Teachings from Namo Amituofo, recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe.

August 22, 2021.

Namo Amituofo's discourse:

The Illusion of Duality

Namo Amituofo teaches us to embrace everything that comes our way. Whether a situation appears good or bad, it is all ultimately good. Why is this so? Because both the good and the bad are merely illusions. They are fleeting phenomena that arise and pass away like clouds in the sky. Why then should we waste our precious energy on calculation, discriminations, or judging things as superior or inferior?

Cultivating True Tolerance

Every person has their own shortcomings and imperfections. To truly practise the path, you must learn to accept these flaws. Open your heart wide and embrace the mistakes and faults of others. When you can do this without allowing anger to arise in your heart, you have attained the virtue of true tolerance. This is the mark of a noble practitioner who understands the nature of the world.

The Greatness of an Open Heart

When you are able to open your heart, you will naturally find it easier to praise the virtues of others and acknowledge the good deeds they have performed. This is the true expression of and a vast mind-capacity. You may think you are doing this for others, but in reality, the greatest beneficiary of this practice is yourself. By letting go of your own attachments, you liberate your own spirit and find peace.

Walking the Path

My dear disciples, you must hold this heart within you and carry it into your daily actions. Let your life be a reflection of this boundless, open, and compassionate nature. By doing so, you walk the right path toward the of Ultimate Bliss, leaving suffering behind to find true happiness.
