During the third session of the , we reflect on the profound nature of the fire that sustains our physical existence. This fire is not merely a physical phenomenon; it is the very essence of our vitality.
The fire of is expressed through our internal temperature. Every aspect of our physical being relies on this energy to function and remain active. This includes:
These components require a constant supply of energy to operate. When this energy flows harmoniously, our body temperature is maintained, allowing us to interact with the world around us.
Our body is a sophisticated system that must constantly balance its internal heat. When the temperature rises, the body naturally seeks to dissipate heat through the pores and skin. Conversely, when we face cold or damp conditions, the body must work to preserve warmth. This constant regulation is the source of our life. It is a delicate process that sustains us from moment to moment.
When this internal fire fades and the body becomes cold, it signifies that the life of this current existence has reached its end. Life is a continuous, tireless process, and our physical form never truly rests. Because our time in this physical form is limited, we must cherish every moment we have.
How should we use this precious life? We must engage in diligent practice while in a deep meditative state. By doing so, we can realise our true nature and attain the -Nature Body. This is how we ensure that our daily efforts are not in vain, and that we make meaningful progress on the path to Buddhahood. This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe, who serves as the chief writer.
