This account details the deliverance of Madam Chen Huang-chang, the aunt of Practitioner Su. After passing away, she found herself trapped by her own intense attachments, but through the compassionate guidance and rescue provided at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, she was liberated and successfully reborn into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This testimony was recorded on April 17, 2020.

Madam Chen Huang-chang speaks:

"Chang! Chang! Chang!" As I look back, seeing the golden light before me, it feels as though I have returned to the happy days of my youth. Even though life was arduous back then, my mother always taught us to be diligent and to endure hardship without complaint. Because of that, I was always content, and I was capable of handling any task set before me. Today, I am truly filled with . Every week, I have watched so many people depart for the Western Pure Land, and today, it is finally my turn! When my niece, Practitioner Su, reached out to take my hand, I smiled with such genuine happiness. I saw my older sister looking down from above, smiling at me as well. I arrived in the Western Pure Land so quickly, and the lotus flower beneath my feet was absolutely beautiful—so incredibly beautiful!"

A New Beginning in the Western Pure Land

"Upon arriving in the Western Pure Land, I found myself wearing new clothes—the most fashionable style from my era, truly elegant. My lips were still chanting 'Namo Amituofo' because Practitioner Su told me that without chanting the name of Namo Amituofo, one cannot enter the Western Pure Land. From the moment I made the decision to go to the West, I kept the Buddha's name in my heart constantly. I did not dare to let the chanting stop for even a single moment. I have finally arrived, and I am so deeply grateful!"

The Lesson of the Black Spider

"Before Practitioner Su rescued me, I never imagined that I would end up as a black spider. Even I was terrified when I realised what I had become. Coming here to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, I understand now that this was all my own fault. I was far too attached to my family. I insisted on controlling every single aspect of our household, to the point where my own children began to resent me, yet I continued to interfere! I was always trying to protect them, and I only felt at ease when I had them in my sight. Even when I grew old and my body became frail, I still refused to let go of that control. That is why, after I passed away, I transformed into a spider with such an intense desire to control—crawling around, forever trying to guard my home. It was terrifying! Absolutely terrifying!"

Gratitude for a Noble Path

"The days I spent at the temple of Practitioner Su were truly joyful. Practitioner Su has always been a person of great boldness and strength. Since she was a child, she was never one to haggle over small matters, and she was always incredibly filial. I always had high hopes for her, and look at her now—her achievements are truly extraordinary! At the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, I often see so many people who are deeply grateful to her and who have received her help. I know that her future accomplishments will be even more magnificent. I am so thankful to Practitioner Su for helping her aunt. Thank you, thank you!"
