This interview was recorded on June 6, 2018. The spirit of the late Singaporean Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, sought deliverance through the compassionate intervention of Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. Having reflected upon the karmic consequences of his political career and the broader implications of global influence, he now offers this cautionary message to those who hold significant power in the modern world.

Lee Kuan Yew speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Standing upon a podium to deliver theories and state policies was a scene I had long grown accustomed to. Even when looking out at the faces in the crowd—each with their own expressions, whether of agreement or dissent—I could always remain composed, enjoying the success that comes with holding supreme power. It is only now, with the clarity I possess, that I realise how often I inadvertently created during those years.

The Weight of Leadership and Responsibility

My authority was focused on Singapore, though I occasionally stepped onto the international stage. While my influence on global decision-making was not absolute, I was certainly afforded a degree of respect. I speak of these things now because I feel a cold sweat for Mr. Ma. Mr. Ma, whose business success is undeniable, operates a network platform that spans the entire globe. While many have benefited from the convenience he provides, one must also consider how many have been harmed in the process—whether through fraudulent transactions or the destructive cycle of shopping addiction. When the final account is settled, all of that karma is tallied and placed upon Mr. Ma’s shoulders.

The Inevitability of Cause and Effect

In my time, my primary concerns were the people, the civilians, and the nation. Yet, even with such intentions, the creation of sin and the subsequent retribution were unavoidable. Your initial motivation is undeniably important, but the positive and negative consequences that unfold during the process are things you cannot escape. Mr. Ma’s influence is even more vast and borderless than mine ever was; one can only imagine the negative impact that has manifested within his own being. His name is already inscribed in the registers of the hells. If not for the intervention of Practitioner Su, he would have already begun to suffer the full weight of his retribution.

A Path to Redemption

It is imperative that he makes contact with the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre as soon as possible to truly 'turn the page' on his karmic debt. His network platform could, if transformed, become a magnificent vehicle for spreading the Buddha’s teachings. Mr. Ma is a man of exceptional intelligence; he will surely understand the profound difference between these two paths. I offer these words of clarity to Mr. Ma. Namo Amituofo."

Recorded by the chief writer, disciple Shi Faxin.
