The Confession of Mo Ru-kai, an Ancient Demon

This is a record of an interview with Mo Ru-kai, an ancient demon who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. This account reflects upon his existence spanning five billion-billion-trillion years. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fa, on March 23, 2026.

Mo Ru-kai speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Mo Ru-kai. The Western Dharma-Nature Land at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is unlike any space I have ever inhabited in my long, long existence. It is so incredibly bright, so pure, and 24/7, it is bathed in the light of the Buddha. I can see Namo Amituofo smiling at me with such immense compassion. I sit here upon my lotus seat, listening to the sutras and hearing the Dharma every single day with a heart full of reverence.

My demon children and grandchildren are here with me, too. We have all been saved by Practitioner Su and brought to this Western Dharma-Nature Land. We are all so profoundly grateful for this chance to start over, to open our ears wide and truly listen to what Practitioner Su is teaching in the sutras. Who would have thought that I, Mo Ru-kai, who has roamed the demon realms for so long, would end up joining the salvation team of Namo Amituofo? The compassionate vows of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su to save the demon crowds are truly deep and profound. They really want us to be saved! This is the genuine feeling and realisation within my heart."

The Technological Web of Control

"Currently, in China, the Buddha’s teachings are completely blocked. Yet, in the fields of technology and other sectors, the Chinese people are truly formidable. In their competition with other nations, one can see they possess immense capability. This is especially true for China's software engineers; their abilities are extraordinary. You can see this clearly in the development trends of artificial intelligence. My lineage of demon kings, along with my demon children and grandchildren, have been exerting our influence within these very developments.

Over the past five thousand years, the people on this land of China have transformed from a state of simplicity to one of great complexity. The change is undeniable. Especially in the last century or two, China has suffered from too many foreign invasions and strikes. Amidst the chaos of war, the Chinese people and their culture have faced many shocks. More severely, during the Cultural Revolution, many foundations of traditional ethics and morality were wiped away. This remains a deep pain in the hearts of the Chinese people. But for the new generation of Chinese children, these things have already been forgotten."

The Strategy of the Demon Realm

"For us in the demon crowds, the difference is massive. In the past, it was not so easy to control children who had received an education in ethics and morality from a young age. We always had to look for opportunities and exert a little bit of effort. Of course, we would eventually achieve our goals, as humans and our demon crowds are so naturally in sync—it is as if humans were born to become our puppets.

But now? There is no need to even speak of it. Children today do not understand what it means to be filial to their parents or to respect their teachers. They do not understand the order of seniority or the importance of moral foundations. From a young age, these children are already puppets of our demon crowds. Controlling them is as easy as drinking water. What do I mean by 'as easy as drinking water'? I mean it happens naturally. Simply put, if they were not controlled by us, it would defy the laws of nature. It is a natural law. Every one of their erroneous thoughts is a call to us; the very scent they emit is a clear signal for us to take control of them. Naturally, we then use their bodies. So, one could say that there is not a single child in China today who is not under the control of the demon crowds. This has a great deal to do with their education."

A History of Caution

"Looking back at my five thousand years of experience in China, I can say with full responsibility: the Buddha’s teachings are completely blocked in China today, and the True Teachings have been severed. In other words, under the current official conditions, there is no true Buddha’s teaching in China. Under these circumstances, it is far too easy for my demon kings, children, and grandchildren to control the Chinese people. Basically, for the last hundred years, I have not heard of any difficulties; no demon king or subordinate has reported any obstacles that required me to step in personally.

When I first arrived in China, things were not so easy. You must understand that five thousand years ago, there were sages present in China. Ha! That was certainly not an era where we demon crowds could do whatever we wanted. Not to mention that throughout the subsequent dynasties, sages appeared on this land one after another. There were even Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who manifested in human form to save the world. Wow! In those times, I, Mo Ru-kai, would never dare to go head-to-head with them. I would always tell my demon children and grandchildren: 'Everyone, hurry up! Let us go back into the demon palace to rest and keep a low profile. We will come out again once these sages have passed away.'

Is that not a better way? After all, why should we go head-to-head with others? You pick the soft persimmons to eat—this is the high Wisdom of our demon crowds! This has also been the highest principle of my conduct throughout my five billion-billion-trillion years in the demon realm: if you can do it, do it; if you cannot, we can rest. After all, our lives as demon crowds can last for a very long time, right?"

The Allure of Modern Technology

"In short, as long as these sages are present, everyone must be careful. Of course, even so, there have been too many opportunities for us to strike over these five thousand years. This land of China was truly worth my long journey from the Dharma Realm. My demon kings, children, and grandchildren came here because we saw a great opportunity for development. The facts have proven that this did not disappoint our expectations.

The people on this land of China have great blessings; one could say that talented and extraordinary people appear continuously. For us demon crowds, this is a source of true joy. We do not fear that you are capable; we only fear that you have no ability. The more capable you are, the better your talent, the more we demon crowds love to control such people.

As long as there is a slight deviation in their mental note, I can immediately enter and seize their heart, and from then on, they become our puppets. If such a person holds great power or influence, or plays a vital role in an important position, the influence I can exert becomes even more widespread. Wow, that is fun! Over these five thousand years, my demon children and grandchildren have participated in countless events. One could say that not even the Chinese people understand China better than we do.

But let us return to the main point. In recent decades, the business territory of Mo Ru-kai has shifted to controlling China's entire technology industry. Especially the most advanced, trend-setting technology industries—those are absolutely under the control of my lineage of demon kings and their descendants. After all, this sector is simply too large and too important. Why is it important? It is not because it causes good effects for the human world, but because the karma created is simply too massive.

For us demon crowds, this is great news! With the joint efforts of technology demons worldwide, and with the invention of mobile phones and computers, and the launch of artificial intelligence, the stickiness of technology to human life has reached a new level. This makes all of us demon crowds clap and cheer! In this way, people are even less able to escape from the palms of our hands.

It can be said that as long as a modern person owns a mobile phone or a computer, it is impossible for them not to have the traces of us 'technology demons' upon them. Not to mention that these latest technologies carry such strong demon nature; once used, it gives them too many opportunities to be possessed by our demon crowds. So, tell me, is there anyone today who does not use a mobile phone or a computer? You could say everyone has one. Therefore, using technology to control humanity is a core concept for our demon crowds. Mo Ru-kai has long known this fact, so I have always paid close attention to the technology industry. Long before it took off, I had already made my layout, letting a large number of my demon kings and their descendants control the key influential people involved."

A Golden Light of Deliverance

"My demon palaces are just like my business—because they are large, they are numerous. In China's Shaanxi, Guangdong, and Zhejiang provinces, there is a demon palace in each, all established in the local technological hubs. At the same time, my demon children and grandchildren are densely and extensively controlling people in these three regions.

Then, one day, the sky shone with brilliant golden light. Practitioner Su brought the Twelve Lights of Namo Amituofo to Shaanxi, Guangdong, and Zhejiang provinces. The golden light quickly swept over all my demon palaces, easily reducing them to nothing. At that moment, I felt such a powerful force, and within that golden light, I was sent into the Western Dharma-Nature Land.

Mo Ru-kai truly laments that life in the human world is not fun. Just as Practitioner Su says, humans really should not come here, because they are truly controlled too severely. One could say that from the moment they wake up in the morning until they sleep at night, there is no time when they are not being controlled. And now that everyone is so accustomed to using computers, the internet, and mobile phones, the strength of the demon crowds' control has become even more powerful. Although they are all called puppets of the demon crowds, the degree to which people are controlled now is far higher than before. This only happens when they are possessed by a certain number of demon crowds.

Here in the Dharma-Nature Land, I become more compassionate day by day. Seeing the images of the Chinese people being controlled like this, my heart feels so sorrowful. I know that the sins I created in China are too great. Now, only by allowing the Buddhist education of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to unfold in China, and allowing more people to hear the true Great Dharma, is it possible for things to improve from the root.

I want to advise all the demon crowds in China: although you feel it is natural to create karma in the demon realm, the laws of karma and cause and effect are being recorded bit by bit. When the time comes, you will truly be unable to repay it. Now, Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have come to the world to save sentient beings. Everyone should take this opportunity to seek refuge; this is a broad and smooth path.

I, Mo Ru-kai, speak to you as a demon of the Dharma Realm with a history of five billion-billion-trillion years: here, we will receive excellent treatment, and we truly live very happily. Everyone should know that it is not without reason that demon crowds are actively coming to seek refuge with Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. It is because the Buddha truly treats us with compassion and hopes that we can be saved. Since coming here, I have never been so happy, and I even have the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Everyone must seize this opportunity and come to seek refuge quickly; otherwise, there will truly be no such opportunity in the future.

Now, I, Mo Ru-kai, and the other spirits in the Dharma-Nature Land follow the daily schedule of the temple every morning, prostrating to the Buddha and performing the morning service together. We are all very diligent, prostrating in perfect unison, and we cherish every bit of the opportunity for purification.

I am grateful to be able to start over in this pure and bright land. Gratitude to Namo Amituofo, gratitude to Practitioner Su.
