The Spiritual Truth Behind the Meat Industry
An Interview with the Spirit of Lee Kuan Yew
Recorded on June 9, 2018
This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Lee Kuan Yew, the former Prime Minister of Singapore, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now reflects upon the karmic consequences of meat consumption and the necessity of vegetarianism. This session was recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on June 9, 2018.
Lee Kuan Yew speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Lee Kuan Yew. In the vast, shifting sands of the desert, one can see long caravans of camels moving slowly across the horizon. They carry heavy loads of precious goods, moving in organized lines like a merchant fleet. These people often compete with one another over the value of their cargo, eventually reaching a nearby oasis to trade and sell what they have gathered. The life of these nomadic tribes is one of material wealth, yet their quality of life remains remarkably poor. For the children born into the vast wilderness, there is no choice but to accept this harsh existence.
The Brutality of the Nomadic Diet
Because their diet is almost exclusively meat-based, these people grow up rugged and hardened. When they slaughter livestock, they show no mercy; their movements are fast, ruthless, and precise—this is their defining characteristic. When I look at them, I see countless animal spirits clinging to their bodies. Often, their very facial features begin to resemble the fierce, predatory animals they consume. This is a sight that the modern, civilized world rarely witnesses, yet it is the reality of life on the frontier.
The Hidden Cost of Modern Civilization
In our so-called civilized society, the scene is different, yet the underlying truth is the same. We see trays of meat served at our tables, tossed into boiling hot pots or laid out on sizzling grills. Think about it—how much meat is consumed every single day in all-you-can-eat restaurants? How many such establishments exist across our modern cities? And how many animal spirits are currently attached to the people who frequent these places? People often dismiss vegetarianism as merely a religious practice, failing to realise that the implications are far deeper and more profound than they could ever imagine.
A Light in the Darkness
What pierces through this dark, karmic night is a brilliant, expansive light, and Practitioner Su is the leader at the very forefront of this radiance. Through the work at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, animals running in every corner of the world can be saved through Chao Du. The animal spirits attached to these creatures can be delivered, and those that have attached themselves to human beings must also be given the opportunity for deliverance. Modern civilization suffers from high cholesterol and excessive body fat, yet many people do not realise that these conditions are often caused by the animal spirits clinging to them.
The Root of Physical Suffering
Scientists study the human body, yet they remain unaware of this deeper layer of spiritual attachment; it is something that cannot be studied in a laboratory, and they have never understood it. The root of many physical illnesses and chronic pains lies precisely in these attachments. This is information that is more advanced than any modern technology, and it is something everyone must know. The fundamental solution is to adopt a vegetarian diet and to seek Chao Du. If I were still in the physical world and truly understood these truths, I would certainly stand upon a stage and deliver a speech to the world about it. Namo Amituofo."
