Sent to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss — Xiao Manhong (Husband of Li Leyu)

Lay Practitioner Xiao Manhong:

Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su. This is the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, my new home. I have only been here for a short while, and I have almost adapted. My heart is filled with nothing but gratitude and Dharma joy. I never imagined that after being away from the human world for so long, I would still be able to come to such a wonderful place; all of this was beyond my expectations.

I knelt before the Buddha to express the joy in my heart. I know that the Buddha’s teachings are excellent. When I was in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I had already begun to encounter many of the Buddha’s teachings that I had never heard before. Especially after hearing Practitioner Su’s lectures, my heart gradually opened, and I was able to let go of many things from the past.

It has been nearly twenty years since I left the human world. I never expected to leave so early, arriving in a rush and departing in a rush. Life is so short, passing by in an instant, and I spent my whole life without leaving any instructions for anyone, just passing through life without any real achievements. I did think that way at the time, but now that I have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, my heart is clear and bright, and I have found my home. That feeling is truly wonderful.

When I was in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I was already very diligent in chanting Buddha's name and performing prostrations, which allowed me to receive much purification. After arriving in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss for just half a day, my spirit has improved significantly. Here, when the Buddha-light shines upon me, the Buddha and I do not need any words; I know the message the Buddha transmits to me, and I can feel the Buddha’s compassion even more deeply. All of this is so natural.

Here, I sincerely thank the Buddha for His compassion, and I am also grateful to my wife in the human world for registering me for Chao Du. She has struggled in the human world for so many years and has experienced many things. Now that she can learn the Buddha’s teachings, that is truly a profound Buddhist affinity. I sincerely wish that she can achieve success on the Buddha’s path soon, let go of everything, truly follow the Buddha, and return to this old home, the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

I can see that she was also a Westerner in the past, because here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I can see everything very clearly, including myself. Now that I have returned to my old home, my true spiritual home, I feel very calm and joyful. I also advise everyone in the human world to learn about this wonderful place as early as possible and stop wandering.

There is really nothing in the human world worth paying such a painful price for, for the sake of this body and various sensations. Everyone in the world is like this, thinking that this body is themselves, thinking that all of this is real, yet they do not know that at the moment of death, there is truly nothing left. I also left the human world with that state of mind before I died; it can be said that it was very painful because I was still very young and did not want to leave the human world, yet I was forced to depart. When this body no longer has any function, one really has to leave and cannot do anything.

Now that my spirit has connected with the people at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and I can speak with everyone, this is also a very wonderful thing. I hope that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre can lead more beings to awaken and learn the Buddha’s teachings, and carry forward the true Buddha’s teachings. This is my wish now in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Because of the Buddha’s compassion, there is such a Buddha-land, and there is the opportunity for us to be saved. My heart is filled with nothing but gratitude and joy for the Buddha.
