The Spiritual Origins of Physical Suffering and the Path to Deliverance
Teachings from Namo Amituofo regarding Practitioner Su
Recorded on 25 February 2018
The Weight of Infinitely Layered Beings
On the twenty-fifth of February, 2018, Practitioner Su experienced significant physical discomfort, particularly in her left leg, the sciatic nerve, the groin area, and an open wound on her left foot. Seeking to understand the spiritual origin of this suffering, she turned to the wisdom of Namo Amituofo.
Namo Amituofo explained that these sensations were caused by an infinitely layered assembly of beings from a past assembly. These beings were piled upon one another, creating a heavy, crushing pressure that obstructed the flow of blood and energy through the nerves. This accumulation of spiritual weight had caused tangible damage to the muscles and bones of the practitioner.
Namo Amituofo instructed that these spirits must be invited to come forward and depart, so that they would no longer obstruct the practitioner from performing her vital work. The beings were encouraged to sincerely repent, chant the name of Namo Amituofo with a compassionate heart, and seek rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss, which is the only true path to liberation. A memorial tablet was established for these immeasurable and boundless beings, represented by Guan Fengdi, who sought recovery and purification. They have now been guided into the at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
The Agony of the Hell Realms
Practitioner Su also reported a distressing sensation of vibration throughout her internal organs, accompanied by a sharp, pulling pain in her heart. She asked Namo Amituofo to reveal the nature of the beings causing this intense suffering.
Namo Amituofo revealed that this vibration was a manifestation of the immeasurable suffering experienced by beings from the hell realms. These beings were standing in rows, their collective agony resonating within the practitioner. Because their personalities are complex and burdened by deep-seated karmic obstacles, it is difficult for them to ascend directly to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. They were desperately seeking the Buddha's salvation. A memorial tablet was established for these immeasurable and boundless beings from the hell realms, represented by Lu Zhiman, who sought recovery, purification, and a peaceful heart. They have also been guided into the Western Dharma-Nature Land at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
The Hunger of the Departed
Finally, Practitioner Su inquired about a persistent feeling of bloating, heat, and discomfort in her stomach.
Namo Amituofo explained that the sensation of churning and acid erosion in the stomach was caused by hungry ghosts who were desperate for nourishment. These beings had attended countless Dharma assemblies, rituals, and food offerings across various temples and locations, yet they had not found satisfaction or comfort. They were filled with an immeasurable and boundless desire to be fed, but because they were suffering from their own spiritual wounds, they sought the help of Practitioner Su for .
Namo Amituofo directed that this cycle of seeking must end. These beings were instructed to cease their attachment and ascend directly to the Western Dharma-Nature Land. There are an uncountable number of these beings, and once they leave the practitioner's body, they will find the peace and fulfillment they have long sought. A memorial tablet was established for them, represented by Lian Zhihan, and they have now been guided into the Western Dharma-Nature Land at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
This record of the teachings was transcribed by the Buddha's disciple, Shi Faxi.
