Many people in this world are lost, yet they remain unaware of their own delusion. They continue to walk along a path of confusion, pressing forward without realising that they have strayed from the right way. It is only when they have wandered deep into the darkness that they finally recognise they have entered a place of great danger. However, if one can find a bright lamp to guide them, they can emerge from these perilous paths. To find such a light is the very moment that one begins to be saved.
Many people only realise they have taken the wrong path after they have already walked deep into the shadows. If you wish to find the bright lamp and leave the dark road behind, you must examine whether you possess the necessary foundations. To encounter the true , one must have the following: good roots, which are the inherent capacity and past merit to recognise and accept the truth; , which are the accumulation of positive actions that allow one to encounter the teachings of ; and the causal conditions, which are the ripening of circumstances that bring a practitioner to the right place at the right time to receive guidance.
There are many moments in life when the weight of the world becomes overwhelming. It is often in these times of profound struggle that the heart truly yearns for a guiding light. People seek salvation when they are faced with deep disappointment, despair, or a sense of having no hope left; when they are surrounded by crises, traps, or feel as though they are under siege from all sides; when their heart is filled with anxiety, restlessness, or overwhelming fear; when they are suffering from life-threatening illness or chronic pain; or when they are caught in the inevitable cycle of birth, ageing, sickness, and death, where they feel they have no control over their own destiny.
In these moments of darkness, the presence of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su serves as the bright lamp that suffering sentient beings are searching for. During the , immeasurable and boundless sentient beings come forward to seek the help of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. They come to receive , the spiritual deliverance that allows them to leave suffering behind and be reborn in the of Ultimate Bliss.
The Dharma assembly held today is a beacon of hope. It is a sacred opportunity for all who attend to turn towards the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is the time for liberation, the time to finally leave suffering behind and step into the light of the Buddha's infinite . May all beings find their way home to the Western Pure Land.
