A Mother's Reunion in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss

This is a record of an interview with Lin Li Zhenmin, who sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition and her joyous reunion with her husband. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on August 19, 2022.

Lin Li Zhenmin speaks:

"Fengzhi, it is Mother. I have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, so you can finally set your heart at ease. Mother knew that you were constantly wishing and praying for me to reach this place, and now, it has truly come to pass! I have even seen your father. He was smiling and waiting for us, as if he had known all along that I was coming. He looked just as he did in his youth. I never expected to see him again, and I looked back at him with a smile. We are not dead; we have simply reunited here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss."

A World Beyond Imagination

"My daughter, thank you for your immense filial piety. This place is truly magnificent. The temple was already wonderful, but this place is even better—you cannot imagine it until you arrive. I never dreamed such a place existed. Everywhere I look, there is golden light; it is so vast, so brilliant, and the air is filled with a fragrance unlike anything in the mundane world—a scent I have never experienced before. Will I stay here forever? Is this the place of Namo Amituofo that you chant about so often?"

The Power of Repentance and Letting Go

"While I was at the temple, I listened to the teachings given by Practitioner Su, which helped me understand the Dharma. I joined everyone in chanting Namo Amituofo, and it felt truly wonderful; my heart became so peaceful. Initially, I would still think about my life in the human world, but gradually, I stopped dwelling on those things. Thinking about the past is useless; it is far better to focus on chanting the Buddha's name, don't you agree? This is what Practitioner Su often tells everyone: letting go of one's home and attachments is not easy, especially when it concerns the place where you have relied on each other for a lifetime. But now, I see it clearly—there is always a day for parting, and because of this, my heart is much more at peace."

The Grace of Spiritual Deliverance

"It was Practitioner Su who saved me, pulling me out of that dark, lonely space. I had been wandering back and forth in the darkness, desperately searching for an exit, but I could not find one. Suddenly, a brilliant light shone upon me, and in an instant, I was at the temple. At first, I was confused about what was happening, but later, I slowly understood. It was you who helped Mother receive Chao Du. Especially during the Dharma assembly, Practitioner Su would call my name and your name, and he would deliver my karmic creditors. This is true deliverance; only through this can the deceased be sent to the Western Land."

A Daughter's Righteous Path

"Fengzhi, Mother is so happy for you. You have studied the Buddha's teachings for so long, and meeting Practitioner Su has made it all worthwhile! He is a true practitioner who chants the Buddha's name, a person of genuine attainment who is saving beings. He has saved so many, and your father and I are just two among them. Especially during the Dharma assemblies, the number of beings coming to seek deliverance is overwhelming—it is truly beyond what anyone could imagine."

"You have always been independent, with your own views and strong convictions. When you want to do something, you do it, and no one can stop you. Following Practitioner Su to study the Buddha's teachings was the right choice—you did the right thing! Mother supports you. You have even helped the ancestors of both sides of our family receive deliverance; you are truly filial and know how to repay kindness. Mother is so proud of you. Continue to learn well from Practitioner Su, keep chanting Namo Amituofo, and one day, you must come here to join us! It is truly wonderful here!"

"Thank you, Namo Amituofo! Thank you, Practitioner Su! Thank you to everyone!"
