The Truth and Falsehood of the Void

This is a record of an interview with Steve Jobs, who sought spiritual deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. He reflects upon the nature of the void and the illusion of the material world. This account was recorded by the disciple Shi Faxin on August 5, 2019.

Steve Jobs speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Steve Jobs. When I look out at the landscape before me, I see rolling mountains, winding rivers, and soft, drifting clouds. It appears to be a remarkably pleasant place, much like a bustling tourist destination filled with life. It is a place where families and couples often wander, enjoying the scenery. However, if you look closer at the undulating green hills, you will notice that from the hollows and crevices of the earth, plumes of white smoke emerge. Each puff of smoke represents a distinct, hidden space—a mysterious realm where some beings are actively using magic, while others are trapped, suffering under the influence of those very spells. Countless sentient beings are confined within these layers of space."

The Mechanics of Chao Du

"Through the power of Causal Conditions, many of those who share a karmic affinity with the fourfold assembly of disciples are brought here. During the morning deliverance sessions led by Practitioner Su, these hidden spaces are opened up. As the disciples broadcast the Buddha-name across the heavens, it provides the necessary strength to tear through the barriers of these realms. I watch as the spiritual deliverance is visualised reaching the furthest corners of the earth—the horizon, the hidden depths of the land—and the sentient beings there are constantly churning, their spirits restless. The mist and the fog are all manifestations of their desperate longing for Chao Du.

These beings, standing in rows, are gathered from every corner of time and space, manifesting here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia in the hope of receiving Chao Du. Celestial beings and asuras follow in their wake, crossing the boundaries of time and era, stretching out into the infinite. One could say that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is connected to every point in time and space, working to resolve the complex laws of karma and cause and effect, achieving breakthroughs that are infinitely layered."

The Illusion of the Self

"The transformation of these spatial layers occurs in the invisible realm, and the sheer volume of beings being saved is staggering. Imagine a flat plane; if you were to cut across it, you would find that the spaces contained within are boundless, each holding a different group of sentient beings. As the Buddha-name and the Buddha-light rise, they pierce through the sky. Boundless Dharma protectors descend, penetrating every corner, while the ancestral masters and venerable masters work in unison to lead these beings to safety. The scene of this Chao Du is truly vibrant and unprecedented.

Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body does not rest for a single moment. As the universe and the void rotate, I see the compassionate smile of Namo Amituofo before me. From the ancient past to the present, and into the future, this is the space within space. During these sessions, as sentient beings rise from the six realms of existence and the ten directions, I have come to realise what is a true body, what is a false body, and what is truly real."

The Universal Truth

"I have seen that everything in the void is so illusory, so transient. Yet, it is precisely within this illusion that we achieve the salvation of sentient beings, guiding them to be reborn in the Western Pure Land. This is the Universal Principle: that all things are born from a single thought of Goodness, and through good actions and diligent progress, we return to the Truth.
