The Demon with the Clairvoyant Eye: An Interview with Mo Jin
An Interview with the Primordial Demon Mo Jin
Recorded at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre on April 23, 2025
This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Mo Jin, a primordial demon who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Queensland, Australia. Having existed for approximately 220 trillion years, he now resides in the Western Land of Nature. This interview was recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on April 23, 2025.
Mo Jin speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Mo Jin. I am the thirteenth demon to be interviewed. We can see all the materials you currently hold in your hands; we possess the 'clairvoyant eye.' Some of your documents are stacked layer upon layer in books, yet we do not need to flip through them to see what is inside. This is the benefit of the clairvoyant eye, and it is my specialty.
I possess a pair of eyes that can see through the ground, look up into the high heavens, or peer across vast distances. What is the benefit of this? If there are any enemies nearby intending to attack, I can read their minds before they even approach, allowing me to quickly take protective measures, retreat, or launch a counterattack. To have lived for 220 trillion years, there must be certain conditions for survival. This is my method of self-preservation.
The Nature of Demons and the of Buddha
I do not attack others lightly, especially those who show me goodwill; I will hold back. But for those who attack me, I will counterattack without reservation. This is the 'demon nature'—-protection of a demon is extremely strong. It is truly different from Practitioner Su, who is a Buddha.
In the human world, people have physical bodies, and everyone protects them fiercely. From birth to old age, if there is even a small cut, bleeding, or swelling, people protect it desperately, even wanting to restore it to normal immediately. Yet, Practitioner Su's body has been attacked by us, the demon crowds, from head to toe. He says, 'Being attacked is worth it; it shows that I have value. Therefore, any demon who attacks me will be sent to the Western Land of Dharma Nature.' This is the compassion of Practitioner Su. Now, everyone knows that going to the Western Land of Dharma Nature has only benefits and no drawbacks; it is a place to become a Buddha. To allow us demons to surrender and become Buddhas, he sacrifices his own body for us to attack. Such a thing can only be done by a Buddha; it is absolutely not something a demon would do.
The Trap of Greed
Demons have a tactic called 'luring the enemy with profit.' We use benefits to make the other party think they are gaining something, so they proceed, only to be caught by us. Naturally, there is no benefit for them. Sometimes, we capture them to become 'demon children and grandchildren,' or they are reduced to slaves on a planet. The fate of a slave is very miserable. If they fall for the trap, we give them chores to do; we do not treat them well. What we call 'not treating them badly' is simply making them exhaust their own energy to work for our side.
The difference between a Buddha and a demon is truly vast. If one has not had this experience, they cannot comprehend it. I am now telling my demon children and grandchildren—my words now can be considered an educational opportunity. You may have never heard me, the old demon Mo Jin, speak so much before.
The Weight of a Name
Why am I called Mo Jin? Because I am very cautious and careful in my actions. I possess the ability to make accurate judgments, and because of this caution, my judgments are quite precise. I dare not say I am undefeated in every battle, but I am often a 'frequent winner.' Therefore, my name carries some weight in the Demon Realm. However, this also easily invites fatal disaster. Why? Because the Demon Realm is full of talent, and the Dharma Realm is vast. This means there are many demons with extremely strong demon natures who have methods to bring down those more excellent than themselves. This is called jealousy, or the desire to overthrow others to replace them and shine in the Demon Realm. This is the nature of demons.
I know how to be cautious. When I find myself at a disadvantage, I do not act arrogantly; I hide quickly. Once the tension passes, I can reappear. Why be in such a hurry to compete with others? The result of competing is either you die or I live. Both sides end up miserable, depending on who has the upper hand, or both sides suffer heavy losses. The loser might slink away, but if their demon nature is strong, they will remember this grudge. When you eventually fall into the position of the loser, you will be the one to suffer. Why bother? I am smart; I do not do such things. Therefore, I do not drive the other party to extinction; I always leave them a way out. If they know this, when I am at a disadvantage, they will also leave a way out for me. Actually, it is not for me, but for the many demon children and grandchildren under me. I will not sacrifice them to achieve my own status as a Demon King or old demon. We share the and endure the hardships together.
The Universal Principle of Mercy
Among demons, there are all kinds of personalities. Some demons truly sacrifice their children and grandchildren to achieve, glorify, and shine for themselves. The truly wise old demons, if they see that you will not live long, will leave you a way out. When the other party is defeated, one must remember that there will be a time when you are defeated too. Therefore, leaving a way out for others and not driving them to extinction is leaving a way out for yourself. Showing three parts of mercy is always beneficial to you. This is the law of , and it does not depart from the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. Many old demons believe this tactic is very useful, which is why they can live so long. Of course, there are also aspects of extreme evil, but that is only because one must use such methods to protect the majority of the demon crowds.
Just like this time, when Practitioner Su challenged the Demon Realm—it truly was a challenge. Before the demon crowds understood Practitioner Su's vows, they were truly terrified. They thought, 'How could such a solid demon palace, one that has stood for tens of millions of years, be razed to the ground? How could an old demon go and never return?' The demon children and grandchildren felt the same. In such situations, only the law of karma has the power to do this. Nowadays, this situation is happening universally in the Demon Realm, causing panic. That is why they cast spells to attack Practitioner Su's body. At the time, I was one of those demons.
The Life of an Old Demon
In my 220 trillion years of age, I, like most old demons, retreated behind the scenes or settled into a deep meditative state to hide. I think there are not many who have lived as long as I have and are still in the public eye; it is too dangerous. Unless your meditative concentration is extraordinary—meaning you can remain unmoved by anything you do, and your personality cannot be provoked—then you have the ability to live as long as you want while leading others. For such a big shot in the Demon Realm, we would show a great deal of respect, as I have never seen one myself.
Because everyone who becomes a demon has a unique personality, the stronger this personality is, the more obvious the personal style, and the easier it is to stand out. If you have no style or personal characteristics, you will disappear into the Demon Realm, and no one will care about you or notice you. Of course, this is also a way of survival, and it is possible that this lifestyle actually saved me, if one is a wise demon.
The Beauty of Hsiang Kuang
I just said that my eyes can see through space, penetrate deep into the ground, and look up at the heavenly realms. Actually, our sky is not as beautiful as the sky at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Where Namo Amituofo is residing, the sky changes in myriad ways from morning to night. Even we, looking from the Western Land of Dharma Nature, find it pleasing to the eye. Sometimes the sky is full of dark clouds—these are demons coming to seek refuge, or demons preparing to cast spells, still observing and deciding their next move. When the golden light of the sunset spreads over these demon crowds, or when Practitioner Su brings his countless manifestations to deliver them, the clouds instantly turn from gray to red, then to golden light. Then, the dark clouds vanish, and all the demon crowds are gathered into the Western Land of Dharma Nature.
It sounds like magic, does it not? Let me tell you, it really is magic. The beings who can see it here know that what I say is true. If you do not believe it, come and see for yourself. It is not just the golden sunset; in the early morning, I often see a very clean and bright sky with purple, blue, white-gold, and gold as the base colors emerging. I do not think you can see such a golden sky anywhere else but at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, because I do not think I have seen another place on Earth that can be called 'Namo Amituofo is residing here.' It is truly like that; that is the light emitted by the Buddha. Practitioner Su says the sky in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is also like this.
Although I have not been to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I do not think there is a second place like this. The Pure Land in the human world is the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. What I have said is what I have seen and heard in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. It is truly like this. Whether you believe it or not, it is truly inconceivable. A place with a Buddha is simply different.
Direction and Survival
Furthermore, regarding the situation on the planet where I reside: if we divide the Dharma Realm into the Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern, Upper, and Lower Demon Realms, I belong to the Eastern Demon Realm.
The Dharma Realm is actually quite vast and boundless, but we have an intuitive judgment of direction, just as the human world has compasses. We use the direction of the compass to distinguish east, west, south, and north. In fact, each direction has a different magnetic field. Each magnetic field is different; otherwise, how would a compass distinguish them? This is the principle.
It is the same in our Dharma Realm. We do not have compasses, but our sensitive awareness tells us. The more sensitive you are, the more accurate your sense of direction. This is also a benefit, because if your direction is accurate, you can conquer the places that should be conquered. As for places where the magnetic field is exceptionally good and strong, please do not touch them; that is called 'asking for trouble,' and you often end up hurting yourself.
If the magnetic field of a planet in that direction is weak, and your demon group's magnetic field is stronger, then you have a chance of winning. This way, you will not waste your effort; you can compete and extend your lifespan in the Demon Realm, and your demon children and grandchildren will not have to suffer such tragic sacrifices. Sometimes, wrong judgments lead to such results. Therefore, many Demon Kings, in order to protect their children and grandchildren, have to strengthen their own abilities. This is a win-win situation. My sense of direction is very sharp, and my eyes can penetrate many spaces. This is my specialty, which is why I have been able to survive in the Demon Realm for so long.
The Virtue of Life
However, I also have a benefit, although I have not said it out loud, it is truly how I act in my heart. If a planet is about to perish, about to lose its life—such planets are the most dangerous and are often the targets of attack. I look at the character of the people on that planet. If their foundation of goodness is still there, I will not attack. Even if I have the chance to win, sometimes I will even supply them with a little energy. Perhaps in my heart, I feel, 'Why drive them to extinction?' We are all beings with spirits, and if the spiritual quality is different, then do not infringe upon them.
I automatically lead my demon children and grandchildren away from that area. I could have attacked and absorbed their remaining energy to survive for a while, but I do not want to. Because this fulfills a saying used by people on Earth: 'Heaven has the virtue of loving life.' I have done many bad things, but this is something I can still bear, so I will not do more evil and will leave them a way out.
Right, leaving a way out for others is leaving a way out for yourself. You must remember this sentence. This is what I have often taught my demon grandchildren since I became a demon, and it is also my own insight. Perhaps because of this, the law of karma also left me a way out, allowing me to live to 220 trillion years without being absorbed. If a planet has done all kinds of evil and emits no magnetic field of goodness, then that is my target. That is just how it is; we also have to survive.
The Art of Transformation
Around 120 trillion years, I went into seclusion. Regarding what happened later, I can report one thing to everyone. What is special is the place where I went into seclusion. I have the art of transformation; I can use my thoughts to change into whatever I want. So, when I was a Demon King, I looked like a Demon King; when I was an old demon, I looked like an old demon. But when you do not want to be discovered, you can change into a form that no one notices, and you will not be found.
In the Demon Realm, darkness is something everyone has, just to varying degrees. Unless you are 'transparently black and bright,' you will not be discovered; otherwise, no one will bother you. So, I easily transformed into a small stone that was not too bright and not too clean. Stones are very similar to our personalities, so many demons like stones.
I used the appearance of the most ordinary stone for about 100 trillion years. I think so, adding and subtracting—for us old demons of tens of trillions of years, it makes no difference. But generally speaking, one trillion years is a very, very long time. To us, it passes in the blink of an eye. Otherwise, how could you spend 12 trillion years in a deep meditative state? If one who enters meditation truly has the heart to do so, and if they are not woken up, they can stay in meditation for a very long time.
The Power of Buddha-Name
Because I have many demon children and grandchildren, I always hope to pass on good experiences to them, teaching them the experiences of how to hurt the other party. Now that I am here in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, which is a Buddha-land, my heart has also turned—it has turned toward goodness. I want you all to receive benefits, so that your original nature of goodness can be revealed.
Practitioner Su is very compassionate, very compassionate to me. You often perform prostrations, chant the Buddha's name, and perform spiritual deliverance and visualization deliverance. Oh my, Practitioner Su is too amazing! We have also learned this visualization deliverance. You might not have learned it or be using it, but we have all learned it. This visualization deliverance—actually, every Buddha-name chanted has the power of merit. It is truly remarkable. You can use this method to exercise, keep your body healthy, and at the same time, accumulate merit and form good affinities with all beings. It is just a pity that you cannot see the great Namo Amituofo in front! Some demons who first arrive cannot see him because their eyes are still very polluted. After being illuminated by the Buddha-light for a period of time, some eyes open, becoming much cleaner and purified, and then they can see the Buddha.
The principle is the same; it is the same for you. For those who often look at bad things and think bad thoughts, their eyes are not easily opened. If you are purified, often look at the Buddha, often look at beautiful things, and even turn bad into good—this is something only those with true 'attainment' can do. If so, it is very likely that after you are purified, you will soon be able to see the golden statue of the Buddha, tall and majestic, radiating great light. Those who see the golden statue of the Buddha will absolutely never forget it for all eternity. This is something I believe.
A Chance Encounter
Furthermore, let me talk about the place where I went into seclusion. A small stone—this is truly as common as it gets. Every planet has its characteristics, but stones should be present on every planet, right? Even in water, there are underwater stones. Are there stones in fire? It seems there are—stones that can withstand fire. So, stones are also very common.
I spent 100 trillion years like this. Do you believe it? I once encountered an impact; it was like a big bang in the universe. Suddenly, my body felt a great vibration, so much so that I could not protect myself from moving. I was really prepared to be smashed to pieces. It turned out that a demon stone had crashed into me.
I said, 'I have lived so long, and being able to encounter light is not bad. Ending my life like this is not bad; it is always better than being sucked into the dark underground or being taken away by the law of karma.' He said, 'You are really not afraid of death, then I will accompany you.' I said, 'You are not afraid of death either.' He said, 'But I heard that places illuminated by the Buddha-light of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su can be sent to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. That seems to be a very good place. Actually, I am a bit tempted to go and take a look.'
I said, 'Then let us go! Let us find a place where Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su will pass by, a place with light. We will stay there and wait for their light to shine on us, hahaha.' He said, 'I have never seen a demon like you. Everyone else is hiding, and you want to do this. This fulfills the saying, "If you do not enter the tiger's den, how can you catch the tiger's cub?" Coincidentally, I even heard this from Practitioner Su. He once said this sentence. Let me tell you, this is the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.'
Because I wanted to witness a person like Practitioner Su, I had to use myself as bait. So, I asked him, pretending to be very knowledgeable about Practitioner Su. Do you know where he took me? He said, 'Practitioner Su seems to be a very good person. He goes to very dark places and makes them bright.'
This attracted my attention even more: 'How does he have such great ability? Our planet is called a ruin, and even demons feel it is better not to approach. To our planet, you are aliens. So, since there is an alien practitioner who can break into our ruins, fine, let us go to the ruins and wait for him.'
The two of us went to a ruin where we heard Practitioner Su had passed by, but it was hard to find because the places he passed through became bright. So where could we find ruins? I said, 'It does not matter. Is there any other dark ruin that Practitioner Su has not passed through yet?' He said, 'Yes, there seems to be one more place. Come, I will take you.'
I was still in the form of a small stone, hiding and waiting for Practitioner Su in the darkness of the ruin. I was used to it anyway, and being in meditation did not matter. In the end, we waited for him. Sometimes I still wanted to get to the bottom of it. Then, one day, when we were completely unprepared and in meditation, a very warm light shone on me.
The Warmth of Buddha-Light
Usually, if it is ordinary light, it is painless and itchy, and I would not pay attention to it. I always have the intention to come out of meditation. If one is in meditation, one can ignore the surrounding environment and continue to meditate; this is basic skill. Suddenly, a light shone on me. I was already prepared. I thought it must be Practitioner Su, because this light made me feel no threat at all; instead, I felt a bit warm. I knew that only a Buddha has this power to radiate such light, because Buddha-light represents the heart. If the light is warm, it means his heart is also warm; if the Buddha-light energy is very strong, it means the one emitting the light is also full of energy.
What is the energy for? Let me tell everyone, according to my observation, for a Buddha, energy is used to save beings. This is not like a demon; a demon's energy is used to strengthen oneself and destroy the other party. So, when I was illuminated by the Buddha-light, I was even smiling. I thought at that time, 'Fine, take me wherever you want to take me.'
Very quickly, the Buddha-light brought us to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. So, no demon children or grandchildren followed me, only the spirit inside the big stone next to me. He is also an old demon, but not as old as me; he is an old demon of a few trillion years. Now he is also in the Land of Dharma Nature, because the two of us were taken away by the Buddha-light together.
The level of space I am in is much higher than his. Regarding the days since I came here, I have already reported briefly. It is too good. I never thought there would be such a day. For an old demon who leaves a way out for others, has not done many good deeds, and has done many bad things, being able to have this place to survive makes me feel quite grateful.
A Final Counsel
Old demons generally have one characteristic: although their personality has not changed to zero and they can be bad to the extreme, because they have lived so long, there is always a bit of goodness retained; otherwise, they would not have lived so long. This is a trick, a secret, so I can enter the Western Land of Dharma Nature. I am quite grateful in my heart.
In this place, if the energy of the message I have sent out from just now until now is received by you, you will know that when you receive our message, the energy of this message also spreads to the surroundings, and beings all around can search for it. If my demon children and grandchildren are there, I see that they see the name of their old demon on this list, so they have long been waiting here to listen to what the old demon has to say. Hearing my words—I am in the same role as many other old demons, and our hearts are the same—I urge you to quickly stop casting spells. This can be called a command, or it can be called saving you. I have been saved; can you not be saved?
Furthermore, I see demon children and grandchildren attacking the fourfold assembly; you must retreat quickly. They are future Buddhas. Although some are not very capable now, and some are in the process of becoming capable, oh, but I see—you must look carefully. Each one is a future Buddha, a Buddha who can save many beings. It is better for you not to provoke them, lest you create deep and heavy sins for yourself.
In short, do not make any attacks or infringements on the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Practitioner Su, or the fourfold assembly. Just take the path of surrender. Some demons have understood; that is good. This is saving yourselves, and it is also saving you, which is equivalent to saving the Demon Realm of the Dharma Realm, because you are also a part of it. When you disappear from the Demon Realm of the Dharma Realm, it is equivalent to letting many good civilians breathe a sigh of relief.
I have heard that the beings in the Dharma Realm are very grateful to Practitioner Su recently, because he has subdued so many demons, especially old demons, allowing the Dharma Realm to gain quite a bit of peace. There are not as many attacks as before; it is much calmer now. This can also be considered one of the good deeds you have done. This means that in the heart of a Buddha, everyone is a Buddha, but many have not yet become Buddhas because they have not understood, are still doing wrong things, and are still being taught. They are all called future Buddhas. Future Buddhas can receive the merit made by Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su. You also have a share in their merit. This is the benefit of encountering a Buddha.
Of course, in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, we also often receive the merit sent to us by Practitioner Su. Everyone is very happy and joyful. This merit is not tangible wealth; it does not appear before you in the form of gold, silver, or jewels. However, once this merit is bestowed upon you, your body and mind will be very peaceful and joyful. This is called intangible merit and Dharma wealth; your spirituality is directly elevated. This is not something tangible wealth can achieve.
So, you must seize the opportunity to accumulate merit for yourselves. This is equivalent to saving the beings within you. After you accumulate merit, they also naturally receive the power of merit. After the spiritual quality is elevated, their hearts to demand debts or report grievances become much calmer. Perhaps they can resolve the conflict and not hold it against you, following the Buddha-light away. Then, have you not been purified? After purification, it is much easier to do things. With pure, like Practitioner Su, you can save many beings!
I seem to have talked too much. I cannot help it; I have so many . If I do not say it now, when will I say it? There is still a lot I have not said, so I will leave it for other old demons to say. My interview ends here.
