The Demon Palace Vanishes in Twelve Lights
An Interview with the Ancient Demon Jiang
A Record from the Western Land of Dharma Nature
This is a record of an interview with the ancient demon Jiang, who sought spiritual deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Nature. Ancient Demon Jiang speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Jiang, and I am very pleased to be here to accept this interview at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. To be able to enter this Western Land of Dharma Nature is something I never could have anticipated.
In truth, I spent 7,562 trillion years in the Heaven Beyond Heaven. Why have I come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre now? There is a vast distance between these two places—one is on Earth, and the other is in the Heaven Beyond Heaven, far outside the Earth. There is no need to investigate the exact location of that realm. The Dharma Realm is infinite, and the Heaven Beyond Heaven is no exception.
The Subtle Nature of the Dharma
I have come to understand that the Buddha's teachings are incredibly subtle and do not rely on the literal meaning of words. If one dwells too much on the meaning of words, it only serves to tie one's mind in knots, for the human mind is indeed extremely intricate.
To become a Buddha, one must first have the opportunity to obtain a human body. This is the fastest path to Buddhahood. I, Jiang, know this well, as I have many old demons, demon kings, and demon children and grandchildren on Earth. Regarding the distance between Earth, the Heaven Beyond Heaven, the universe, the Milky Way, demonic beings, other realms, and the routes Practitioner Su uses to deliver demonic beings—honestly, the Heaven Beyond Heaven is not exactly close.
A Seven-Thousand-Year Sojourn
This time, I entered samadhi for approximately 300 trillion years. When I finally emerged and awoke, I went to Earth to see how the old demons and their descendants in China were faring. Upon entering this precious land of Earth, I discovered that the environment was of high quality. Although human hearts are fickle, other planets are actually much the same.
Therefore, about seven thousand years ago, I settled into the space within the land of China. I say space, but it is not really a space in the physical sense; we can see human life and daily activities very clearly. I began to build my demon palace at that time. It was incredibly beautiful—a purple demon palace. I have always believed that the colour purple carries spiritual energy and can increase one's own power, so I built the palace in purple, and many things inside reflected that same hue. It was a truly magnificent structure.
The Influence of Spirits on Human Affairs
I lived inside, and many other old demons and their descendants lived with me. Sometimes we would emerge, and other times we would remain hidden within. When we discovered that the situation outside was turbulent, we assumed there were other demonic beings stirring up trouble, so we did not feel the need to intervene. But when we encountered times of peace and stability, we would occasionally come out to stir things up, to see if the rulers and monarchs had enough meditative concentration to remain undisturbed by demonic interference.
The situations were varied. Some monarchs were thrown into disarray by demonic interference, leading even to the fall of dynasties. Others possessed true virtue, had strong meditative concentration, and could use stillness to overcome movement; they possessed enough inner strength to endure and survive the challenges posed by demonic attacks.
Practitioner Su saw that this precious land of China held too many spirits that had never been saved, accumulating over five thousand years. These spirits are in great pain, and because the spirits feel such suffering, humans naturally feel that pain as well.
The Exchange Between Heart and Spirit
In fact, there is a very subtle relationship of spiritual energy between spirits and humans. If a spirit has a karmic affinity with you and is living a good life, your magnetic field naturally produces a sense of satisfaction and . If this spirit has a deep connection with you and is living a miserable life, wailing or suffering in the hells, your heart will also feel an inexplicable sorrow, or you may find yourself weeping without knowing why, unable to be happy. This is what we call the exchange of spiritual energy between the heart and the spirit.
Therefore, when the space in China is filled with lonely wandering spirits who cannot be saved, or the spirits of soldiers who died on the battlefield, or women filled with resentment, then humans—especially being the most spiritual of all beings—will be affected by the energy of these ghosts. Their bodies are extremely sensitive, and they will inevitably encounter obstacles, leading to everything going wrong in their lives.
When a person is in a state where everything is going wrong and their mental strength is depleted, it is the perfect time for demonic beings to attach themselves. Especially when a person is lost, unable to make decisions, and overwhelmed by the chaos of life, they become the target that demonic beings love to seek out. As for the impact, it depends on what kind of demonic being enters . If it is a stable demonic being, the person may suddenly seem like a different person, changing from restless to stable.
The Mechanics of Possession
Generally speaking, when demonic beings act, they do not appear alone. Usually, a demon king acts as a representative, bringing his demon children and grandchildren along. These beings enter the human body and interfere with the person's thoughts, ideas, emotions, and mental state. The number of attachments usually comes in groups, depending on how much demonic power is needed to completely control and influence the person. Some demon kings will allocate just the right amount of descendants, while others will send in more.
Practitioner Su has recently entered the land of China on a large scale, beginning to save the spirits of China that have never been saved in five thousand years. At the same time, Practitioner Su has made a great vow to save demonic beings and has brought the into China, covering the sky above. Namo Amituofo has also come to China to shine brightly, reflecting and interacting with Practitioner Su. This is what is meant by the Divine Land shining with light. The greatest benefit of this light is that the spirits and ghosts who have not been saved for five thousand years are sent to the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre after being touched by the light.
The demonic beings in China, under the blessing of Namo Amituofo and the manifestation of Practitioner Su's vow, have undergone such a great transformation and a weakening of their demonic power. This is something the demonic beings never expected. As the number of ghosts and demonic beings decreased, the air in China suddenly became much fresher.
The Illusion of the Demon Palace
Is this not the purification of the air? But in truth, the hearts of the demonic beings began to grieve, wondering what was happening. The sudden change was too great. They had never encountered such a thing. What kind of power could cause demonic beings to feel such terror on such a massive scale? And my demon palace—my beloved purple palace, which I had built so solidly over six thousand years and believed to be indestructible—vanished before my eyes under the illumination of the light. What was happening? I thought I was having a nightmare. If it had been destroyed, there should at least have been some tiles falling to the ground! But I saw nothing.
It was not until I entered the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and heard Practitioner Su giving Dharma talks that I understood: the demon palace was illusory, so when the Twelve Lights shone upon it, it vanished into nothingness. The concept of illusion is understandable, even though I, Jiang, built every brick and tile myself. Although it was not like the physical matter that exists in the human world—where a brick or tile has a real, tangible existence—in the spirit realm, you speak of bricks and tiles, but where are they? They cannot be seen or touched, yet they truly exist. This is the profundity of the Buddha's teachings; only those who enter into it understand these deep principles.
Later, I thought, it is gone now, so why bother investigating the reason?
A Scientific Spiritual Order
At that moment, I discovered that the demon palace had been dissolved, and my body was illuminated by the light. Very quickly, almost simultaneously, I was sent here to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. Afterward, I discovered that many demonic beings had arrived at the same time as I did, because the demon palace was quite large, and the demon kings and their descendants lived on different floors and in different spaces. Although the palace was reduced to nothing, the demon kings and their descendants inside were unharmed and were all sent to different spaces within the Western Land of Dharma Nature, because the spiritual quality of each demonic being is different. This is quite scientific; different spaces correspond to different spiritual qualities. If your spiritual quality is not high enough, you cannot go to a higher-level space. Of course, if your spirituality transcends the lower spaces, you will naturally rise. Where you stop is the level you belong to. This is the state of the Heavenly Way and the spirit realm; it is very scientific and does not require anyone to categorize it—it happens naturally. This is the standard of the universe, the Truth, and the righteous path, which is what Practitioner Su often tells us.
Practitioner Su has the powerful force of Namo Amituofo behind him, supporting him in making great vows, doing great things, and exerting great power. Where the strength is insufficient, Namo Amituofo is there to support him. That is why Practitioner Su is always so energetic and bold, moving straight ahead. Because the energy of Namo Amituofo is inexhaustible, and spiritual power can be continuously infused, it is no wonder that Practitioner Su's spirit is always so vibrant.
Furthermore, because of their panic over the unknown, the demonic beings gathered their strength to attack Practitioner Su with magic, but this only exposed the mindset of the demonic beings and their inability to resist. Under the illumination of the Buddha-light and golden light, the demonic beings were finally subdued and taken away by the Buddha-light. This is an indisputable fact.
The of the Buddha
The one on the other side is Namo Amituofo, so by following Practitioner Su and following the Buddha, there is no need to worry. The Buddha is of great compassion; he wants to save the beings in the hells, and he wants to save the demonic beings, not to mention the ordinary, kind-hearted civilians—he will save them even more. That is just how the Buddha is.
So I know the saying, To encounter the Buddha is a matter difficult to encounter in millions of years. This is something I learned after entering the Western Land of Dharma Nature. Looking back now, this is truly the truth. The saying the Buddha's teachings do not contain falsehoods is something I have found to be true in the recent series of events. The greatness and wonder of the Buddha's teachings are truly hard to believe if one has not experienced them personally, but after experiencing them, one is deeply moved. The gap between this and magic is simply too vast.
Am I undermining the demonic beings by cheering for the Buddha's teachings? No, because one must face the problem to understand why the Twelve Lights of Namo Amituofo have the ability to subdue such senior old demons, and even demons more senior than myself.
As far as I know, during the of the past few days, many demonic beings have been sent into the Western Land of Dharma Nature by Practitioner Su using the Twelve Lights of Namo Amituofo. Some have already accepted interviews, and some may have the opportunity later. Regardless, this is a very important turning point in the lives of the demonic beings—from the Demon Realm to the Buddha's path. What does this mean? It means that even demons may have the opportunity to become Buddhas! This is something I have never heard of before.
A Precious Opportunity
I have encountered many things at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre that I have never encountered before, which can be considered a form of growth for demonic beings—forced growth, but growth nonetheless. Practitioner Su says that the human body is extremely precious. Although I do not have a body now, I am fortunate to be at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. This is not a place that just anyone can enter whenever they wish.
If one looks at it from another level, it means one must chant Namo Amituofo diligently. In addition to the conditions required for , chanting Namo Amituofo is also a very important part of Pure Land practice.
The reason Practitioner Su's spiritual deliverance is so effective is that wherever his countless manifestations and the Twelve Lights of Namo Amituofo reach, they can subdue so many demonic beings and spirit realm beings. He is constantly performing deliverance, yet beings keep emerging. This shows that for five thousand years, no one has really been saving ghosts. It is not that the practitioners of the past were not compassionate, but that the scope of their deliverance was limited.
Jiang has spent a very long time in the Heaven Beyond Heaven, and I have indeed seen demonic beings manipulate the great changes in modern Chinese history. Otherwise, with the vast classics and ethics passed down by our ancestors through their profound virtue, how could they have been so destroyed in just a few short years, and how could they have influenced human hearts to such a great extent? China is a powerful nation in terms of economy and military, and although its culture has suffered great destruction, it still possesses a deep cultural foundation.
Namo Amituofo! If there is any way I can be of use, please, Buddha, make good use of me! I am willing to join the salvation team, and I am also willing to help Namo Amituofo come to the forefront. Although I am not in a physical body and am only a spirit, it is a great pity that I cannot do things for the Buddha in the human world, and instead, the Buddha has to take care of us. Therefore, I also sincerely hope that the fourfold assembly of disciples will strive to succeed! Strive for Namo Amituofo and for Practitioner Su! The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a precious land for awakening and a holy site where one can truly be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
