The Path to Flourishing: A Discourse on Body, Mind, and Spirit
Teachings from Namo Amituofo

The Three Pillars of Existence
My children, to understand the true nature of this life, we must examine it through three distinct yet interconnected lenses: , the heart, and the spirit. When we speak of a complete and harmonious existence, the heart acts as the master. It is the heart that governs the health of the spirit, which in turn ensures the physical body remains sound and vibrant. When these three are in alignment, one begins to manifest a state of flourishing, creating the necessary conditions to realise one's true nature. This state of being is reflected both within the inner landscape of the heart and in the external circumstances of one's life.
The Catalyst of
When you look upon the world and see the endless suffering of beings—those who have lost their way and have nowhere to turn—a profound compassion naturally arises. This is the birth of the true heart of a . It is the compassionate desire to save all beings, to help them leave suffering behind and find the of rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss. This is the genuine vow to save others. Within this state of purity, the heart of compassion is fully revealed. To flourish is to experience a state of profound joy, and there is no greater joy than witnessing others find liberation from their suffering. This is the true meaning of a heart that is rich, content, and lacking nothing.
The Stability of the Spirit
You must reflect deeply: if the Buddha and Bodhisattvas were not here to guide you, how could you ever hope to attain a complete Body-Mind-Spirit and the opportunity to realise your true nature? We must be eternally grateful for the grace of the Buddha. The stability of your spirit comes from your faith in yourself and your faith in the Buddha. It is sustained by your willingness to change your ways, to change personality traits that hinder your growth, and to strictly observe the . When the heart is stable, the spirit finds peace. This stability ensures that your three hun souls and seven po souls remain within the body, preventing them from scattering. When these souls are intact, you possess a complete spirit, which is an absolute necessity for the purification and elevation required to realise your true nature.
Purification Through Constant Practice
A healthy body provides the energy required to assist your cells in maintaining their proper functions, allowing them to perform at their best and preventing the onset of decay. By chanting Namo Amituofo continuously, without allowing delusions to enter your mind, you place your entire Body-Mind-Spirit into a state of pure chanting. This leads to a process of purifying the body, heart, and spirit, and then more purification, which creates the opportunity to realise your true nature. Those who have realised their true nature exist at all times and in all places in a state of abundant energy and flourishing. They naturally transform their environment, for the world follows the state of the heart.
Emulating the Awakened
Practitioner Su works tirelessly at every moment to save beings, constantly manifesting this state of flourishing. All practitioners should emulate this example. The relief of human suffering is the fundamental mission of the temple, and it is the very reason the Buddha’s teachings exist in this world. The temple and all its disciples must dedicate themselves to this noble work. Namo Amituofo.
