The bitter winter brings down waves of cold rain, and a lone goose flies solitary through the vast sky. How can it bear to be separated from the flock? We watch and hope that the goose reaches its destination safely. In this human life, we arrive alone and we depart alone. No one is truly willing to accompany us on this final journey. Though the physical body must eventually be cast aside when our come to an end, the spirit continues its endless, solitary journey. We have travelled this path of samsara countless times, drifting through the six realms of rebirth without a home.
It is truly time to "see through" and "let go" of all worldly attachments. Lingering attachments only serve to bind us to the cycle of rebirth, keeping us trapped in suffering. Fortunately, we have encountered the warmth of the winter sun. This warmth transforms into the radiant Buddha-light, revealing a new chance for life. When we embrace this light, we find the strength to transcend our confusion.
Practitioner Su leads the masses, fearing no hardship. He takes on the suffering of others, his heart clear and bright, guiding us with unwavering resolve. The path to save beings and guide them to the of Ultimate Bliss is not easy. Who else can truly let go of the "self" and bear the burden for others? Leading the masses onto the path to reach the Western Land is the true practice of the Pure Land path. This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe, acting as the chief writer.
