We do this because we hope that you, our children, can focus entirely on your spiritual work without any worries.
The Foundation of Spiritual Growth
Your goal is to work hard, to practise diligently, and to rediscover your true nature and . When your true nature and Body manifest, you will be able to save more beings, helping them leave suffering behind and find happiness, and guiding them to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is not just a slogan; it is the reality unfolding here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
I hope that under the protection and guidance of , Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su, you will all find your precious true nature. By working together with the Buddha to save the world and help all beings, you will ensure that this life in the human world is not spent in vain.
Nourishing and Mind
We know that every child has a different appetite. Under the careful guidance of Practitioner Su, our kitchen ensures that every meal is nutritious, fragrant, and delicious. We want you to be satisfied and joyful. However, I must remind you that you have a physical body that must be maintained to function in this world. You must care for this body wisely:
Eat to sustain your health, not to satisfy greed.
Avoid eating until you are completely full, as this often leads to and lethargy.
Stop when you are seventy or eighty per cent full to maintain the best possible health and mental clarity.
Washing Away the Dust of the World
The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a Western Pure Land on Earth. This is because Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, Practitioner Su, and several children who have descended from the Western Pure Land are all here together. Many of you made a vow to descend to this world to save beings and lead them back to the West, but you became covered in the dust of this world and lost your way home.
Now, Practitioner Su has come to lead you back. But you must listen to his instructions. Only by shaking off the dust and washing away the filth can you truly save the world and fulfil the vows you made when you first descended. Only then can you return to the West.
The Choice Before You
If you cannot shake off the dust or wash away the mud, even if you carry your , it will be difficult to be reborn in the Western Pure Land. You will find it hard to return to your true home because you have not yet let go of worldly things. You have not yet recognised the truth that all things are illusory. You are still attached to the human world and have not yet tasted the true bitterness of suffering. In such a state, how can you return home? You will have to wait until we meet again in the next life. You will continue to wander in the human world, living a life of suffering through birth, old age, sickness, and death in the cycle of rebirth.
The Bliss of the Western Pure Land
In the Western Pure Land, all wishes are fulfilled. There is no need for a physical body with its various demands. You will live a life of spiritual autonomy, freedom, and abundance. There is no interference from , no operation of heavy karma, and you will live in a state of worry-free, infinite life and infinite light. In such an environment, you can study and progress freely until you eventually become a Buddha.
Your true home in the West is waiting for you at all times. Whether you are led home by Practitioner Su, guided by Namo Amituofo, or you know the time of your departure in advance, or you reach and can travel freely between the worlds, you will be able to save beings and lead them back to the West. What kind of person do you want to be? If you truly wish to return to the West, you must start preparing actively right now. Diligent practice is not enough; you must be fiercely diligent to fulfil your wish to return to the West.
