The Arrival of Spirit Beings at the Mingde Society

The Call to the Infinite

On the sixth of May, 2018, the drums of the Dharma resonated, their sound piercing through the heavens and echoing across the vast expanse of the universe. As the space between worlds opened, an infinite number of beings were beckoned forth. All those who had been invited—the various ghost deities and spirits from every corner of the ten directions—arrived together in perfect unison.

Within the Mingde Society, the atmosphere was charged with the sacred energy of the Dharma. These beings gathered to hear the sutras and to join in the chanting of the Buddha's name. Each spirit, previously bound to their own unique form or dwelling, found themselves drawn to this singular, auspicious location. It was a moment where the boundaries of space and time seemed to dissolve, allowing for a profound connection between the seen and the unseen.

Gathering at the Mingde Society

The disciples of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, acting in accordance with the clear and compassionate instructions of Namo Amituofo, extended the invitation to these beings. They understood that the purpose of this gathering was to guide these spirits toward the ultimate truth. Together, they chanted the name of Namo Amituofo, focusing their hearts and minds on the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This realm, far surpassing any other, became the singular destination for all who were present.

The spirits, like children returning home, cried out in one voice, calling upon the name of Namo Amituofo, their true and original master. Their desire was clear: they sought not only to be reborn in the Western Pure Land but also to hear the profound teachings of the Dharma. They entered into this space repeatedly, their numbers growing beyond measure, as they sought to purify their spirits and find liberation from their long-standing suffering.

The Transformation of Spirit Beings

As they stood in the presence of the Buddha, they truly witnessed the radiant light of Namo Amituofo. They beheld the compassionate figures of Avalokiteshvara and Mahasthamaprapta, alongside the vast assembly of the Pure Land. In this magnificent encounter, these beings underwent a total transformation. They cast aside their original, often burdened forms and were adorned in the pure, white robes of the Dharma.

This transformation was both magnificent and dignified. It marked the beginning of a new journey, where all were saved and brought back to the path of truth. The merit accumulated within the Mingde Society during this event was truly immeasurable. They were no longer bound by the dust of their past lives; from this day forward, they would wear the clean garments of the practitioner, chanting the name of Namo Amituofo and walking the path toward Buddhahood.

Walking the Path to the Western Pure Land

All the ghost deities and spirits who had gathered were now invited to follow the path to the West. They would no longer be trapped in the cycle of wandering as lost spirits. With hearts opened wide and filled with great resolve, they vowed to ride the sacred path to the Western Pure Land. This great dignity, this profound opportunity for liberation, is now a path shared by all under the heavens. We are all walking this same road, guided by the light of Namo Amituofo, toward the ultimate happiness that awaits us all.
