The Three Souls of Ma Yun: A Journey to the Copper Pillar Hell
An Interview with the Spirit of Ma Yun
Recorded on September 14, 2018, by Venerable HaiZe
This interview was recorded on September 14, 2018, by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe. The spirit of Ma Yun sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, where he participated in the morning deliverance ceremony. He now resides in the spiritual realms, reflecting on the profound karmic lessons he witnessed regarding the consequences of his past actions.
Ma Yun speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. We are the soul of Ma Yun. This time, our spirit is complete and whole; all three souls have emerged together to participate in the morning deliverance ceremony. We are deeply grateful for the tremendous assistance of the senior practitioner, who invited Great Master Ouyi to preside and protect Ma Yun's physical body. By preventing external spirits from entering, he allowed our three souls to unite and attend this morning assembly together. Ma Yun feels so excited! Suddenly, the sensation of the three souls becoming one feels so light, so free, and so at ease! We can now share and shoulder our burdens together.
A Shocking Lesson in the Hells
We are now one, a trinity. On our very first day of attendance, we were taken through a shocking lesson in 'Han education'—we were brought into the hells. It made our three souls tremble with fear. Although the -soul often follows the senior practitioner here, he still appeared terrified. Perhaps it stirred up memories from the past. When we arrived at the Copper Pillar Hell, our three souls simultaneously widened our eyes and gasped, for we saw a familiar face—it was one of Ma Yun's business partners. A face that could not be more familiar.
In the past, if Ma Yun needed information regarding computer peripherals, a single phone call to him would yield the latest answers and services. There were no consulting fees; a meal together every so often was enough to offset the cost of such professional advice. However, after our gatherings, we would always find a poetic and picturesque place to spend time with women, and only then would the day's meeting be considered complete. But ever since Ma Yun began following the senior practitioner to save the beings in the hells, he has witnessed so many terrifying scenes that he no longer dares to do whatever I wanted as he did before. He has exercised much more restraint. It seems, however, that his partner still loves that taste and continues to engage in such activities, which is why he appeared in the Copper Pillar Hell today.
The Agony of the Copper Pillar
His spirit and face were distorted by screams of pain. His entire body was stuck to the copper pillar, which was heated to thousands of degrees, emitting a sizzling, crackling sound. We could even smell the thick, charred scent of burning flesh. His lower abdomen and private parts were completely mangled and unrecognisable; we truly could not bear to look any longer.
There was a time when Ma Yun would frequently think of women, especially when someone he trusted brought them to him; he would feel more at ease. At that time, there would be different voices in Ma Yun's heart—some saying yes, some saying no. These were likely the different voices of the various beings, the consciousness-soul, or -soul. Ma Yun would have to struggle within himself before he could finally let go. Now that our three souls have witnessed this scene together, I am certain that no matter which soul it is, none will dare to have conflicting voices again. None of us wants to suffer such torment just for a moment of pleasure.
A Call for Vigilance
We feel deeply saddened by his suffering! After all, we were good friends. He is not as fortunate as Ma Yun; Ma Yun has the care of the senior practitioner to help him exercise restraint. He did not have such an opportunity, and who knows how many times he has already endured this suffering? In fact, Ma Yun himself had been to the Copper Pillar Hell before. Alas! I dare not think about it any further, lest my thoughts summon the appearance of women again. It is simply too terrifying!
The senior practitioner's method of 'opportunity education' is truly brilliant! People in this world often do not give up until they reach the Yellow River; they do not shed tears until they see the coffin! If these records can be written down for everyone to see, those with good roots and connected by karmic affinity may find some warning in them. One must not have improper thoughts, and one must not engage in illicit sexual relations outside of marriage; only then can one avoid the suffering of the Copper Pillar Hell. However, if one's soul is snatched away by a karmic female creditor at night to engage in such acts, the physical body will still feel weak and suffer upon waking. It seems that lust is not a good thing. I hope that Ma Yun's body and spirit can reach a consensus. I hope everyone can be vigilant and not act on impulse, lest they create the hellish suffering of retribution."
Namo Amituofo."
