She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition from the cycle of rebirth to the Western Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on July 31, 2021.

Hu Yun speaks:

"My dear grandson, it is your grandmother. Today is a day of immense for me, because I am finally going to see the Buddha! I am dressed in my favourite clothes, and I can see a light ahead—it is so incredibly bright. Suddenly, I see the Buddha right before my eyes! I owe all of this to your wife, who helped me receive Chao Du. Who would have thought that after I passed away, I would be reborn as a turkey? I know it is hard for you to believe, but it is true. I am so fortunate that I was saved; otherwise, what would have become of me?"

The from Confusion

"When I was first rescued, my mind was not yet clear. I did not know where I was, but I could feel that I was no longer making those turkey sounds. Each day here, my heart has become more and more at peace. My past life was filled with hardship, and I used to dwell on those memories constantly. But now, I realise that I must look forward. During this time, I have listened to many sutras. Although I do not understand everything, I know that everyone here is doing good deeds. I see so many people who are deeply grateful to Practitioner Su, as we have all been saved by her from so many different places."

A Mother's Heart and the Path to Bliss

"At first, I did not want to leave, because my heart was still tethered to my children and grandchildren. I wanted to make sure that all of you were living well. It was only after seeing so many others decide to go to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss that I finally made up my mind to go as well.

The moment I arrived in the Western Land, I saw golden light shimmering everywhere. It was so beautiful, adorned with countless jewels. I was even given a more magnificent set of clothes to wear. It is so comfortable here—far better than any place I have ever lived. The Buddha’s face is filled with such profound . This place is truly wonderful, truly wonderful. I never knew such a beautiful place existed. Now, I am settling into my new life here. Having arrived in the Western Land, your grandmother is truly joyful."

A Final Plea for the Family

"My dear granddaughter-in-law, I am so grateful to you. It is because of you that I no longer have to suffer. Everything being done here is to help others, and I know that you truly wish to follow the Buddha. You must persevere. I am so happy that you are teaching my great-grandchild to learn the . Namo Amituofo, Namo Amituofo—chanting the Buddha's name is truly the most important thing.

I hope that my grandson will also learn the Dharma and not just spend his life busy with the mundane struggles of living. You must understand that your wife has truly helped your grandmother; she is so filial. You should support her in her work, and as a couple, you must be of one heart. I hope that we can all be reunited in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I will be here, chanting Namo Amituofo for all of you."

Grandmother, Hu Yun.
