This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Liu Fu Tianzhen, the mother of Lay Practitioner Liu Lijie, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This interview was recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fajing, on September 8, 2023.

Lay Practitioner Liu Fu Tianzhen speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is truly magnificent! I have never in all my existence witnessed a place of such breathtaking beauty. I am filled with such profound gratitude that the Buddha would allow a soul like mine to arrive here. Most of all, I must express my deepest thanks to Practitioner Su. Without the extraordinary skills and spiritual power of Practitioner Su, I would never have had the opportunity to find liberation. I am eternally grateful to Namo Amituofo, and I am eternally grateful to Practitioner Su.

The Agony of Endless Rebirth

Think about it—I have lived in the world for so long, or so it seemed. But now, seeing the cycle of my own rebirths throughout countless lives, I realise that I have been trapped in samsara for far, far longer than I ever imagined. And it was so painful! I have been a dog, a cat, and a servant in the homes of others. I have been everything, yet in all those lifetimes, I never once had the chance to truly break free.

Before this, I was already trapped in the ghost realm. Every single day, my mind was clouded and confused. I did not know what I was doing, and I had no sense of how much time had passed—it felt like an eternity of nothingness. Then, not long ago, a brilliant golden light appeared before me. I heard someone calling my name, and a powerful force pushed me forward. That was the moment I finally left the ghost realm and was brought to Practitioner Su. At the time, I had no idea what was happening; my mind was still so incredibly foggy.

Through the

I remember sitting on a lotus seat, listening to Practitioner Su deliver Dharma talks. At first, I could not understand a word. I just closed my eyes and listened, over and over again. Slowly, I began to feel more and more clear-headed. It was the Buddha-light here that was helping me, purifying my entire being so that I could finally wake up. After that, the more I listened to the Dharma, the more I understood. By this past week, I finally saw the truth of everything. I made the firm decision that I wanted to go to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I did not have a single moment of hesitation because I knew in my heart that the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is truly wonderful—it is the realm of Namo Amituofo.

A Final Message to My Descendants

Even today, right before I arrived here in the West, I was still a little nervous. I was afraid that I might not make it up. Fortunately, I held onto Practitioner Su's hand very tightly. With just one pull from Practitioner Su, I was here! It was so fast, so incredible—the spiritual skills are truly remarkable.

I am sharing these words because I hope that all my children and grandchildren will learn to practise Buddhism. I want them to see that I have not truly died; this spirit, which had been trapped in the cycle of rebirth for so long, was rescued and brought to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, where I will never have to suffer again! It is so pure and so wonderful here. I want to tell my children: you must listen to my words. There is nothing in this world more important than learning the Dharma. It can help others, and it can help yourselves. To be free from the cycle of rebirth after death—that is the only thing of true value. As a mother, I see it all so clearly now. Everyone in the world is at a dead end, and there are so many waiting to seek revenge. You all have them on you, too. You must hurry and learn the Dharma, and you must hurry and change your ways so that you do not have to suffer. You should also help others more and do more good deeds; it will be of great benefit to you all.

Please thank Practitioner Su on my behalf, and thank everyone at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Namo Amituofo. Liu Fu Tianzhen bows in reverence."
