"A brilliant, golden banner flutters high above the glazed tiles of the temple roof. Upon it, the words 'Headquarters of the Pure Land School' are written with absolute clarity. Every morning, once the Chao Du ceremony concludes, the entire assembly gathers before the main hall of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to perform a grand dedication of merit. The sheer scale and the overwhelming power of this scene never fail to move me deeply. Seeing so many Bodhisattvas working tirelessly to protect and support this temple, I feel a sense of inadequacy—I yearn to play a role that is truly beneficial and substantial."
