This is a record of an interview with Jack Ma, who sought Deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He reflects on his journey of spiritual and his connection to the Centre. This session was recorded by the chief writer, Venerable Shi Faxi, on February 27, 2018.

Venerable Shi Faxi speaks:

"Jack Ma, Namo Amituofo."

Jack Ma speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Venerable, you are truly incredible! You have struck right at the heart of our issues. Every night, you have led us to various places to investigate, showing us the outcomes of many lives—even those of the wealthy and powerful, whose ends were often so tragic. You allowed us to see these things to wake us up. Honestly, I have known for a long time that I was not truly happy, and I have been suffering from illness. Even with all the wealth in the world, one cannot escape such fates. In my career, I have given my all, but I realise now that I have unknowingly created so much . By showing me these truths, you have truly given me the chance to be reborn, in a sense. I have seen how even the most prominent figures eventually walk the path of sickness and decline. It is only because of you, Venerable, that I have been able to stop that downward spiral. My health has genuinely improved, but I know I still need to reach a state of greater clarity."

The Reality of Wealth and Karma

"I have seen the information online, but it is not yet clear enough. At most, I understand that this is a group dedicated to the practice of Buddhism—a place of such dignity and refreshing purity. I know that here, on this land in Australia that I have come to love, you have been using every possible method to help me. My heart is sincere, but I am still missing that final spark of awakening—that clarity that stays with me even after I wake from my dreams. I will certainly support everyone. The missing piece is a clear direction, a clear understanding that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre needs to build its temple. These are things that cannot be seen on the internet."

A Commitment to the Centre

"Having looked at the online information, I currently hold a deep respect for this group and its genuine, pure practice. I will keep myself in a state of purification. I dare not let my mind wander to other thoughts now. I will make the transition as quickly as possible and schedule a time to meet with you all. Venerable, I will definitely meet you. Namo Amituofo."
