Taking Action for the Pure Land

Ma Yun, a prominent figure, sought deliverance through the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. This interview, recorded on August 24, 2018, by the chief writer Haipin, captures his reflections on the mission of the temple and his desire to contribute to the Amitabha Village project.

Ma Yun speaks:

"Every day, the Dharma Body deliverance ceremonies take place, and I find myself drawn to participate in this noble rank of saviours. This is a process of sharing the mission of saving the world, and through it, I am finding my true self once again."

A Grand Vision of Deliverance

"A brilliant, golden banner flutters high above the glazed tiles of the temple roof. On it, the words 'Headquarters of the Pure Land School' are written with absolute clarity. Every morning, once the deliverance ceremony concludes, the entire group gathers in front of the main hall of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to perform a grand dedication of merit. The sheer scale of the event and the overwhelming power of the collective chanting always leave me deeply moved. Seeing so many Bodhisattvas working tirelessly to protect and support this temple, I cannot help but feel a sense of humility; I have yet to play a role that is truly beneficial to this great cause."

The Opportunity of the Amitabha Village
