This is a record of an interview with Lin Min-san, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on September 20, 2018.

Lin Min-san speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Within this illusory worldly realm, the universe undergoes constant transformations every single day. These shifts are incredibly subtle, yet they are profound. The dust and debris of the universe have diminished significantly, and the magnetic fields have shifted in ways unlike anything I have ever known. I have witnessed the countless manifestations of the Buddha, and beings from across the stars are being drawn toward the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is like a warm, protective nest. Every syllable of the Buddha-name, Namo Amituofo, resonates deeply within my ear . For those of us who were imprisoned in the void of space, this was an unprecedented . We flowed out like a great, surging flood.

The Agony of Ego-Attachment

I was lost, completely unaware of how much time had passed. In the blink of an eye, a millennium had gone by. Those days of emptiness and falsehood were the result of my own deep-seated ego-attachment, which ultimately harmed me. From within that dark space, I cried out, 'Oh, the injustice of my own attachments!' Every scene from my life, every memory, manifested before me just before I died. My spirit was then swept away, curled up and pulled into a space I did not recognise. I sat crouched on the ground, desperate for the day I could finally leave. I struck the walls, I wandered aimlessly, but there was no way out. Nothing here was familiar to me; only a few fragmented images from my life appeared in this space. I trembled, my body swaying, and I became utterly despondent. I had completely given up on the possibility of ever escaping.

The Sound of Deliverance

Then, I heard a distinct sound from outside that space. My consciousness was blurred, so I could not hear it clearly at first. I could not see the world outside. But then, amidst a violent shaking, the sound grew closer and closer. The space itself began to tremble intensely, and suddenly, I was cast out. The sound pierced through my ears, and my consciousness gradually became clear. My body felt light, supple, and free. A lotus flower appeared gently before me. I sat upon the lotus, and it began to move with incredible speed. I tried to chant Buddha's name along with the rhythm. To my surprise, the moment I opened my mouth to chant, the energy of the Buddha-name permeated my entire being. My body grew warm, and a golden light radiated from within me.

A Journey to the Western Pure Land

I looked out at the scenery around me, and it was filled with immeasurable and boundless golden lotus flowers. Every lotus carried a being, and though I did not know where I was being taken, I simply continued to chant Buddha's name. I trusted that everything I was encountering was there to help me. I rode the lotus, travelling along with the light. My name is Lin Min-san. I am one of the countless beings who have been reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss today. I have escaped the imprisonment of space. I have the awareness that I was once trapped, and I am deeply grateful for this experience. I am living proof of rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Gratitude to Practitioner Su

I also witnessed the countless manifestations of Practitioner Su arriving from all directions, finally merging into one. The sheer magnificence of this scene left me absolutely awestruck. When I saw the Buddha, I knelt in gratitude. I am even more grateful to Practitioner Su and the Bodhisattvas who worked together to help me escape that space. I am also thankful for this opportunity to share my story among the multitude of beings. I will continue to chant Namo Amituofo. Namo Amituofo."
