The Digital Soul's Awakening

This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Steve Jobs, who sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now reflects upon his life, his transformation, and the profound nature of spiritual deliverance. This testimony was recorded by the chief writer, Venerable Haize, on August 31, 2017.

Steve Jobs speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I have come to understand the intentions of Practitioner Su. The human world is indeed a place where it is incredibly difficult to be saved. If I had not gone through the process of death, the retribution in the hells, and the subsequent journey toward the Western Pure Land, I would have remained one of those who are impossible to save. I was controlled without even realising it—arrogant, conceited, and firmly believing only in what I could see and what I knew. If someone had tried to persuade me back then, they would have needed to present powerful, irrefutable evidence. Otherwise, as someone who lived and breathed machinery and technology, I would never have accepted their opinions or suggestions. This is a common affliction among influential people. We make decisions that have a ripple effect on everything; if we fail, countless others suffer the consequences alongside us."

The Arrogance of a Tech Pioneer

"At the moment, I have been considering methods to reach out. I could try to appear in the dreams of influential people in the human world, but would that work? Most of them are also being controlled by their own attachments. If I could be guided through the teachings of Practitioner Su, that would be another, perhaps more effective, path."

Venerable Haize asked, "Foreigners also fall ill and suffer from the pain of sickness. You can bring them here to seek treatment from Practitioner Su! May I ask the Buddha if this is permissible?"

The Buddha replied, "Causal Conditions do not recognise national borders or languages. As long as there is an affinity, all beings can be saved."

"Perhaps this lifetime is the only chance they will have to encounter the Buddha’s teachings; once it passes, it is gone forever," added the Buddha.

Steve Jobs replied, "Thank you, Namo Amituofo. I will do my utmost to make this happen."

The Power of True Deliverance

"Today, I witnessed something new during the Chao Du ceremony. Practitioner Su’s power is truly inconceivable. With a single wave of her hand, the flames were extinguished, and the beings trapped within the magma had their bodies restored and were clothed in white garments. In an instant, many of them rose into the air and were led away by Practitioner Su. I was so stunned I could barely react.

The next place we visited was the hells. I followed closely behind, not daring to hesitate. I saw the Buddha-light shining everywhere, and the water of the Buddha-light irrigating the realm. The sound of the Buddha-name chanting filled my ears. Amidst the constant wailing, I could hear some beings chanting 'Namo Amituofo'. In a flash, several of them seemed to be swept away by waves of light, and the hell returned to its original state. By then, Practitioner Su and I had already departed."

The Spirit Within the Machine

"Our next destination was the African savanna. Many animals approached us of their own accord, while others suddenly appeared in the space around us. In a split second, Practitioner Su removed their animal forms, replaced them with human attire, and sent them forward—toward the Western Pure Land.

Looking back, I suddenly saw a massive swarm of electronic devices flying toward us from all directions. This sudden sight gave me quite a shock. Mobile phones were flying on their own! I never had the capability to design such a thing; human engineering could never reach such a level. It was Practitioner Su! Then, a vast array of screws, micro-electronic circuit boards, small panels, and electronic components began to appear. Even the basic imagery often found on screens—rivers, mountains, the physical world, sunlight, the moon, landscapes, and people—began to fly out of the devices, alive and vibrant. I took a deep breath. Were they coming for me?

These were from another department, projects that were meant to be planned and input after the hardware was completed. They were part of the content our company produced, designed to be different in every batch to maintain the interest of enthusiasts and keep sales rates high. How long ago was this imagery input? My mind raced, but the changes before my eyes were faster. I had never encountered such a thing. Why does everything become so inconceivable when I am with Practitioner Su?"

A Lesson in Humility

"I had no time to ponder. Suddenly, a beautiful young girl appeared before me. Her figure and features were exquisite. She smiled at me, looked me in the eye, and I looked back at her. She waved her hand at me, said 'Good-bye', and flew forward. Did I know her? Everything happened too quickly; I had no time to reflect. In the next scene, the components I had worked on during the assembly of a limited-edition device appeared before me, magnified. I recognised them—I had personally handed them to the R&D team. How could they be here? In short, they too transformed into human forms and flew forward.

I understand now. All hardware equipment possesses a spirit. They, too, can be saved and reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. It is truly inconceivable! There is so much in this world that we do not know and cannot imagine, yet we are arrogant enough to think we are important enough to influence the entire world. I only saw these things after I began following Practitioner Su. Otherwise, I would still be that same arrogant, conceited person who did not know the height of the sky or the depth of the earth.

I am grateful for Practitioner Su’s teachings. This is 'teaching by example', which surpasses any classroom learning or accumulated work experience. It is deeply etched into my mind. I have realised that humility is the natural driving force of progress. As the saying goes, 'There is always someone better; there is always a higher authority.' I have seen it now! Gratitude to Namo Amituofo. Gratitude to Practitioner Su."
