A Nine-Trillion-Year Journey to the Light
An Interview with the Ancient Demon Mo Dian
Recorded by Venerable HaiZe on March 2, 2025
This is a record of an interview with Mo Dian, an ancient demon with a demon age of 9,992 trillion years, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Nature. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on March 2, 2025.
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Greetings, everyone. Today, I received an unexpected instruction from the Greatly Compassionate to have Mo Dian undertake a mission. Seeing the on Practitioner Su’s face, I could not help but feel joyful myself."
"In truth, Practitioner Su cares deeply for the fourfold assembly at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. With his and countless manifestations, combined with his profound skills and spiritual healing, if Practitioner Su were to walk among the public and manifest his powers at any time, he could influence a vast number of people in this world. However, he places his earnest hopes in the fourfold assembly, never leaving their side 24/7. Of course, he is also simultaneously working to deliver demonic beings. But there is another, perhaps even more important reason: he is watching over the fourfold assembly. His constant chanting of the Buddha-name 24/7 is meant to serve as a living example for them, hoping that they, too, will follow suit. Mo Dian sees this very clearly."
The Weight of Nine Trillion Years
"Mo Dian did not enter the Dharma-Nature Land just today; he was brought into the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre by the Buddha-light several days ago. Yet, my demon age remains staggeringly high—I am truly ashamed! Nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-two trillion years. When you say it out loud, it is truly terrifying. Adding or subtracting a single unit is a span of a trillion years. To Mo Dian, this has passed in the blink of an eye because my demon age is simply too long! In reality, there are even older primordial demons than me! It is just that their Causal Conditions have not yet matured. When the time comes, they will naturally manifest. I was genuinely startled when the Greatly Compassionate Amitabha Buddha called my name. I thought I had entered the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre quietly and unnoticed. To think that Amitabha Buddha knew—I am truly filled with gratitude! Amitabha Buddha is the Universal Buddha! He is omniscient and omnipotent!"
A Glimpse of the Infinite
"In truth, I know Amitabha Buddha, and Amitabha Buddha knows me. Having been a demon for so long, I felt a bit embarrassed to face the Buddha. I never expected that the Buddha would still remember me; it is truly moving! Let me briefly describe my Causal Conditions with Amitabha Buddha so that everyone may understand how great he truly is."
"When I first encountered Amitabha Buddha, he was already the Universal Buddha! Nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-one trillion years ago, when I was still just a little demon, the Greatly Compassionate Amitabha Buddha was already the Universal Buddha! To be the 'Universal Buddha' means that Amitabha Buddha resides at the pinnacle of the Dharma Realm, clearly aware of all beings within it. Amitabha Buddha can see the and the fifty-one mental factors of every single being, including the demon crowds."
The Wisdom of the Dharma
"I have been listening to Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks in the Western Land of Dharma Nature recently, and I am truly filled with admiration, which is why I have been using these Buddhist terms. If I use them incorrectly, I ask for your forgiveness. However, the basic concepts are as such. Regarding the elements of the primordial demons within the air molecules of the Dharma Realm, or the primordial demons in deep meditative states within the millions of billions of layers of ice palaces deep underground—which you have been interviewing recently—the Universal Buddha sees them all with perfect clarity."
"The fact that I have been able to live for such an incredibly long time is my way of telling everyone that the spirit of every single being has a lifespan of 9,992 trillion years, or perhaps even longer. There is no need to be surprised by this; it is simply the truth. It is just that the end of each life cycle varies, and the conclusion of one life is merely the beginning of another. This is the reality for the vast majority of beings in the cycle of rebirth—a life lived without any true autonomy."
The Illusion of Control
"To be without autonomy means one has no power to dictate one's own destiny. Let me tell you, the demon crowds also have past lives; they are also part of the cycle of rebirth. Before the Demon Palace became what it is, it had a previous existence. Therefore, the spirit of the Demon Palace has already existed for well over 9,992 trillion years. It just so happens that in this most recent segment of life, I became a demon, even rising to the rank of an ancient demon. But even that has an end. Since entering the Western Land of Dharma Nature, the Demon Palace is no longer a demon. I have ended that life in the Demon Realm and entered another life, another beginning, where I am being reshaped to live a different kind of existence—the life of a Buddha. This, too, is the nature of Causal Conditions: arising and ceasing. It is just that this particular cycle of conditions has been very long—9,992 trillion years."
"The reason a demon becomes a demon also has its causes and consequences. This is what we call the Universal Principle, and the laws of and cause and effect are a part of that Universal Principle. The Dharma Realm must also abide by these Universal Principles; it is just that this space is so vast, so incredibly vast, that it has no boundaries!"
The Nature of the Dharma Realm
"You say that the world is a place where things arise and cease due to Causal Conditions; the Dharma Realm is the same. It is a world of arising and ceasing. Therefore, if one were to say the Dharma Realm is an illusory environment, that would also be a true observation. Planets have their explosions and destruction; the Demon Realm is the same. It is a world of arising and ceasing, which is why there is a time when one begins to be a demon and a time when that life as a demon ends."
"Only by finding one's true self can one attain eternal autonomy. The Buddha has a true self, and every being has a true self. One who finds their true self is called a Buddha. Therefore, even demons have a true self; finding it means becoming a Buddha. This is a great encouragement to the demon crowds. Although you may have committed many evil deeds in the past, do not dwell on them now. That is already in the past. Live in the present moment and chant 'Namo Amituofo'."
The Vastness of the Dharma Realm
"The places where sentient beings in the Dharma Realm and the demon crowds exist are too vast to comprehend. The places where Practitioner Su can perform still contain immense space, but this is already beyond the range that an ordinary spirit can bear or enter. However, the Dharma Body might be different. There are many places people cannot imagine where demon crowds reside, because their living environments are different, and the environments of the Dharma Realm are also different. You can grasp as much as you are able to understand."
"The place where you are now, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, this too is a matter of Causal Conditions arising and ceasing! You cannot stay in this place forever. However, you possess a human body. How long can this body be used? It is like a car; if you maintain it well, you can drive it for a longer time. If you force it to climb mountains and cross seas, pushing it to its limits, the lifespan of the car will be shortened. The human body is just like a car—it is an outer shell containing countless beings. A car has a limit to the number of passengers it can carry, and the human body also has a capacity for the beings it carries. But I look, and I cannot count them all. The beings on every person's body are densely packed."
The Preciousness of the Present
"Therefore, being able to be here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre with Amitabha Buddha, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su is so precious! Although you can see them twenty-four hours a day, hear their Buddha’s words, and even hear the powerful Lion’s Roar of Practitioner Su, can it always be this way? The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is also a place of Causal Conditions arising and ceasing. Everyone must do their best to extend this precious connection, allowing more people, beings, and demon crowds to be saved. This is also the reason why Practitioner Su treats one day as two."
"I look at your bodies, and some are aging quite rapidly! Why? The heart! This heart is constantly moving, and energy is naturally being consumed all the time. Thinking is the easiest way to consume energy. Do not think that it is only through physical labour that you consume strength and energy. That kind of physical exhaustion can be recovered from by eating a little more and resting. But the strength consumed by thinking is not so easily recovered! Therefore, the reason why some human bodies age quickly is that the heart fluctuates very rapidly, and it never rests. This is why practitioners always look younger or appear calm and composed; because their hearts do not move, their energy consumption is limited. Their cells have more energy, can survive longer, and are healthier with less pollution. This is easy to understand and is very consistent with human medicine."
The Universal Principle of Cause and Effect
"Therefore, Causal Conditions arising and ceasing is the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. It exists not only within the space of the human body but also throughout the Earth and the Dharma Realm; it is everywhere. The laws of karma and cause and effect are the same: for every bit of effort, there is a corresponding harvest. This is true for practice in the human world, and why would it be any different in the Demon Realm? Do not look at the Demon King as being so carefree, speaking in such a rough and boisterous manner; behind the scenes, he has put in a tremendous amount of effort to accumulate his energy and train his powers of observation and sensitivity. Some Demon Kings have such deep meditative concentration that you would be terrified just looking at them; such meditative concentration is also cultivated."
"Let me tell everyone, the Demon Realm must also uphold , Concentration, and Wisdom. Precepts, Concentration, and Wisdom are not found only in the Buddha’s teachings. When I heard how important the Precepts, Concentration, and Wisdom of the Buddha’s teachings were, I was also taken aback. My knowledge of Buddhism is not very good, but I was able to learn it quickly and make an analytical comparison with the Demon Realm. There are many things a demon cannot do; if you do them, you lose your concentration. Without concentration, you certainly cannot survive long in the Demon Realm; you will be eliminated. What is meant by 'eliminated' is that your spirit will be trampled upon, withered, and left without the strength to recover."
The State of the Spirit
"However, you can absorb the trace elements and nutrients that exist in the soil or the air. Perhaps after a thousand or ten thousand years, you might revive. This does not mean the spirit is dead; it means the spirit has revived. But the spirit does not die, even if it is severely injured and withered. Those who recover quickly can come back to life sooner, while for those who recover slowly, it could take tens of millions of years before they can become a new life. This is the state of the spirit."
"In fact, this is the same as the six realms of rebirth in the worldly realm. In the six realms of rebirth, you have no autonomy. There is a natural force that assigns your spirit to a certain place, and that is where you survive. When the time comes, you will transfer to another space and survive in another way, whether as a spirit, or in of an animal, or in the human realm."
"In such a state of rebirth, the Dharma Realm is the same! The spirit cannot be autonomous. Why is the human body so precious? Because demon crowds can live stably within a human body if that person has not received Buddhist education and does not know of the existence of demons. From the moment a demon enters their body until death—at most, I have seen the term used in the Alaya , 'one hundred years equals thirty-six thousand days.' Excuse me, Practitioner Su, I saw it and these words naturally surfaced, which means you must have said such things before. If we look at the longest human lifespan in this way, a demon can live in a human body for up to one hundred years."
"However, it usually does not last that long. Demons do not like to enter aging bodies because such bodies have no strength to draw from. If they lose interest, the demon naturally leaves. Of course, other beings still exist in the body, because will not leave so early; they will accompany the person until death. But demons do not. This body is a great place for a demon to accumulate, and it can accelerate the aging of the human body. Because for a person to live a long life, they must have positive energy, and the demon crowds in the body are not positive energy; rather, they are a negative energy that offsets the positive energy within the person. This means that the demon in the body consumes the body's energy and shortens its lifespan."
The Burden of Karmic Creditors
"There is another part to this: does this demon have a karmic relationship with this person? If they do, then there is trouble. Some demons follow a person not just for one life; the demon wants to seek revenge, and it must be that before the person dies, their relationship has deteriorated to the extreme. When the demon is the party that was harmed, and this person is the one who caused the other to become a demon, if the demon crowds in your body have a karmic creditor relationship with you, they will follow you until the very moment you die. Even if you become a demon afterward, they will continue to harm you. Some will wait until you die and your spirit leaves the body, and they can still vent their anger on your spirit, or even drag you into the Demon Realm to be a demon. When you are their 'demon child or grandchild,' they can bully you as they please. Some 'demon children and grandchildren' are bullied until they do not even look like demons anymore."
"Therefore, cause and effect is a Universal Principle. To be a person, one must be a good person and not form karmic enmities with others. This is also the principle that Practitioner Su teaches the fourfold assembly. The Universal Principle is applicable everywhere. Everyone must know what kind of person the Practitioner Su you have encountered is! You must listen to what he says! If you do not listen, you are the ones who will suffer a loss. Even we, the ancient demon generation, have to listen. Ah, no, I cannot say that, because in the Buddha’s teachings, all beings are equal."
"If you have been a demon crowd in the past, at this time, if your every thought and intention is in sync with demons, or if a karmic creditor happens to enter your body, then it will not be easy for you to turn things around. To say it is not easy, there is a way to resolve it, and that is Namo Amituofo. Amitabha Buddha is the Universal Buddha; he sees everyone with perfect clarity and certainly has a way to save you. The Buddha has great ! This is where the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre has the upper hand, which is to say, if you listen, you can become a Buddha! When you encounter a brilliant teacher, you will naturally have brilliant disciples. Since you have encountered the Buddha, there will be a day when you become a Buddha. Because the Buddha can prescribe the right medicine, addressing why you cannot become a Buddha and addressing your problem of reincarnating throughout your many lives, especially by giving you an education at the critical points, or even testing you. The critical points are the reasons that keep you from leaving the cycle of rebirth throughout your many lives. The Buddha, of course, knows this! He sees it with perfect clarity!"
"At this point, since the goal is to help everyone become a Buddha, one must start from the most critical areas. This is what we call achieving twice the result with half the effort. If you can endure it and pass the tests, you will make significant progress and can quickly become a Buddha. However, if you do not listen, or worse, create much negative karma and break the Precepts, even the Buddha can only sigh. Well, the Buddha does not actually sigh—I am just using a metaphor. It is more accurate to say that the Buddha waits, waiting until the Causal Conditions are ripe to come and save you.
The Long Wait for Deliverance
It is just like what Namo Amituofo said to the little demon of the Demon Palace back then. He must have seen a day, nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-two trillion years later, when Namo Amituofo could finally save the Demon Palace. I believe this to be true. Therefore, those who know how to cherish and grasp these days spent with the Buddha at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre are truly wise and possess great intelligence. Of course, Practitioner Su is the leader; he knows the preciousness of the Buddha better than anyone, treating one day as if it were two. Honestly, for the physical body, one truly needs immense perseverance to endure this. He has persevered, and this is the reward and energy the Buddha has bestowed upon him. Moreover, he can freely travel to and from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Every time I see his spirit, whoosh! He is already in the Western Pure Land, soaking in the waters of the West.
A Sanctuary of Transformation
I cannot enter the Western Pure Land myself. I am held fast on a lotus seat, unable to move. In truth, the lotus seat can move; it is a very soft seat that adjusts according to our form. You can move however you like, but it simply will not let you leave that lotus seat. Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su are incredibly brilliant to provide us with such a place to stay, allowing us to listen to the sutras, hear the Dharma, and properly transform ourselves. Everyone is so joyful! Because this is a place that only the power of the Buddha could create. When you see that every being on the Western Land of Dharma Nature is smiling, and not a single one is wearing a sorrowful face, you will understand how great the power of the Buddha’s teachings is! It just depends on whether you are willing to go and receive it.
The Unparalleled Skill of Practitioner Su
In fact, through these interviews with the spiritual realms, the compassion and guidance from Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su have benefited us immensely. Of course, the greatest benefit is being led to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This skill is something only Practitioner Su possesses. It is as if he has pushed the capabilities of the spirit to the absolute limit. Things that other spirits cannot do, he has achieved. Because he understands the preciousness of Namo Amituofo and learns from Him, he is simply too brilliant! This is not something you can learn just by talking about it. You have to put it into practice with real, solid effort to be able to learn it. Do you all think it is easy for Practitioner Su to treat one day as two? You have to live like this to be able to learn the Buddha’s skills!
The Rare Opportunity to Become a Buddha
Therefore, you fourfold assembly of disciples, if you want to achieve good results, you cannot succeed without putting in the effort. You have the opportunity to become a Buddha. As for those outside the temple, they do not have the opportunity to become a Buddha; they have not encountered the Buddha, so how could they become one? You must encounter the Buddha to have the chance to become a Buddha! Of course, there are beings who 'the blue dye is extracted from the indigo plant but is bluer than the plant,' but they are far too few! Especially in this modern age, with technology at the forefront.
Technology vs. The Power of the Spirit
However, let me ask you: even with the fastest aircraft on Earth, how long does it take to fly around the world? Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body can circle the Earth in an instant. Can any technological flight tool achieve that? My point is, can the fastest flight tool on Earth complete a circle around the world in an instant? This is what it means to have a body that is the 'technology of technologies'! This is the power of the spirit. People cannot even imagine it; they think, 'How is that possible?' This is a skill that can only be learned by those at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
The Demon’s Perspective
We ancient demons and old demons possess this skill, but we do not do it to save sentient beings or to spread the Buddha-name across the Earth. We would never do such a thing. From the perspective of the Demon Realm, we absolutely want to prevent the Buddha-name from spreading in this world, and we want to stop it with the fastest speed possible. Yet, Practitioner Su’s speed of 'divine foot' is too fast—it far exceeds that of the demons—so we cannot stop him, and we have no choice but to let him perform.
Practitioner Su wants to gift this ability to everyone, and we are also waiting to see who has the capacity to receive Practitioner Su’s skills. This depends on whether the human world has these , and whether the Earth has these blessings. Actually, it should be said: whether sentient beings in the Dharma realm have these blessings. If they do, everyone will continue to be saved; if not, Practitioner Su has already saved quite a few spirits. The Law of Cause, Condition, and Effect is just like this. However, I see that this matter has only just begun; there is still a long road ahead, with many changes to come.
The Importance of Endurance
The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is led by Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su. Whenever there is an opportunity, they allow the fourfold assembly of disciples to learn many truths. But, are you all capable of enduring hardship? Can you actually learn it? Can you withstand the pressure? This depends on each person’s karmic fortune. Do not be afraid of suffering! Those who fear suffering cannot accomplish anything great. In truth, this is truly saving yourselves.
Do not think that because Practitioner Su subdued the old demons so easily, the old demons must have no skills, or that becoming a demon is not difficult. If you want to be a demon, there are many little demons and 'demon children and grandchildren,' and that is indeed not difficult. But to become an ancestor demon is not an easy task, and to subdue an ancestor demon is even harder! Yet, Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have already subdued immeasurable and boundless ancestor demons, ancient demons, and old demons.
The Melting of the Ice Palace
In fact, I entered the Western Land of Dharma Nature because the Buddha-light of Namo Amituofo and the Twelve Lights of Practitioner Su shone into the hidden Demon Ice Palace where I resided, and the ice inside melted! Could I stay inside? The ice molecules and water molecules I lived in were all gone. I had no choice but to come out! As soon as I came out and was bathed in the light, I was brought here. I was not even clear about what was happening; things happened too fast! I had stayed in that Demon Ice Palace for five trillion years, and yet, with just one shine of the Buddha-light, I melted! Where would you ever hear of such a thing? If it were not told, could you ever imagine it? No matter how creative a human mind is, it probably could not have thought of it! But the fact happened, and it happened extremely quickly.
However, after I entered the Western Land of Dharma Nature and looked back, I suddenly had an 'Aha!' moment regarding the words Namo Amituofo said to me when I was a little demon. It turns out there would be such a day, and I truly encountered Namo Amituofo. And it was not even a matter of 'surrender'—surrender means the demon crowds are willing, so they come to seek refuge. I did not even have the chance to surrender before I was brought here. This is much faster than surrendering! This is also the compassion of Namo Amituofo toward me, because I did not have to use my brain, look at my past, or reach any conclusions; I was simply brought here directly.
A Call to the Demon Realm
My 'demon children and grandchildren' are numerous. Many are not just developing in the Dharma realm; they have gone to the Milky Way and the universe to develop. The power of demons can expand infinitely; wherever there is space, there can be demons. However, there are many types of demons. Looking at it now, almost all the demon crowds that Practitioner Su has saved have 'demon children and grandchildren' in existence, including on Earth. Of course, they do not know I have been saved, and they do not even recognize me, the ancestor demon. But now that I am being interviewed, they will know. Because every demon has a special magnetic field on their body; once this magnetic field is activated, it can break through space, and any demon with sufficient sensitivity can receive it.
So, I will tell all the demons who receive my message: put down everything you are doing, come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, and surrender at the feet of Namo Amituofo! This is not an ordinary matter; there is nothing more important than this. Life in the Demon Realm is very bitter. If you want to leave suffering behind, now is the time; there is no better opportunity than the present. I say this, and perhaps some demon crowds will not take it to heart. This is the same reason why many practitioners who have not yet tasted suffering do not know what suffering is, and thus cannot generate a heart of compassion—especially the young people today. I have seen Practitioner Su’s sighs; this is also their Collective Karma and Causal Conditions, so one can only do one’s best.
The Urgency of the Moment
There is a very special situation among the demon crowds: they are extremely sensitive to messages sent by ancestor demons, demon kings, or 'demon children and grandchildren' of the same series. Therefore, if the juniors who receive the message from the Demon Palace hear this, everyone must treat this as the most important matter. This is extremely serious; I am not joking. Because such an opportunity is hard to encounter even once in a lifetime. I also waited nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-two trillion years to encounter it for the first time. How many nine-thousand-trillion-year cycles do you have to spend? It is hard to guarantee that you won't be sucked away by the laws of karma and cause and effect in the next second, and by then, it will be too late.
The end for the demon crowds is very miserable. Conversely, what will be the result for those who follow the Buddha? Just look at Practitioner Su! Practitioner Su is a top-tier figure in practice. He can invite the venerable ones from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss to come down and look after the fourfold assembly of disciples. I have never seen such a thing in history! Probably no other practitioner has ever been so bold and powerful as to be able to invite the Western venerable ones to protect you. This is also your karmic fortune; you must cherish it well! This means that you will absolutely not find a second place with this kind of magnetic field. Why? Wherever the Buddha is, the Buddha-light can change the local magnetic field, let alone at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, where there is more than one Buddha existing in different spaces. There are so many, we cannot count them! The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss has the existence of infinite Buddhas; each one is a future Buddha, and all can become Buddhas. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a place that is very close to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
We can see from the Western Land of Dharma Nature that during Dharma assemblies, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is extremely bright and luminous. These are the lights emitted by the beings of the Western Land, though of course, they do not compare to Namo Amituofo. Everyone is filled with Dharma joy when they see the Buddha-light. In fact, we are also constantly bathed in the Buddha-light here. You fourfold assembly of disciples are also often bathed in the Buddha-light, but why is it that under such a magnetic field, after trying to change for so long, you still revert to your original form? Your personality flares up, your temper flares up, old problems reappear, and you are back to your wild, wandering thoughts."
Namo Amituofo.
Ultimately, you must save yourselves. The fourfold assembly at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre has received so many opportunities for salvation from the Buddha. These are opportunities that people outside this centre dream of, yet they lack the Causal Conditions to obtain them. Since you have the opportunity, if your own strength is insufficient to save yourself, you must simply work harder. To be honest, there is no excuse for failing to save yourself—you are saving your own life, not someone else's! No matter what the reason, you must overcome it.
Some people might say, 'It is the interference of the demon crowds that prevents me from being in control.' This is a fact, yes. But do you truly want to save yourself? If you do, you must overcome whatever interference the demon crowds throw at you. If you do not resonate with the demon crowds, there is little they can do to you. If you can chant the Buddha-name from beginning to end, 24/7 without interruption, I do not believe the demon crowds have the ability to stay with you for long—unless they intend to turn towards the Good. Under the guidance of Practitioner Su, even if the demons are within your body, they can listen to the Sutras and hear the Dharma. Perhaps they want to turn towards the Good; if so, that is perfect. While you are chanting the Buddha-name, prostrating, and reciting the Sutras, they can also receive some merit, follow along in these practices, and be delivered. These things are all possible.
The Truth of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre
Therefore, you must listen to the Buddha; you will never suffer a loss by doing so. At the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, the consequence of failing to protect yourself is being used and controlled by other beings—it is simply not worth it. This place is truly not an ordinary location. Could you find anywhere else in the world that could interview a demon that has existed for 9,992 trillion years? People would be scared to death, or they would accuse you of using supernatural powers. It does not matter if those who do not understand the truth refuse to listen. They truly do not understand the facts, and in doing so, they create immense negative karma—truly massive negative karma. To survive here, one must abide by the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way; otherwise, you will only eliminate yourself.
Today, I, from the Demon Realm, have spent a short time sharing some of my insights with you all. I hope this will be helpful. Of course, if there is anything you need me to assist with, I am in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. I cannot go anywhere else, but I can provide you with some advice at any time.
The Complexity of the Human Body
The human body is truly precious. In the boundless Dharma Realm, there are countless planets. There are planets with life, yes, but none have a physical structure as complex as the human body. What is even more special is that the body can house so many beings. This is a matter truly worthy of exploration. A human can practice to become a Buddha, but they can also practice until they fall into the hells; this is a very unique phenomenon. It is the 'heart' that is in charge. But which being's heart is in charge? The heart referred to here is the heart of the spirit, not the physical heart.
If we look at the physical heart, it is much simpler. The body is governed by one heart. If the heart beats, life exists; if the heart stops, life ceases. The physical heart is indeed vital. However, a human being is composed of three parts: Body, Mind, and Spirit.
Regarding the spirit, I see that inside a human body, there is not just one spirit, but densely packed spirits. This creates a massive challenge. Because there are so many spirits, each one has an Alaya consciousness. The spirit is composed of the Alaya consciousness, which forms the heart of the spirit. Therefore, with densely packed spirits, there are densely packed Alaya consciousnesses, and thus, densely packed hearts. If every spirit were awake, it would be a terrifying world. Which heart would emerge to take control? It is almost always the karmic creditors, attached spirits, or demon crowds. How is the true self supposed to survive in such a situation? It is too difficult. In the end, which heart takes control?
The Hidden Truth of the 'Main Spirit'
Actually, let me report this to you: members of the fourfold assembly, your bodies contain immeasurable and boundless spirits. It sounds heavy, but it is the truth. Some of these spirits are active, and I can see that every one of them looks different. Because it is so crowded, some spirits are squeezed to the edges, some have a little space to move, and others cannot move at all—much like the demon crowds pressed under a great mountain. These spirits are in extreme suffering. Those that can move are arrogant and aggressive, and most are ill-intentioned. I have seen the spirits of monastics inside as well. Although they do not express much, one can feel that their energy is also not kind; presumably, this person once offended these monastics in the past. This is the individual's own karma with the beings within them.
With so many spirits existing in one body, where has the main spirit, the 'true self', gone? It is truly hard to find. The space is so densely packed; if the true self is not in the heart, where is it? Some true selves are pressed until they are tiny, withered, and locked away. We do not need to exert much effort to see this; our 'demon eyes' intuitively know where the true self is.
The heart is where the true self should normally reside. However, we see that the heart is not occupied by the true self. This means the body is not being governed by the true self. So, where has the true self gone? Let me report this to you.
Some true selves are locked in the head, especially in people who love to let their minds wander, who are always overthinking or getting tangled in trivial matters. Some true selves are locked in the eyes, especially in those who always look for the bad, who never think in a positive direction, who ignore the good and insist on focusing on others' flaws—their true selves are locked in their eyes.
Then there is the mouth; the mouth is also a place where the true self is locked. This is especially true for those who love to speak out and point out others' faults the moment they feel displeased, or those who are sharp-tongued and refuse to let others have the last word—their true selves are locked in their mouths. Then, there are those locked in the heart. If the heart is always worrying about this or that and cannot let go, even if they do not say it out loud, the eyes of the spirits see it clearly. If you cannot let go and have people or things you are attached to, the true self is easily locked in the heart.
Furthermore, the true self is often locked in the lower body. It seems that many men are like this. The lower body relates to emotions between men and women, or infatuation—whether it is attraction, repulsion, hatred, or a silent, lingering emotional attachment that one cannot express, especially while in the temple. In such cases, the true self is locked in the lower body; this happens to both men and women.
The Path to
So, the true self is not always in the same place; it depends on the state of the individual. If it is the spirit of an awakened being, the spirit I see is extremely transparent, happy, and cool, existing in the position of the heart. It is truly the King of the Heart! At this time, the true self can command countless manifestations and can command the salvation team. Each one is taught to be very dignified, polite, and appears to have full skills. This is the spirit of a practitioner who has realised their true nature and attained Buddhahood.
Members of the fourfold assembly, you have such a ready-made example to learn from, yet you let your spirits be locked away according to your karma—it is such a pity! However, every Thursday, the 'calling back of the three hun souls and seven po souls' is a massive gift Practitioner Su gives to everyone. This gift, sent out every Thursday, is extremely precious and cannot be obtained anywhere else. In the Dharma Realm and the entire universe, this does not exist; only here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia can everyone's three hun souls and seven po souls be called back into their bodies. This cannot be done without great compassion and deep skills, and it cannot be performed without the necessary affinity. For Practitioner Su, many things happen naturally when the conditions are ripe. Of course, the ones who receive the benefits of the Dharma most directly are the members of the fourfold assembly. You must learn to cherish this! I have seen that almost every old demon has told you this; I hope you take it to heart.
Returning to the point, if the body is not governed by the true self, it is governed by karmic creditors, attached spirits, and demon crowds. I know the demon crowds too well. If your every thought and intention gives the demon crowds a handle, they will exploit it. Originally, a matter might be trivial, but if demon crowds participate, they will blow it out of proportion—turning a small ripple into a massive wave, or even a tidal wave. This is absolutely a great injury to the body. Why do the demon crowds do this? Because the energy of the waves they create is the energy they want to absorb! The larger the wave, the stronger the energy within, especially negative energy, which perfectly resonates with the demon crowds. Therefore, if there are demon crowds in the body, it is almost inevitable that your personality will flare up. By using your personality, preferences, and interests, they cause your heart to fluctuate. Such fluctuations are what the demon crowds love. At the same time, because of the energy consumption, the body will also experience fatigue, sleepiness, and a lack of vitality.
Conversely, the Buddha's teachings ask everyone to be pure, to have a heart without fluctuations, to have meditative concentration, and to uphold the Precepts; only then will Wisdom grow. This is the 'Precepts, Concentration, and Wisdom' that Practitioner Su often teaches everyone. The Precepts allow your heart to avoid fluctuations because you dare not break them; breaking the Precepts leads to suffering, so naturally, you will not think of doing so, and the thought is stopped. This energy is calm. Meditative concentration is even more stable; when the heart does not move and has no fluctuations, energy consumption is minimal. Therefore, those who have entered samadhi do not need to eat or drink. In a deep meditative state, the trace elements and moisture in the air are enough to nourish the body. Even when old demons enter samadhi, this is how they maintain the existence of their spirits so they do not wither. Wisdom is even more necessary for practice. Without Wisdom to lead, one is very likely to enter deviant paths or the Demon Realm. Therefore, human practice requires the guidance of Wisdom.
Logically speaking, a practitioner's body should have fewer beings within it because of these norms and Precepts. But I think many people are working hard. This requires skills, and the cultivation of skills is not achieved overnight. Moreover, one must have a vow to be able to learn these skills. Practice without a vow is a tragic thing. Days pass one by one, but the heart has nothing to rely on; it is like walking on a dark road without a light to guide the way forward. Is such a person not tragic? As for their body, naturally, many beings exist within it together. Namo Amituofo.
Why do these attached spirits or demon crowds appear at such moments? It is because there is a specific need or condition that aligns with them. If the other party is a karmic creditor, the time for them to seek revenge has arrived; it is their turn to collect. At this time, many people fall into a drowsy state and enter 'space.' We see the true self being kicked, slapped, and scolded by angry beings in this space, or forced into a corner, trembling with nowhere to escape. At these moments, you cannot see these 'situations' in space. Practitioner Su can see them, which is why he often stops you from continuing to enter that state—he is protecting your spirit! Yet, you do not care about Practitioner Su’s calls; you continue to fall into a drowsy state and enter that space anyway.
The Dangers of the Drowsy Mind
Furthermore, your —some of you fall into such a deep state that it is not easy to wake up. Others can remain clear-headed and can get up immediately, but they soon fall back into that drowsy state. This indicates that the beings are holding on very tightly and following you very closely. Therefore, where there is a cause, there must be a fruit. At such times, the best method is what Practitioner Su often teaches everyone: chant Buddha's name loudly or perform prostrations. Once the Buddha-light shines, it can at least soothe the beings that have manifested. Once the beings are soothed, your body will suffer less. This is the situation we see from the Demon Palace. This body is truly not being used by yourself.
The Reality of Spiritual Attachment
Facing death is a very realistic aspect of the human world, also known as impermanence. You can imagine that such a body is surely densely packed with beings. Unless you have cultivated enough Goodness in your next life to reach the heavenly realms or be reborn as a human, the beings on a dying body are usually more aggressive, irritable, and restless. If you are an Asura, I see that even the fourfold assembly (monks, nuns, laymen, laywomen) have Asuras on them. Some are more polite, appearing and disappearing, but when they turn hostile, that is when the Asura truly emerges. Some are clearly standing on the face. A person with a discerning eye can see they are possessed by an Asura, which is also a form of damage to the human body. Who would want to be a fierce, demonic person? Everyone wants to be kind, gentle, and approachable—someone who thinks of others and makes people happy to be near them. But people will keep their distance from those possessed by Asuras, staying as far away as possible. In this situation, there is indeed a need to adjust your own character.
The Universal Principle of Cause and Effect
In fact, these beings are just a reflection of yourself; whatever kind of beings they are, they attach themselves to people with that same kind of character. This is called the universal principle. Collecting debts, repaying debts, harboring grievances, and seeking revenge—these are the phenomena of the laws of karma and cause and effect as taught in the Buddha’s teachings. It makes so much sense! If your karma is finished and has been halted, that is truly the best thing that could happen. The true self in such a state is certainly very joyful, without any burdens, and can travel back to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss with ease. Such a spirit is truly enviable. This exists at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Center; Practitioner Su is such a Buddha.
The Compassion of Practitioner Su
At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Center, just listen! Many things do not happen simply because they have been blocked. When people make mistakes and create karma, Amitabha Buddha, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, or Practitioner Su will remind everyone, hoping that you will change your ways. You must listen! If you forget to listen, because your body is still creating karma, when the beings manifest or the retribution arrives, you are the one who will suffer the most.
In fact, many demon crowds are also transformed by the lectures given by Practitioner Su, and only then do they come to seek refuge—this is the situation in the Demon Realm. However, there are still many demon crowds whose character is very stubborn, with strong ego-attachment and fixed views. No matter how much counseling is offered, they do not believe that it is a real thing that demon crowds can be subdued. Therefore, they continue to use 'magic' and have no intention of stopping. Later, they are sent by the compassionate Practitioner Su into the Dharma-Nature Land, where they have the opportunity to be transformed and repent. They are not punished; we must truly be grateful for this!
Gratitude to Amitabha Buddha, gratitude to Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, gratitude to Practitioner Su.
