Bearing the Weight of Awakening

How much weight can you bear in this life? How much responsibility can you carry? These are questions that every practitioner must ask themselves as they walk the path of the Buddha.

Unlocking the Infinite Potential of the True Self

Human beings possess infinite potential. You may view this potential as the inherent capability of your true self. During the process of purification, this innate power is revealed step by step, and your potential is gradually unleashed. This continues until you reach a state of absolute purity and goodness, where not even a trace of defilement remains. This is the moment of becoming an awakened being, where your potential is fully and perfectly expressed.

Using the term potential to explain the true self is a method that modern people can easily accept. This is because most people already have a cognitive understanding of what potential means. They know that everyone possesses hidden talents. When we say someone has untapped potential, we mean they have abilities that have yet to be discovered. However, many people have limited knowledge regarding their true self or their Buddha-nature. They may not even be aware that every single person possesses this original, inherent nature.

Bridging the Gap Through Buddhist Education

This is precisely why the propagation of the Buddha’s teachings is so essential. We must ensure that the opportunity for everyone to realise their true nature does not vanish into the darkness of ignorance. If we can diligently propagate the Dharma and promote Buddhist education, we can help others understand several vital truths:

• Everyone possesses an original, true self that is waiting to be uncovered.The human body is a precious vessel that allows us to engage in True Cultivation.By using this life to seek the truth, we can reclaim our original nature.

If we can guide more people toward becoming awakened beings, they will join the ranks of those who work to save the world. This will fundamentally change the state of our world.

The Responsibility of the Fourfold Assembly

When more beings awaken, the suffering of both humanity and the spirit realm beings will be greatly reduced. Consider the capabilities of the Dharma Body of Practitioner Su. Through this power, Practitioner Su has already saved immeasurable and boundless beings, helping them leave suffering behind. The number of spirit realm beings who have been saved is beyond calculation, and this work of Chao Du continues even now.

Just like Practitioner Su, the fourfold assembly of disciples must be prepared to shoulder this heavy responsibility. You are not walking this path alone. With the support and companionship of Namo Amituofo, the Teacher, and Practitioner Su, you have everything you need to succeed. The fourfold assembly, especially the monks and nuns, must have firm faith that you can achieve Awakening in this very life.
