Bearing the Suffering of All Beings at All Times, Thus Inviting the Presence of Amitabha Buddha
Heart, Vows, and Actions Follow Amitabha, Spreading Throughout Space and the Dharma Realm
Knots of the heart are easily tied, yet notoriously difficult to untie. Time and again, we find that even after we believe we have resolved a conflict or let go of a grievance, we inadvertently tie the knot once more. This cycle of attachment and release is a common struggle for many. We must recognise that these knots are not merely emotional; they are deeply rooted in our .
Do not look back at the past. Dwelling on memories only serves to create more knots, as these reflections are often entangled with the karma that binds us to the cycle of rebirth. Why disturb the still, pure lake of your mind with the ripples of past grievances? When your heart is free of these knots, there is nothing left to untie. Your mind will become clear, luminous, and perfectly at peace, allowing you to see your true nature with absolute clarity.
If you find that you have knots within your heart, you must untie them immediately. Do not let them linger from one day to the next, for time is precious. Throughout history, how many knots have remained unresolved, sinking deeper and deeper into the bottom of the heart? If you do not untie these knots now, in this very moment, when do you intend to do so? Every layer of these heart-knots acts as a barrier, obstructing the awakened being. Heart clear and pure, one will see their true nature.
To achieve a state of purity and clarity, you must hold firmly to the sacred name of Amitabha. When you chant with sincerity, the Buddha-heart and the Buddha-vow will be with you always, providing unwavering support. The compassion of Namo Amituofo is truly infinite and boundless. It is this very compassion that possesses the power to untie thousands of knots and transform the myriad entanglements of your life. By relying on this supreme path, you can leave suffering behind and find true happiness. This teaching was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
