Heart, Vows, and Actions Follow Amitabha, Spreading Throughout Space and the Dharma Realm
In the traditions of Chinese martial arts, there are masters who possess extraordinary lightness skills. They can fly over eaves and walk upon walls as if they were walking on flat ground. This ability, which appears almost like flight, allows them to accomplish tasks that would be impossible for an ordinary person. We can observe this phenomenon within the human body itself. Those who possess such skills must have a deep and solid foundation of training. Their spirit must also possess a high degree of sensitivity and alertness. When they perform these feats, their Six Roots—the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind—work in perfect unison, constantly assessing the environment and coordinating their movements to execute these incredible actions.
This is a state where and the spirit are utilised simultaneously. It means that the cells, muscles, and internal systems of the body have been trained to cooperate seamlessly during daily practice, allowing them to perform effectively when the moment of action arrives. This level of coordination is a testament to the potential hidden within our physical form when it is properly disciplined and aligned with the spirit.
For a practitioner who wishes to transform their karma, one must understand a fundamental truth: your vow power must be stronger than your karmic power. You must rely on your vows to guide your actions at every moment. If you are to avoid being pulled along by the heavy currents of your past karma, you must possess unwavering perseverance. Only through such determination can you successfully navigate the interference of your when they manifest before you. Only then will you have the genuine opportunity to transform your karma.
The Pure Land Gate is the ultimate shortcut for overcoming the interference of karmic creditors. This is because the power of the Buddha is present within this practice. The merit, virtue, and majestic power of have the capacity to transform the hearts of your karmic creditors. However, this only works if you have sincere faith and dedicate yourself to chanting the name of Namo Amituofo. Only when you truly rely on the Buddha can His power be applied, providing you with the precious opportunity to transform your karma and leave suffering behind.
While the ability to fly over eaves and walk on walls is a remarkable display of physical capability, we must understand its nature. If the person performing these feats is still a being bound by karma, then this ability is merely a skill within the realm of karma. Consequently, such a person is still a being trapped in the cycle of rebirth. However, when a practitioner undergoes purification, transforms their karma, and realises their true nature, their physical body and their Six Roots naturally manifest the capabilities of one who has awakened. This is a natural manifestation of the original nature.
Consider the example of Practitioner Su. His ability to perform through his , his remarkably sharp and sensitive awareness even at the age of eighty, and his ability to see through the illusions of this world are all examples of these natural, awakened powers. For one who has realised their true nature, the spirit is no longer obstructed by the limitations of the physical body. Their sensitivity and awareness are far more acute than those of an ordinary spirit, and their lightness is swifter than any physical feat.
The capabilities of Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body and his countless manifestations are the actions of an awakened spirit dedicated to saving the world and rescuing all beings. These actions are faster than any martial artist flying over walls; they are as swift as a sudden, rushing wind. The heart of an awakened being, filled with the desire to save all beings, combined with a body that has been purified to the highest level of Goodness, knows no fear of hardship. They are fully committed to the noble task of saving the world and rescuing all beings from the cycle of rebirth.
