A Gathering Beyond the Horizon

On December 24, 2017, National Master Xianshou offered these profound teachings regarding the . The sky is clear, and the hearts of all beings are filled with as they prepare to participate in this sacred assembly. Whether the ceremony is held in Taipei, Hong Kong, or any other location, the venue is truly everywhere. The presence of the assembly is not limited by physical walls or geographical coordinates; it is a gathering that spans the entire Dharma Realm.

Though Practitioner Su, the monastics, and the lay practitioners present at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre may number only a few dozen, the space is filled with countless beings. The entire Dharma Realm is present, including the beings of the six realms of existence, the four holy states, the ten directions, and beings from this world, other worlds, and distant planets. Every one of these beings participates in the Dharma assembly with great joy, for they are gathered under the guidance of Namo Amituofo.

The Majestic Light of Namo Amituofo

Namo Amituofo personally leads the ceremony. His light is brilliant and permeates the entire Dharma Realm, even if our physical eyes cannot perceive it. This majestic light is constant and all-encompassing. Whether the number of human participants is large or small, it does not diminish the significance of the event. The true blessing lies in the ability of any being to enter this assembly.

While the number of human participants can be counted, the number of spirits from the unseen realms is beyond calculation. They have all been waiting for the arrival of this day. For human beings, the opportunity to attend is a matter of karmic affinity. Only those who have heard the news and possess the necessary connection can enter the hall of the Dharma assembly. Those without such affinity may pass by without ever knowing the treasure that was within their reach.

The Dharma Ship of

For beings in other realms, the process is different. If they have the karmic affinity to know of the ceremony, they do not need to register as humans do. The Dragon and Heaven Dharma Protectors invite them to enter, ensuring that everything proceeds in perfect, orderly fashion. Namo Amituofo, in His infinite compassion, opens the Dharma ship to navigate toward Taipei, Hong Kong, and beyond.

No matter how the initial journey of this Dharma ship unfolds, it is always a process of expansion, reaching out to save more beings. Throughout this process, Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre remains "unmoved," firmly anchored in the vow-ocean of Namo Amituofo. This is the truth of the practice: to remain steady in one's original nature while the light of the Buddha reaches out to the ends of the universe.
