As the green leaves turn to gold and drift slowly to the earth, we are reminded that everything in the material realm eventually returns to its source. The flowers bloom without intent, leaving the branches bare and empty, waiting for the cycle to turn. This is not a time of loss, but a sacred opportunity for rest. It is the perfect season for you to retreat inward, to nourish your heart, and to find the profound stillness that resides deep within your true nature.
The great earth reveals a path of profound silence during this time. Under the vast, quiet night sky, the world seems to hold its breath, allowing you to step away from the noise of daily life. In this silence, you can finally hear the pure sound within your own heart. The Buddha-name circles your ears, a constant, comforting presence that never ceases. When you allow this Buddha-name to fill your , you are no longer distracted by the external world.
When you realise that the Pure Land is created by the heart, your body and mind will find true peace. You may find yourself alone in this environment, without worldly companions, but you are never truly solitary when you are with the Buddha. In this state of quietude, where there is no sound and no craving, you discover your original, innate freedom. This is the natural state of the true self, unburdened by the weight of the world. Do not let your mind be troubled by unnecessary worries or idle thoughts. When you let go of all intentions and attachments, your heart becomes as clear as a mirror, reflecting the light of the Truth.
