The Symbolism of Infinite Vitality

The imagery of fragrant grass reaching the sky serves as a powerful metaphor for the boundless potential of life. It symbolises a lush, verdant landscape that stretches endlessly to meet the horizon. This vast, unbroken expanse of green represents a state of flourishing prosperity and infinite vitality. When you gaze upon such a vibrant landscape, you are witnessing a manifestation of hope. It is the result of seeds sown in the past or roots that have remained dormant, waiting for the right conditions to emerge. Through the nourishment of sunlight and rain, these seeds transform into a thriving, verdant field.

The Hidden Spirituality of Nature

It is essential to realise that the green earth, the warm sunlight, and the life-giving rain are not merely inanimate objects. They are all earthly creatures, and each possesses its own unique spirituality. They are part of the vast collective of sentient beings. Every blade of grass and every drop of water possesses the same original nature as all other beings. Because they possess this true self, they too have the potential to attain Buddhahood. However, as they exist now, trapped in the form of earthly creatures, where has their true self gone? It has been obscured and covered by layers of karmic veils.

The Tragedy of the Endless Cycle

Consider the impermanence of this world. The fragrant grass and the green fields will eventually wither and reach the end of their life cycle. Even the rain, once it falls, returns to the earth. When these beings pass away, where does their spirit go? If they do not find the right path, they will be drawn back into the cycle of rebirth within the earthly realm. They may remain trapped in this state for hundreds, thousands, or even millions of years, with no end in sight. This is the profound suffering of those who are lost in the cycle of samsara, unable to find their way back to their true self.

The Path of Deliverance

The space within this world is filled with immeasurable and boundless spirits who are currently suffering. However, there is hope. Through the Dharma Body of Practitioner Su, these spirits can be saved. By invoking the holy name of Namo Amituofo, the space is opened up, allowing these trapped spirits to be released from their confinement. Once they are freed, they can receive the benefit of Chao Du and find their way to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is the compassionate work of the Buddha, ensuring that no being is left behind in the darkness. Namo Amituofo.
