The Path of Diligent Practice

The journey of practice is rarely a smooth, unbroken path. Because you must constantly confront and overcome your own 'self,' personal ego, and selfishness, you will inevitably encounter challenges. In different eras and environments, you will face unique problems. Some of these obstacles are far too complex for an individual to overcome or improve upon alone; they require the collective strength of a group or an even greater power to resolve. This is the reality of our external circumstances.

However, true practice emphasises that the heart is the primary focus. You must look inward to explore your own mind, discover your own shortcomings, and change your ways from within, rather than seeking solutions solely from the outside. Once you have gained this understanding and put it into actual practice, you will find that as long as your actions and vows are in accordance with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, your own will manifest. When this happens, you will be able to receive the full support of the Buddha's .

The Synergy of Self-Power and

Even after you have entered the path of practice, whether your vows can be realised depends on the strength of your own efforts. While the Buddha's blessings are boundless and infinite, and the Buddha-heart is equal and without discrimination, the results of these blessings can vary. This variation occurs because of the differences in each individual's:

  • Sincerity: The depth and purity of your heart.
  • Focus: Your ability to concentrate and gather your mind.
  • Purity: The extent to which your mind is free from the stains of impurity.
  • Diligent Practice: The level of effort you apply to your daily cultivation.
  • Causal Conditions: Whether the necessary conditions for a specific task have matured.

Practitioner Su, who has realised his true nature, saves beings with a heart of sincerity, no-mind, and emptiness. Because his heart is perfectly in sync with the Buddha-heart, he can fully receive and absorb the Buddha's blessings. This is why the vows made by Practitioner Su can manifest so quickly. Furthermore, because Practitioner Su never ceases his efforts to save beings, he moves seamlessly from one task to the next. With the Dragon and Heaven Protectors standing guard by his side, he is able to eliminate obstacles from external spirits or negative influences, blocking unnecessary interference so that his work can be completed with the utmost efficiency. This entire process is a beautiful, harmonious collaboration between self-power and external support.

The Tireless Mission of Practitioner Su

Practitioner Su is able to make one day feel like two because he has witnessed the suffering and helplessness of all beings. Driven by a heart that never stops in its mission to save others, he uses every ounce of his ability to help them. If he encounters difficulties during this process, he faces them immediately without retreating. If one method does not work, he will simply switch to another, continuing forward with unwavering determination until the task is complete. It is for this reason that Practitioner Su can truly say, "There is nothing I wish to do that cannot be done."

With his five eyes fully opened and clear, Practitioner Su can see the problems of all beings. There is so much that can be done, and so much that needs to be done. However, within the constraints of limited time, the work he can perform is also limited. This is why he hopes that all of you will achieve success as soon as possible, so that you, too, can do more to help beings. Practitioner Su works tirelessly, hoping to do his absolute best in every single task. He wants to ensure that all beings and the fourfold assembly of disciples receive the best care, allowing them to practise without any worries or burdens. Everything he does is for one purpose: he hopes that the fourfold assembly, especially the Venerables, can soon realise their true nature and become capable of standing on their own, ensuring that the mission of saving the world and the teachings can be passed down for generations to come.

A Future of Boundless Potential

The future of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre has only just begun, and the space for development is vast. It is hoped that everyone can understand the painstaking efforts of Practitioner Su, practise with sincere and diligent effort, and work together with him to move forward. Skanda and other Dharma protectors will continue to stand guard by your side.

Namo Amituofo.
