Everyone naturally delights in seeing a joyful and serene face, yet who would willingly choose to look upon one filled with sorrow or worry? The reality is that our faces are manifestations of our internal states. This is the principle that appearance arises from the mind, a truth that no one can escape. It is a fundamental law of existence that our outer countenance serves as a mirror for our inner heart, reflecting the depth of our cultivation and the purity of our intentions.
When your heart is filled with , your face naturally radiates a gentle and kind expression, bringing comfort and peace to all who behold you. Conversely, when the fires of anger arise within you, your complexion darkens and your features harden into a look of fury, reflecting the turbulence within. Those who possess a vast mind-capacity face the world without fear, for their inner stability is unshakable, rooted in the wisdom of the . If you wish to change your appearance, you must first change your heart. When the heart is transformed, the external manifestation will inevitably follow suit, reflecting the beauty of a purified spirit.
The space within our eyes is infinitely vast; it is not limited to the mere physical sight of what is before us. We must work step by step to purify our very cells, cleansing them of the impurities accumulated over countless lifetimes of ignorance.
