A Final Plea from the Spirit of Venerable Master Chin Kung
An Interview with the Spirit of Venerable Master Chin Kung
Recorded at the Western Dharma-Nature Land, November 23, 2022
This interview was conducted with the spirit of the late Venerable Master Chin Kung, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. Now residing in the , the Venerable Master shared this urgent message on November 23, 2022, to address his followers worldwide.
Venerable Master Chin Kung speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Today, Namo Amituofo has given me a topic: 'Speak to the followers across the nation and the world who have listened to the talks of Venerable Master Chin Kung.' The scope of this audience is vast. It encompasses every nation, including my birthplace of Anhui in China, and Australia, where the Pure Land societies and the Pure Land Learning College were established. This reach extends across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and beyond—covering all five continents of the world.
The Connection of Faith and Practice
In some countries, the scale of our work is significant, with multiple societies established to facilitate the learning of the Pure Land Dharma Gate. Some locations are well-equipped with Buddha-chanting halls, while others focus on the distribution of Dharma Jewels or the provision of courses. In any case, followers across the globe have cherished and supported my work, accepting the content of my lectures, and striving to put these teachings into practice. This connection has grown from a single point into a vast network, a concrete space of shared effort. Beyond listening to my lectures, the various activities and the acquisition of Dharma Jewels provided by these societies have been vital to the spiritual growth of every individual.
Regarding the for rebirth in the Western Pure Land—Faith, Vows, and Practice—we must pay close attention to the practice component. We must never lose sight of our ultimate goal: rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. There are tens of thousands of people worldwide who have listened to my teachings. I have been waiting for replies to the letters I sent out, and although there has been no response after they were sent or read aloud by Practitioner Su, my heart remains filled with gratitude. I am truly grateful! I am grateful to Namo Amituofo, to the followers worldwide who have supported me, to the monastics, lay practitioners, and volunteers, and especially to Practitioner Su and the fourfold assembly at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. It is only through the blessing of the Buddha's power at the Centre that my message can be transformed into text, allowing me this opportunity to speak with you all today.
The Truth of Cause and Effect
I have now departed the human world, and my physical body has been cremated, yielding sarira flowers and relics. Everyone was very happy about this, as it serves as a testament to my sixty years of diligent Dharma teaching in the human world, indicating that my words were true and trustworthy. The operation of cause and effect in this universe is impartial; good causes yield good fruits, and evil causes yield evil consequences. My sixty years of effort resulted in the manifestation of sarira, a sign of good . However, this does not mean that I did not make mistakes or speak incorrectly while I was alive. These actions also require retribution. Evil has evil consequences, and I could not escape them. The evil fruit I received was that at the moment of my passing, my chanting of the Buddha-name was interrupted. In that single moment of interruption, I was taken into the hells to suffer. It was a force I could not resist—the universal principle of cause and effect, the gravitational pull of retribution.
A Rescue from the Depths
Fortunately, among my students, there is one named Practitioner Su, who has realised her true nature and attained the . Together with Namo Amituofo, she rescued me from the hells, allowing me to escape that retribution. My spirit was suffering, and in that instant, the sound of the Buddha-name suddenly resonated within my heart and all around me: 'Namo Amituofo, Namo Amituofo, Namo Amituofo...' A beam of light shone down, leading me out of the hells. The hells are too painful—so painful that I did not even have the opportunity to gather my focus to chant a single complete Buddha-name. If I had not experienced this personally, it would be difficult to believe, and I would not be able to speak of it so clearly, sincerely, and earnestly.
Some might say, 'Venerable Master, why are you telling us this? We want to maintain the most beautiful image of you in our hearts; we do not want to know about the suffering you endured after your passing. We sincerely believe you must have attained rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss; you are the hope in our hearts. Now, a spirit claiming to be you tells us you went to the hells to suffer—how can we accept this? It is too hard to believe.' Indeed! Even I could not believe it myself, let alone you. But this event truly happened, and everyone must face it. Only by facing it can we solve the problem and perhaps open up another great path to rebirth in the Western Pure Land. If you continue to cover your eyes and block your ears, refusing to see or hear, the result may very well be that you fail to attain rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss in this lifetime. This is not me trying to alarm you; it is the conclusion I have reached based on what I have seen and heard since being rescued from the hells by Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and being placed in the Western Dharma-Nature Land of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
The Obstacles to Truth
In fact, shortly after I was rescued, I understood the causes and consequences of all this. Since arriving at the Western Dharma-Nature Land, I have participated in over fifty interviews at the Centre, which I hope you will all look up online. I have mentioned these matters in those interviews, but I have not received a response from you. There must be some obstacle in between. Perhaps it is as the followers' inner voices suggest: 'We do not believe this is the truth, and we do not want to believe it. We rely on what we have seen and heard. Who knows if it is really the spirit of the Venerable Master speaking to us now?' Therefore, Namo Amituofo knows, Practitioner Su knows, I know, the fourfold assembly of the Centre knows, Heaven knows, and Earth knows. As for those who see this text, are you willing to know? Or will some families who study Buddhism together lose their faith because of this? Whether you believe it or not, it has no impact on the truth of what has already occurred. The occurrence of facts does not cease to exist because one person more or less refuses to listen or believe. However, whether you can believe what I am about to say after hearing this will affect whether you, yourself, can attain rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss at the end of this lifetime—a matter of the utmost importance.
The Reason for My Suffering
Why did I fall into the hells? I have already explained this clearly many times in previous interviews, but there may be new listeners or followers who do not know, so I will mention it once more. The reason I fell into the hells is that I did not tell everyone about Namo Amituofo's presence at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, thereby obstructing the opportunity for others to draw close to Namo Amituofo and attain rebirth in the West! Furthermore, I failed to discern clearly and mistakenly accused Practitioner Su of using supernatural powers, excluding her from the Pure Land school. In fact, everything she does is the natural ability of one who has realised their true nature, and it is absolutely not the work of supernatural tricks or spiritual attachment. One who has realised their true nature and appears in the world should truly be respected and learned from by everyone. Her content in teaching the Dharma, her ability to resolve conflicts through the Dharma Body, and her ability to deliver sentient beings are all things I have witnessed with my own eyes here in the Western Dharma-Nature Land; they are real and not false. Her Dharma Body has already delivered immeasurable and boundless sentient beings from suffering to rebirth in the West or into the human and heavenly realms. Yet, because her actions were truly hard for the world to believe, I misunderstood her. Every time I mention this, I feel a deep sense of repentance from the bottom of my heart!
A Rare Opportunity for Humanity
Namo Amituofo coming to the human world is such a precious and rare event! The Buddha saw that everyone was scattered and failing to return to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, knowing that everyone was suffering too much, so He came down to save us. My spirit knew this before I passed away, but I had doubts in my heart and was even a little dissatisfied. If Namo Amituofo had truly descended, why did He not come to find me, but instead found Practitioner Su? Because of this, I foolishly covered up this matter—that is, I did not tell everyone. The consequences of this were too severe! If I had faced this with a positive attitude and told everyone, letting them know that Namo Amituofo is at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, how many people could have been saved? This is such a wonderful thing! Namo Amituofo can help everyone with so much—in all aspects of birth, aging, sickness, and death—He can help resolve conflicts, heal illnesses, and most importantly, lead everyone back to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Namo Amituofo has a deep affinity with all beings in the Dharma Realm and the void, and among them, the human beings on Earth in the worldly realm have the most . Because Namo Amituofo has come to the human world now, He is here to save everyone and lead them back to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Everyone should come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to see the Buddha with a heart of pilgrimage. In this way, you will have hope for rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I have been telling you this in the content of my previous interviews, but there has been no follow-up. I hope this time I can receive a response from you all.
A Call to Seek the Treasure
I appeal to followers across the nation and the world to come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to seek the treasure. The purpose of seeking this treasure is to enable you to discover Namo Amituofo, to help you heal your illnesses, and to attain rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I want to tell you that Namo Amituofo is truly at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre now, because I have seen the Buddha arrive; I see it clearly from the Western Dharma-Nature Land at the Centre. A spirit without a physical body is truly much lighter. Namo Amituofo radiates golden light throughout His entire body, His light is majestic and lofty, illuminating the entire temple, the sky, and the earth. All creatures are enveloped in the Buddha-light, just as parents care for their children, bringing them brightness and confidence, allowing the children to have the ability and faith to continue moving forward on the path of the human world and on the great road to rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. The Buddha is so compassionately standing by our side, cheering us on! Many followers do not believe this; it is indeed hard to believe, but the fact does not cease to exist just because you find it difficult to believe. Whether you believe it or not, Namo Amituofo is standing there with such , ready at any moment to receive beings into the West.
The Authenticity of the Buddha's Discourse
Namo Amituofo can provide teachings to everyone at any time, and these teachings currently need to be written down by the monastics at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to inform you. The Buddha, Namo Amituofo, cannot be faked. Namo Amituofo is the Universal Buddha; who would dare to impersonate Namo Amituofo? Furthermore, it is written in black and white, with 'Namo Amituofo's discourse' at the top. If it were not true, this would be a great falsehood, and the result would be falling into the Avici Hell.
Furthermore, in the spreading of the Dharma in the world, having someone who has realised their true nature come forward to lead everyone in studying and chanting the Buddha's name, and even cultivating future successors to realise their true nature—whether it is one person or two who have realised their true nature—is an extraordinary matter! Realising one's true nature and attaining Buddhahood is a great event, worthy of everyone's care and support, and it is the direction every practitioner should strive for in their heart.
The Path to Liberation
Come and see Namo Amituofo. The Buddha will help you heal your illnesses. The Buddha knows where the problems are in your body. But do you need medicine? Here, no medicine is needed; we simply invite the spirits. Because the causes of aging and illness are all accumulated from spiritual attachments and . These attachments and creditors are inside our bodies, accumulating deeper and deeper over time, making heavier and heavier. Many of them come to seek revenge or collect debts, and at the time of your passing, they emerge to obstruct you, preventing you from being reborn in the West.
I appeal once again to followers across the nation and the world to quickly come and draw close to Namo Amituofo. The Buddha can help you attain rebirth in the West, and you can also come here to draw close to true spiritual friends—those who have realised their true nature—who can pass on the process and experience of realising their true nature to everyone. This is what every practitioner dreams of! After realising your true nature, you can freely attain rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, saving yourself and saving others, delivering yourself and delivering others to rebirth in the West. Then this lifetime will not have been in vain, and your practice will have been a life well-lived.
Alright! My words to you all end here.
Namo Amituofo.
