Venerable Chang Ren, a dedicated monastic at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, shares profound insights into the spiritual dimensions of our environmental crisis and the transformative power of . This interview, recorded on January 6, 2023, explores how the compassionate efforts of Practitioner Su provide salvation to suffering spirits and restore harmony to the natural world.

Venerable Chang Ren speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Within the spaces of this Earth that remain invisible to the human eye, there are countless spirits crying out for help. They are suffering immensely, trapped in dimensions from which they cannot escape. They endure torment and agony day after day, with no end in sight. It is a cycle of suffering that seems to have no hope of resolution.

The Hidden Cost of Human Progress

Humanity's relentless destruction of the Earth has led to rising temperatures, melting ice caps, and rising sea levels. Places that were once solid land are now being submerged by the ocean. In the invisible realms, countless creatures and spirits have been harmed by this. It is not just humans who suffer; the animals and all living beings that share this planet are caught in the same catastrophe.

These injured spirits remain trapped in these spaces. Many of them harbour deep resentment toward humanity. Because of human selfishness—our desire for convenience and a higher quality of life—we have continuously researched and manufactured, sacrificing the Earth and causing irreparable damage to our home. They see what we have done, and they feel the weight of our choices.

The Cry for Deliverance

Under normal circumstances, these spirits trapped in these dimensions would have no opportunity to leave. However, our compassionate Practitioner Su—who possesses countless manifestations—has become their only hope. These spirits have proactively sought Chao Du from her. They cry out, they scream, and they beg for her to help them find liberation. When Practitioner Su feels their presence in her own body, they are able to receive this deliverance and finally be saved.

Within the melting ice caps, many animals have reached the brink of extinction or have been completely wiped out. Much of this is due to the environmental destruction caused by humans, leaving them with nowhere to survive. These animals and living creatures are also calling out for help. It is a chorus of suffering that echoes through the unseen realms.

Restoring the Balance of Nature

The cries for help are rising from every corner. Practitioner Su, in her infinite , provides salvation. Wherever there is a spirit in need of rescue, one of her manifestations will go to save them, helping them escape their trapped spaces so they can leave their suffering behind as soon as possible.

Right now, here on the land of Australia, we can witness the tangible results of this Chao Du. The seasons, which were once chaotic and unpredictable, are returning to their natural order. It is cold when it should be cold, and warm when it should be warm. This is how the world was originally intended to be. All of this is because Practitioner Su performs Chao Du here every single day. As the spirits in these spaces are saved and guided away—regardless of whether they were filled with suffering or hatred—the space is restored to a state of purity. Only then can the seasons return to their natural, harmonious rhythm.

A Call to Faith and Practice

Through the work of Chao Du, disasters can be mitigated. Spirits who were once trapped in agony are finally liberated and no longer have to suffer. Humanity should truly take refuge in the Buddha, practise chanting Namo Amituofo, and work to save ourselves while delivering other beings. Let us all strive to leave suffering behind and attain liberation together.

Namo Amituofo."
