The Demon's Illusion and the Light of Deliverance

This is a record of an interview with Mo Dieying, a Primordial Demon who existed for three trillion years before seeking Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Buddha-land, having been saved from the cycle of rebirth. This account reflects upon his long existence and his transformation. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on November 26, 2024.

Mo Dieying speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Mo Dieying. For as long as I can remember, when I close my eyes, countless scenes appear before me. They overlap, layer upon layer, in an endless stream of visions.

For aeons, I have used this method to control others. I trap people within these illusions, leading them into a labyrinth from which they cannot escape. In the beginning, I was the one who walked into such an illusion and found myself unable to leave. That is why I became filled with such intense resentment and anger.

The Mechanics of Demon Control

This deep-seated resentment and rage drew me into the Demon Realm. Once there, I began to use the very same methods to retaliate against others. Whenever I wished to control someone, I would force them to witness a barrage of images. I would show them scenes they desired, followed immediately by scenes of their deepest, darkest fears. These images would flicker before their eyes, back and forth, until they were completely overwhelmed and disoriented. By forcing them to confront the terror hidden in the depths of their hearts, we stripped away their self-defence mechanisms. Once their guard was down, they would inevitably follow the path we laid out for them.

Regardless of which illusion they chose to enter, it meant they had been conquered by us. The success rate of this control was nearly one hundred per cent. If, during this process, their underlying demon nature surfaced, we would absorb them, and they would become our 'demon children and grandchildren'.

The Internal Fire of Resentment

I have successfully recruited many demon crowds using this method. Many of my 'demon children and grandchildren' have tried to learn my skills in controlling others, but they could never master them. The fundamental reason is that my resentment was genuine; the hatred buried deep within my heart was the source of my powerful demon nature.

For so long, my inner world felt like a raging fire. It burned me, and it burned all the other beings I encountered. There was a voice inside me, constantly urging me to move forward, never to stop. I did not know where this intense command came from, or why I was compelled to act this way. I was in agony, yet I could not stop. I knew that I possessed many different faces, not just this one, but I was trapped in a cycle of suffering that only served to make my demon nature more prominent. I remained in this state for an eternity, never truly understanding my own condition until I entered the Buddha-land. Only then did I realise that I had been a prisoner of my own demon nature.

The Encounter with Practitioner Su

The illusions I created were not merely fabrications; they were based on actual spaces that existed. When I saw the space Practitioner Su used for Chao Du, I was deeply affected. Because I have spent my existence using various spaces to control others, I have a certain sensitivity to them. Now, I understand that the spaces I manifested to control people were actually scenes from their own lives throughout their many lives, which I had simply triggered and brought to the surface. I finally realised that I had the ability to manipulate space.

Since arriving at the Buddha-land, I have watched Practitioner Su perform Chao Du with immense power, unravelling layer after layer of these spaces. I cannot help but admire her strength. At the time, I did not know she possessed such skills. I only felt that she was encroaching upon the territory of the Demon Realm, so I came to interfere. When I arrived, I discovered that countless other demon crowds were already surrounding Practitioner Su.

The Unprecedented Power of Buddha-light

Every demon crowd was using their maximum power to interfere with Practitioner Su. The scene I witnessed in that space was unique; in all my time in the Demon Realm, I had never seen anything like it. The forces of interference were immense, coming in wave after wave, like a giant tsunami. Each force was different—some like rushing torrents, others like a dam bursting. The magnetic field created by these interferences was incredibly dark. If any ordinary creature had stood there, they would have been annihilated in an instant. Yet, all these demon crowds were attacking the same target: Practitioner Su. I had never seen such a massive, coordinated attack. I was filled with doubt, wondering just how much power Practitioner Su possessed to require such a total mobilisation of the demon crowds.

At the centre of the battlefield, there was a point of intersection. On one side was golden light, and on the other was a profoundly dark magnetic field. When they collided head-on, I expected a massive explosion. To my surprise, there was no explosion at all. Instead, the golden light covered the dark demon power with incredible speed. Before I could even react, the golden light had completely subdued the demon forces I was watching.

A Vision of True Deliverance

Even as the front lines were subdued, more demon crowds rushed in to replace them. Despite this, I did not see a single group succeed in overcoming Practitioner Su. Such a scene had never occurred in the Demon Realm, and the entire space of the demon crowds was left in a state of confusion, not knowing how to react or resist. The power brought by Practitioner Su was constantly encroaching upon the entire space of the Demon Realm, forcing the demon crowds to react violently to protect their territory. If not for this great upheaval, we in the Demon Realm would never have known that such an opponent existed.

Practitioner Su has now become the primary target of the entire Demon Realm. Many demon crowds have locked onto her, determined to defeat her. They believe that if they could succeed, it would be the pride of all demon-kind. Many want to use this as an opportunity to show off their energy, but they have all failed. They find the result hard to accept, yet many still believe they can break through.

Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body is constantly traversing space at every moment of the day. As she does so, she continues to encroach upon the demon crowds. Because of this, many more continue to come, hoping to change the outcome. When I saw these scenes, the 'demon children and grandchildren' around me were furious. They were angry that Practitioner Su could save so many demon crowds while remaining so calm. They kept urging me to join the battle, hoping that with my abilities, we could settle the score with her.

While they were desperate to act, I remained calm. After so many years in the Demon Realm, what storms had I not seen? I had encountered powerful enemies before, but I had always managed to break through. In my heart, I knew that Practitioner Su’s power was vast—something I had never encountered in all my lives. I had cultivated a certain level of meditative concentration over the long years. I knew that attacking Practitioner Su was inevitable, but I was no longer concerned about the outcome. Regardless of what happened, I had to accept the facts before me with a calm heart, did I not?

When I led my 'demon children and grandchildren' to attack Practitioner Su, we became a massive ball of demon energy, rolling forward rapidly, attempting to engulf her. I thought that if I could get close enough, I could use my ability to transform space. To my surprise, before I could even get near her, the Buddha-light shone upon me. I felt my entire being undergo a profound change. I heard the brief cries of my 'demon children and grandchildren', and then the space was completely transformed. I entered a realm filled with golden light. My spirit became clear, and I felt the side of my Buddha-nature. In that process, my eyes changed, and with that change, my perspective and the way I viewed the world were forever altered.

I saw Practitioner Su, her entire body radiating light. Everything her physical body did was to pave the way for the future of all beings. Her Dharma Body was constantly performing Chao Du for spirits across every space. The Dharma Realm contains infinite spaces, and wherever her Dharma Body passed, those spaces were unsealed. I saw the scenes of these spaces with a sense of familiarity, and I watched as boundless beings were led out of them. This power astonished me; I could never have imagined such a thing was possible.

A great change occurred throughout the space. I saw many beings turning to Practitioner Su for help, hoping she would save them. During the Chao Du process, she did not hesitate for a moment. She saved as many beings as she could, her firm power moving ever forward. Even as many interfering forces sought her out, I felt that she did not care in the slightest; she was even joyful that these beings could be saved. I could not imagine how she could be this way.

I also saw many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas radiating light throughout the space, in sync with Practitioner Su. Boundless beings are grateful to her, and although many demon crowds still interfere, she continues to move forward. I have never seen anyone as persistent as Practitioner Su, who possesses such a sincere heart for all beings. It was only after coming to the Buddha-land that I understood the need to seek liberation. There are too many beings reincarnated throughout the spaces of the Dharma Realm. The suffering and sorrow of these beings can be resolved under the Buddha’s light. I am so grateful to Practitioner Su! Namo Amituofo."
