On the eighteenth of September, 2017, the disciple Shi Faxi respectfully invited Namo Amituofo to offer compassionate guidance. Namo Amituofo provided the following Words of Namo Amituofo to illuminate the path for all practitioners.

The Blossoming of Sincere Vows

When you truly awaken your vow, your pure nature begins to shine. If your vows are sincere and grounded in the truth, a lotus will bloom for you in the of Ultimate Bliss. This lotus is born from the soil of your own heart; it manifests when the impurities of the world are cast aside. By following the path of practice, you nurture this lotus, allowing it to open its petals and grow through the cultivation of virtue.

To be reborn in the Western Pure Land, you must nurture the lotus of your own practice. Every act of devotion and every moment of chanting serves as nourishment for this growth. When you align your life with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, your lotus will surely flourish. Conversely, if you stray from this path, the lotus will wither, and you will find it difficult to make progress on your journey.

The Clarity of the True Self

Your practice must be rooted in your true self, for this is the ground of reality. When your vows increase, the birth of the lotus happens naturally. As your heart becomes clear and pure, it reflects the light of the like a polished crystal or a transparent bead of water. This is the state of the pure lotus, waiting for the soul to return home. In this world of dust and shadows, you have been reborn many times, but your original, virtuous nature remains hidden beneath the layers of karmic defilement.

You may ask, where is the Buddha within these changing forms? Have you ever heard of the true nature that resides within you? I am always with you, walking by your side as a constant companion. Even a tiny spark of light from your heart is illuminated by my presence. If your heart is like the Buddha's, I will wipe away the dust so that it shines clearly. As you continue to practise, your heart will become increasingly luminous.

Cultivating the Buddha Within

When your own heart becomes the Buddha, you are the Buddha in that very moment. Your true nature is alive, and the Buddha is alive within your true nature. The essence of practice is to transmit purity without any trace of turbidity. Why do you concern yourself with the mundane ways of the world? In truth, the worldly path has no real meaning. If you drop a single drop of ink into a pool of pure water, the ink will spread and cloud the clarity. The great Dharma is like pure water; even a small amount of worldly defilement can stain it.

Therefore, the teachings must be transmitted in their purity to nourish a pure heart. Do not seek the ways of the world; seek only to verify the purity of your own nature. By verifying this purity, you will steady your heart, see through the illusions of the world, and escape the cycle of rebirth. You will surely possess an awakened heart.

The Unwavering Path of Faith, Vows, and Practice

Maintain your perseverance, for it is the foundation of your true state. As you pass through this life, let your actions be guided by your vows. If you do not let your heart turn away, if you do not let your efforts slacken, you are truly acting as a Buddha would. In all these states of being, your true heart remains indestructible, just as your true vows are a promise that will never be broken.

As you have heard, you must be consistent in your practice. Your Faith, Vows, and Practice must be one. When your faith is sincere, you will no longer have wandering thoughts. Your determination to turn towards the Buddha will be absolute, and your awareness will be like that of the Buddha. Do not be swayed by worldly distractions; rely only on the truth you have verified. There is no need for further words; simply walk the path with sincerity and follow the Right Way.

These teachings were recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Shi Faxi.
