Bearing the Suffering of All Beings at All Times, Thus Inviting the Presence of Amitabha Buddha
Heart, Vows, and Actions Follow Amitabha, Spreading Throughout Space and the Dharma Realm
When we lose our heart and stray onto the wrong path, we lose our direction and descend into the darkness of ignorance. This is a state of profound suffering, a dead end where there seems to be no exit. We find ourselves lost in the cycle of rebirth, drifting aimlessly without a place to call home. In this state of confusion, we often forget the days of our original innocence. We forget the purity of our true nature, which has now been covered by layer upon layer of karmic dust and worldly defilement. We may ask ourselves, how can we ever return to who we once were? We may even feel foolish, laughing at our own suffering while asking questions that seem to have no answers.
Just as we are lost in this deep, dark confusion, a sound suddenly resonates through the void. It is the sacred sound of . As this name is chanted, it pierces through the silence and strikes directly into the heart. It is like a compassionate father calling out to his wandering child, urging them to return home. Tears begin to well up in our eyes, yet we dare not let them fall, for the sheer intensity of this moment is enough to startle us into awareness. We realise, with a sudden and overwhelming clarity, that Namo Amituofo has always known us. Even when we were lost, even when we had forgotten our own true nature, the Buddha never forgot us.
We once possessed a precious, childlike heart, yet now we find ourselves covered in the darkness of our own making. We have walked a path of confusion, and our spirits are covered in wounds. Despite this, Namo Amituofo does not reject us. The Buddha does not turn away from our stains or our past mistakes. Instead, the Buddha continues to call us back with the gentle, persistent rhythm of the Buddha-name. We are filled with gratitude for this boundless compassion. We are also deeply grateful to Practitioner Su for opening the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, providing a sanctuary where this light can shine.
The wandering child has finally turned back. The time for hesitation is over. We must hasten our return to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, where we can immerse ourselves in the and continue our journey of purification. By chanting Namo Amituofo, we align ourselves with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. We leave behind the confusion of the past and step firmly onto the path of . This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
