On the twenty-first of February, 2018, Practitioner Su experienced persistent pain in his left foot, left groin, and left sciatic nerve. Seeking to understand the root cause of this physical suffering, Venerable HaiZe inquired into the nature of the spirits residing within these specific areas of Practitioner Su's body. The following dialogue reveals the hidden connections between our physical form and the spirits who seek resolution.

The Hidden Inhabitants of

Venerable HaiZe asked the spirits, "From where have you come, and why do you choose to reside within the body of Practitioner Su?" The spirits responded by explaining the complex cycle of spiritual movement. They described how, as spirits are invited out of the body layer by layer, others often attempt to move in to take their place. However, in recent days, this influx has diminished. Instead, the spirits who have long been settled deep within the body are now manifesting one by one.

These spirits shared that they had entered the body a long time ago, finding it to be a warm and secure home. They had been living there in quietude until they began to hear the constant, rhythmic sound of the bell, calling out to them, "Come out! Come out!" They identified themselves as spirits associated with Practitioner Yao and Chen Baoying. They confessed that, in their past lives, they had been deeply involved in supporting the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. Yet, due to a lack of right and the presence of arrogance, they were gradually manipulated by other spirits and eventually drifted away from the path.

The Weight of Past Attachments

Although many years have passed, these spirits remained attached to Practitioner Su because he held a heart of gratitude toward Practitioner Yao and Chen Baoying. This gratitude created a space for them to exist in a semi-hidden state within his left foot and along his sciatic nerve. When the initial invitation for spirits to depart was made, many did not manifest immediately. Instead of leaving, they moved deeper into the body, settling into the physical structure of Practitioner Su.

The spirits admitted that, at the time, they truly did not wish to resolve the conflict. They were unwilling to leave the comfort of the body they had claimed. However, after listening to the for several months, they began to understand the profound beauty and peace of the Western Pure Land. Yet, their lingering arrogance and the weight of their past grievances made it difficult to let go. At that time, the Western Land of Dharma Nature was not yet accessible to them. Lacking a destination, they chose to remain, becoming, in a sense, a part of Practitioner Su's own cells.

The Struggle for Purification

The spirits acknowledged that they were essentially foreign entities—beings for whom Practitioner Su was enduring suffering. Because they were not his original cells, they carried a heavy burden of darkness and . No matter how much they tried to let go of their grievances toward Practitioner Yao, they could not achieve complete purification. They understood that their primary were not present in this specific location, yet their hearts remained filled with resentment and hatred. These negative emotions were only kept in check by the immense meditative concentration and wisdom of Practitioner Su.

This internal darkness and drowsiness were the true sources of the interference. They disrupted the flow of neural signals along the sciatic nerve and exerted pressure on the nerves themselves, manifesting as muscle weakness and physical pain. Furthermore, they revealed that spirits associated with Qiu Qingsong were also present, entangled deep within the groin area. These spirits were primarily those who had been involved in issues of lust, or those who had suffered from deep emotional entanglements in their past lives. While the situation has eased significantly compared to the past, Practitioner Su's physical body continues to bear the weight of this suffering.

A Path Toward Liberation

After many years of residing within this space, the spirits expressed their readiness to depart. They have been under the constant care and protection of Practitioner Su's , and they have finally reached a point of understanding. They offered their deepest gratitude to Practitioner Su for his great , which has allowed them to see the light of the truth. They concluded their message with the sincere recitation of the Buddha's name, seeking rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Through the power of Namo Amituofo, even the deepest shadows within our own bodies can be transformed into light.

This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
