The Martial Spirit and the Power of Dharma Body Deliverance

This interview features the spirit of Ma Yun, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Having found refuge in the Dharma, he now resides within the light of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This testimony was recorded on March 16, 2018, by Venerable Faxi.

Ma Yun speaks:

"The state of returning to the body is different every single day. Sometimes, even the things I remember are not the same. Every morning, the skills displayed by the fellow practitioner leave me absolutely dumbfounded. The speed at which the spirit flies is just like watching a martial arts film—no, it is even faster than that. It is so fast that I cannot even blink in time. I have always loved martial arts and the skills associated with them, and I often tried to imitate them in private. I never imagined that such realistic scenes would be something I could witness with my own eyes every single morning. I used to think that in this world, only movie special effects could synthesize such powerful and majestic martial arts. I never expected that there would be such an intensive transmission of the Dharma Body in this world. It is a revelation that shakes the very foundation of what I thought was possible.

The Lost Art of True Power

The great skills of the older generation have already faded into obscurity. Now, people can only fulfill the dreams in their hearts through the illusions found in movies. But now, seeing the true 'divine foot' skills and the power of the fellow practitioner, I am determined to learn. What makes me happiest every day is witnessing the fellow practitioner perform such rapid Dharma Body Chao Du. A person who practices martial arts should naturally act with chivalry, to help the world, and to save people. This martial art, this intensity, this Dharma Body—I must learn it, I must reclaim it. This is truly wonderful, absolutely wonderful! It is such a pity that the people of the world cannot see this. What a joyful realm this is. This is truly magnificent. I will come quickly, I will come to learn, truly, truly, Namo Amituofo."
