The True Meaning of Rebirth
What is the true trace of rebirth? Have you truly fulfilled your vows? Do you truly understand the destination to which you are heading? Many practitioners speak of rebirth, yet few truly grasp the profound reality behind these words. The of Ultimate Bliss is a realm of pure lotus blossoms, a destination that requires a firm and unwavering aspiration. It is the broad, magnificent path that all beings should strive to walk.
If you do not understand how to liberate yourself, how can you reach the pure lotus grounds? You must cultivate the six-character name of Namo Amituofo within your heart with absolute focus. This is not merely a verbal exercise; it is the nourishment of your very soul.
The Profound Practice of Silent Chanting
To chant is to know; to know is to chant. When you reach the state where your chanting becomes silent, you have entered a realm of supreme wonder. In this silence, the magnificent colours of the lotus flowers manifest. You may ask, how does the Buddha appear without a physical body, yet remain present in his entirety? The answer lies in the heart that is free from all wandering thoughts. When your mind is empty of attachments, the Buddha is naturally present.
- The Practice of Chanting: It is the fundamental daily lesson for every practitioner.
- The State of Silence: It is the ultimate refinement of the mind, where the distinction between the chanter and the Buddha dissolves.
- The Manifestation of Wisdom: It is the result of persistent, sincere, and focused practice.
The Responsibility of the Sangha and Practitioners
Many people know of the practice of chanting for rebirth, but few truly understand the essence of the Buddha's nature. They mistake the false for the true, and the worldly dust for the . I have come again to perform the work of , to guide beings toward rebirth. I am the one who leads this great ceremony of Chao Du, helping souls return to the light of life.
To all the great Venerables and practitioners, you must listen to my words. You must act in accordance with the Dharma and dedicate your lives to spreading the teachings of the West. For the sake of the future, so that all may ascend to the higher lotus grades, you must fulfil my intent. You must praise the Tathagata and share the benefits of the Dharma of Namo Amituofo. Let your sincerity shine through, for it is the foundation upon which all beings may achieve rebirth.
A Unified Path for All Beings
We hold many ceremonies, but they are all for the sake of the beings. When your practice aligns with the reality of the Dharma, the path is truly established. The world is filled with suffering; you must stop wandering in the darkness. From this moment forward, look upward and commit yourself to the path of the sages, leaving behind the pursuit of worldly knowledge.
For the sake of all beings, praise Namo Amituofo. When the era of Namo Amituofo flourishes, the suffering of the Three Evil Realms will be resolved. All disciples of the Buddha, listen to my intent: for the sake of the future of all beings, you must make the vow to reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is the ultimate truth, the true way to cleanse the dust of the world. All deluded must be dissolved; this is the true understanding.
Spread the Dharma with great strength and maintain a vast mind-capacity. Whether you are a monastic or a layperson, we are all members of one family. Let us raise the great sail of the Dharma and navigate directly toward the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Let us set forth for the West immediately.
