Heart, Vows, and Actions Follow Amitabha, Spreading Throughout Space and the Dharma Realm
How can one truly perfect the Buddha-way? This is a question that every sincere practitioner must contemplate. To reach this ultimate goal, one must engage deeply with the six paramitas—the six perfections that guide our spiritual journey. These are Generosity (Giving), Discipline (), Patience (Endurance), Diligent Practice, Meditation (Concentration), and Wisdom (Prajna). When these are practised with a heart of absolute sincerity, they become the foundation of our conduct and the catalyst for our .
To truly perfect these six paramitas, one must cultivate a state of mind that is entirely selfless and free from the illusion of a separate self. When you can practise each of these perfections without a single trace of selfishness, you will find that your practice becomes complete. There will be no gaps, no deficiencies, and no areas left unrefined. As your practice reaches this level of perfection, your spirit will naturally elevate, allowing you to transcend the ordinary and enter the sublime realm of the Buddhas.
Throughout the process of your practice, you will inevitably encounter various obstacles. Whether these challenges manifest as the ripening of your own past karma or as the compassionate act of taking on the suffering of other beings, you must learn to face them with unwavering courage. Do not shy away from these moments. Instead, accept them directly and take full responsibility for your journey. It is essential to understand that these experiences are illusory; they are like passing clouds. If you can maintain this clarity, you will not be deceived or led astray by the shifting scenes of the material world.
Ultimately, the responsibility for this transformation rests upon your own shoulders. You must be the one to walk the path, to refine your heart, and to purify your mind. However, in the Gate, we are blessed with a unique advantage: the support of two powerful forces working in unison. This is the combination of your own diligent practice and the infinite, compassionate power of .
The first step in this dual reliance is to develop a deep, unshakable faith in Namo Amituofo. You must harbour no doubts, for doubt is the barrier that prevents the Buddha's light from fully illuminating your heart. As you engage in your own fierce and diligent practice, you will find that the power of Namo Amituofo provides the necessary support to dissolve the many obstacles that stand in your way. Through this divine protection, you are shielded from the interference and harm of negative influences, allowing you to focus entirely on your spiritual growth. This is the supreme and grace that our Buddha, Namo Amituofo, bestows upon all suffering beings.
The vastness of the Dharma Realm is beyond our limited comprehension. It is boundless and infinite. Regardless of where you are or what your circumstances may be, as long as you can sincerely chant the name of Namo Amituofo, you will receive the Buddha's blessing and assistance. This is the manifestation of the great ability, the great power, the great vows, and the great compassionate force of Namo Amituofo, who resides within the very fabric of the Dharma Realm.
At this very moment, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Namo Amituofo is truly residing here. For the fourfold assembly of disciples, this is a rare and precious opportunity. You are able to receive the direct support of the Buddha's power and the illumination of the Buddha-light. This is truly a tremendous blessing! You should cherish this environment, practise with renewed diligence to see your true nature, and strive to perfect the Buddha-way as soon as possible. Namo Amituofo.
