The Boundless Nature of the Mind

On the morning of 27 June 2017, following the morning walking meditation, Practitioner Su shared a profound insight. During the session, an immeasurable and boundless number of spirits were saved by the of Namo Amituofo and the ancestral masters, and were guided to the of Ultimate Bliss. This was an inconceivable realm, filled with the of the . We humbly requested Namo Amituofo to provide his compassionate teachings on this event.

Namo Amituofo teaches us that while the world measures things by their physical form, the void measures them by an infinite count. Whether a being possesses or is considered inanimate, all are contained within this vast expanse. You must ask yourself: where does your heart truly belong? Our physical bodies and lifespans are finite, yet our and wisdom-life are truly endless.

Your heart can be as small as a pore or as vast as the universe. When your mind-capacity is small, you are limited by your own . However, when your mind-capacity is vast, how could anything possibly measure it? It exists within a boundless and immense space. Every moment is a storehouse of infinite treasures, and every second is an act of the Buddha-vow in motion.

The Path of Faith, Vows, and Practice

Our physical lives pass in the blink of an eye, yet our spirits have wandered through the cycle of rebirth for countless aeons. You and I are beings connected by karmic affinity, each of us drifting in the vast ocean of . For life after life, we have wandered in confusion, until the moment we saw the Buddha-light and faith began to arise within us.

We speak of the of Faith, Vows, and Practice, but how many of us truly understand their deep meaning? The sounds, the light, and the fleeting moments of our lives pass by so quickly. We may use beautiful words to praise the Buddha, but who can truly hear and understand the deeper truth? Only those with a sensitive and awakened awareness can do so.

Whether you are in the six realms of existence or among the four holy states, you should be more aware and strive to reach the precious land. The vow of Namo Amituofo will never change. Among the disciples of the Dharma, although some possess virtue, who can truly put these vows into practice? You must keep the Buddha-name with you at all times, 24/7, and never let it leave your heart.

The Mission of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre

The establishment of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a call that must be heard. Practitioner Su has experienced the Fragrant Light chamber, and we must invite all beings to join us with a compassionate heart, remaining vigilant and never daring to slacken in our efforts. The spirits in the netherworld have long known of this heart. How many have already been saved and reborn in the West?

Among the five disciples, each carries the image of the Sangha, and each has their own past merits. It is only through and good roots that this can manifest, allowing them to follow Practitioner Su in resolving the suffering of all beings. The scene of today, where an immeasurable and boundless number of beings were saved, was not a one-time event. The ancestral masters are here protecting this place, just as the Dharma protectors are busy at work.

The light is bright and radiant, spreading across this world and to other lands. Namo Amituofo has never been absent from this place; if you can see the Buddha here, your heart is truly awakened. Countless illnesses are healed, karmic grievances are resolved, and beings are sent to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. The beings of the six realms of existence and the four holy states all rejoice in the blessings of these beings.

The Unprecedented Act of Saving Beings

On the same day, the disciple Venerable Fa Xi asked: To save an immeasurable and boundless number of beings is an unprecedented event in history. I humbly request the Buddha’s compassionate teachings on this matter.

Namo Amituofo teaches: This is an event without historical precedent and without future comparison. It is a praiseworthy act, unique in this dusty world. In the void, it is a singular vision. The work of Chao Du is a great matter, yet few understand it, and the world remains in darkness. Time passes in an instant. You have come into this life with a physical body, but what is the ultimate purpose? It is certainly not for mere enjoyment.

Why is the human body so difficult to obtain? Because life after life, we are always being born. What are the difficulties we face? We wander through many lifetimes. Where will we go in the next life? If it is not the human realm, where must we go? We must aim for the heavenly realms or the Western Pure Land. If we do not reach the Pure Land, it is difficult. At the end of a human life, there is much turmoil and suffering. Whether it is the suffering of illness on a deathbed or a state of ignorance, this is the reality of human life. The state of illness and the state of death are things everyone must face. Do you understand the truth of the path?

The Unity of All Beings

If you are a practitioner of the Pure Land, do you know that you have come here with a human body that is hard to encounter after many aeons? If you leave with this human body and continue to wander for many more aeons, you will only be released if you truly escape the cycle of rebirth. This is the cycle of rebirth and karmic action. Once you have lived a human life, it is difficult to be born as a human again.

All things in the void are transformations of the spirit. Where does the spirit come from? It changes within the cycle of rebirth. It is a great vortex that twists and turns according to karmic destiny. All things possess life because of this. Can you understand? All things and all phenomena are one body; there is no distinction between you and me. We all emerge from this vortex, driven by karma. Competition and struggle are merely cutting at our own roots.

How can we be reborn? The laws of the universe are all based on the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, and are all written in the text of karma. If you are judged to live, you live; if you are judged to die, you cycle again. If you have nothing to follow, it is all self-created. If you hold onto your attachments, even the Buddha cannot help you. Most things in the world are like this.

Just as the vow of Ksitigarbha states that he will not become a Buddha until the hells are empty, when will they be empty? Instead, they are full of suffering. The universe is boundless, and sentient beings are contained within it, scattered across various spaces. They do not pay attention to each other and are unrelated, each living their own life, whether sentient or insentient. It is difficult to save those with stubborn attachments. Today, we rely on the great Dharma, with Namo Amituofo leading the way and Practitioner Su leading the Chao Du. By combining human effort and the Buddha’s power, we can break through space. Through walking meditation and chanting Namo Amituofo, we can save the entire void and the Dharma Realm. The immeasurable and boundless reality is truly presented.

It is through the courage of our vows and our strength that this can be done. With a heart of great compassion, there is no discrimination. This is the true work of saving beings. I hope you will all learn from this, to act on behalf of the Buddha to save the world, and to become a Buddha to save the world. If you only care for your own body and those around you, is it worth it? You will still have to face the consequences. You must develop a great heart, learn from the Buddha, and cultivate together. Let your true flow and make a great, compassionate vow. Vow to save all beings, because we are all of one heart and one body. The Buddha’s teachings are wonderful. You may not see the skills, but in truth, it is the measure of compassion and the nourishment of a beautiful heart. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre will grow from this. May the temple protect you, and may you return in glory.
