The Yilan 'Awaken the Life-Heart, Live a New Life' Body-Mind-Spirit seminar and the Thrice Yearning Ceremony reached their fourteenth day. During the second session, Namo Amituofo provided profound teachings on the perfection of practice.

The Trap of Self-Satisfaction

In your journey of practice, you must never fall into the trap of self-satisfaction. Many practitioners believe they have achieved enough, yet this complacency is the greatest obstacle to progress. True practice requires you to understand the need for order and discipline. Only by diligently cultivating the mind can you attain true inner peace and wisdom.

Cultivating Stillness Amidst Chaos

If you attempt to practise amidst the chaos of the world, your mind will become like a turbulent, stormy sea. It will be unable to find the clarity of purity. You must learn to anchor your spirit, ensuring that your inner state remains calm regardless of external circumstances. When the mind is clear, the light of your true nature can shine through.

The Heart of True Correction

The benefits of practice are found within yourself. If you do not understand the nature of your practice, your mind will sink into the depths of confusion. The difficulty you feel is simply because you believe you cannot do it. If you do not possess a heart dedicated to correction and refinement, you will certainly fail to progress. You must commit to the path with sincerity and unwavering resolve.
