Ma Yun, a prominent figure, sought deliverance through the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. This interview, recorded on August 24, 2018, by the chief writer Haipin, captures his reflections on the mission of the temple and his desire to contribute to the Village project.
Ma Yun speaks:
"Every day, the deliverance ceremonies take place, and I find myself drawn to participate in this noble rank of saviours. This is a process of sharing the mission of saving the world, and through it, I am finding my true self once again."
"A brilliant, golden banner flutters high above the glazed tiles of the temple roof. On it, the words 'Headquarters of the Pure Land School' are written with absolute clarity. Every morning, once the deliverance ceremony concludes, the entire group gathers in front of the main hall of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to perform a grand dedication of merit. The sheer scale of the event and the overwhelming power of the collective chanting always leave me deeply moved. Seeing so many Bodhisattvas working tirelessly to protect and support this temple, I cannot help but feel a sense of humility; I have yet to play a role that is truly beneficial to this great cause."
"The current launch of the Amitabha Village project feels like an excellent topic and a golden opportunity. I know that in today's world, there is no one else who dares to guarantee the direct delivery of beings to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—only here, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, is such a thing possible. I have always possessed a sharp mind and a capacity for meticulous, strategic thinking. I can clearly see how this project could be executed and developed; the only thing missing is for my own three souls to truly arrive at this temple and put these plans into action."
"I have always loved challenging myself with new ventures. To witness the successful development of a new enterprise is what provides me with the greatest sense of achievement. I am eager to apply this same spirit of innovation and dedication to the work being done here, ensuring that the light of the Pure Land reaches as many beings as possible."
