The Profound Source of Wisdom

The profound ability of Practitioner Su to deliver lectures on the is not a skill acquired overnight. It is the culmination of countless lifetimes of dedicated practice. Throughout his journey of realising his true nature and attaining Buddhahood, he has accumulated vast experience in saving the world and guiding sentient beings. This wisdom now manifests naturally, vividly, and with a precision that strikes directly at the heart of the matter. Because of this, every time Practitioner Su delivers a lecture, immeasurable and boundless spirits from the Dharma Realm gather to listen. Beyond receiving the benefits of the Dharma, a primary reason they attend is to seek , hoping to be reborn in the of Ultimate Bliss.

Walking the Path of the Infinite Life Sutra

Practitioner Su often reminds us that to truly learn from Namo Amituofo, one must follow the teachings of the Infinite Life Sutra. Practitioner Su himself embodies this path, which is how he achieved his own . He wishes to pass this experience on to all of us, and one can clearly see the footprints of his devotion to the teachings within the Infinite Life Sutra. As described in the second chapter of the Infinite Life Sutra:

  • Heavenly beings and humans turn to the Buddha for refuge and invite him to turn the Wheel of the Dharma.
  • The Buddha constantly uses the sound of the Dharma to awaken the world.
  • He breaks down the city of afflictions and destroys the trenches of desire.
  • He washes away all filth and reveals the pure, white nature of the mind.
  • He disciplines all beings, proclaims the wonderful truth, stores up merit, and shows us the field of .
  • He uses the medicine of the Dharma to heal the three kinds of suffering.

This passage serves as the perfect reflection and validation of Practitioner Su’s own life and work.

Navigating the Age of the Dharma’s Decline

In this age of the Dharma’s decline, the spirits of the world are often stubborn and difficult to tame. Without the great wisdom, great power, and great courage found in the supreme Dharma of the Pure Land, it would be impossible to teach or subdue them. If this is true for ordinary beings, one can only imagine the state of the and attached spirits residing within the bodies of the fourfold assembly of disciples; their condition is often even more severe. Under such circumstances, if the one teaching the Dharma lacks virtue, skill, and the power of merit, how could they possibly hope to invite these spirits to resolve their conflicts or perform Chao Du? Practitioner Su skillfully utilises his own power and the power of his to perform what seem like miraculous tasks. He has successfully completed many missions that appeared impossible, often finding a way through desperate situations and turning danger into safety through the inexhaustible adaptability of his true nature.

The Ultimate Sacrifice for All Beings

The vow to practise and save the world, to offer this body, mind, and spirit to the service of all beings, is not merely a slogan. It is a commitment that must be tested and verified through countless trials, and this process must be demonstrated before the eyes of the world so that beings may be truly convinced. The recent incident where Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body sought rain is a testament to this, as the injuries he sustained were very real. To this day, Skanda and other Dharma protectors continue to use a vacuuming process to remove countless sentient beings from his body. The sheer number of these beings is vast, truly beyond the scope of human understanding. Once these beings enter of Practitioner Su, they are often reluctant to leave, for his body is filled with , coolness, and warmth. This situation stands in stark contrast to the karmic creditors and attached spirits within the bodies of the fourfold assembly, who often cling to their hosts to demand retribution. This stark difference between those who practise and those who do not—or who are only beginning to practise—shows us how much room we still have for improvement. Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre provides an excellent environment for practitioners. Whether you are practising on your own, diligently performing prostrations, or listening to lectures, your own initiative, your ability to put the teachings into action, and the sincerity of your vow to learn and save others are the most important driving forces.

A Transformation of Heart and Mind

When the vacuuming process is performed, the resistance from the beings being removed has lessened significantly compared to the past. The space within our cells is infinitely vast, and even if many beings are hidden within them, the powerful attraction of the vacuuming process has proven effective. Over time, as these beings see that those who have been removed have found a good destination—truly arriving at a place of water and light—they become more willing to leave. Practitioner Su’s words are indeed true. Furthermore, Practitioner Su repeatedly emphasises in every lecture and Dharma assembly: If I am not here, there will be no one left to help you with Chao Du. At first, many beings did not take this seriously, not understanding the importance of the matter. However, after listening to the lectures time and again, some have come to understand and see the truth. They no longer resist and are willing to come out, making the process much smoother. This work continues even now. Namo Amituofo.
