Snow is a phenomenon we witness when winter arrives. When the temperature drops below freezing, the world often transforms into a breathtaking landscape of snow. The earth is draped in a pristine white garment, prompting people to bundle up in layers of warmth to protect themselves from the biting cold. Meanwhile, the creatures of the wild retreat into their burrows, huddling together to share the warmth of life. These scenes of winter leave an indelible mark upon the landscape and upon our own memories, serving as a reminder of the cyclical nature of existence.
When winter arrives, people often find themselves waiting in anticipation for the snow to fall. This is because we understand that once the winter snow melts, the vibrant life of spring is sure to follow. Those who long for the arrival of spring must first witness the snow covering the earth. Therefore, we must ask ourselves: does it truly matter if the snow arrives or not? Each outcome carries its own unique benefit, and we should learn to accept both with .
If the snow falls, we know that spring is drawing near. If the snow does not fall, the quiet stillness of winter continues for a while longer. Whether the snow comes or not, it is perfectly fine. We should use this period of winter to rest and reflect. Keep your heart calm and steady in the present moment, regardless of the external conditions. This is an excellent time for diligent practice, for cultivating the mind, and for refining your conduct. By maintaining this inner peace, you ensure that your progress on the path remains uninterrupted.
