The True Value of a Life Beyond Power
An Interview with the Spirit of Lee Kuan Yew
Recorded on August 17, 2018
This interview was recorded on August 17, 2018, featuring the spirit of the late Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew. Having sought deliverance through the compassionate guidance of the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, he now resides in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, where he continues his journey of purification and spiritual .
Lee Kuan Yew speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I was once a significant figure who led a nation, but upon arriving in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, I realised that such worldly status holds no value here. Instead, what is required is constant purification and the clearing of one's own heart. This is vastly different from the various disturbances and entanglements of the human world. The most magnificent aspect of this place is the ability to truly find oneself and witness the genuine transformation within one's own heart. My heart has become increasingly different, and I have discovered that the feeling of purity is truly wonderful. I had previously assumed that worldly power and status were everything. Comparing the past to the present, I now understand that all the life values I pursued in the past were, in the end, worthless. Now, although I possess nothing in the worldly sense, my heart feels truly priceless. It is terrifying to think that I did not understand this principle at all in the past, blindly pursuing and managing everything."
The Vision for Hsiang Kuang
"If I were still in the human world today, the first thing I would manage would be the leadership and development of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. I would listen to the Buddha's intent and elevate everything to an international level, ensuring that people all over the world could witness it. Although I am no longer in the world, I believe that a core figure will soon emerge to support and protect the , manifesting the great event of Namo Amituofo's arrival in the human world. People in the world are in dire need of the Buddha's teachings, but it must be the true Buddha Dharma. In the past, I did not quite understand these matters within Buddhism, but now that I am in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and have listened to many of Namo Amituofo's teachings, I have become much purer. Seeing the various affairs of the world, I have truly come to understand so much."
A Father's Hope for His Son
"I will continue to strive to find my son. I hope that while Hsien Loong is still in the world, he can do this one small thing for his father. It is also a father's selfish hope to help my son, Hsien Loong, find his true self; only then will his time in the world truly have meaning. This is a message of truth from a father, shared daily. I hope my children, upon seeing this, can understand. I am grateful for the of the Buddha. Namo Amituofo."
