The Confession of a Primordial Demon

An Interview with Mo Mo, a 30-Billion-Trillion-Year-Old Demon

This is a record of an interview with Mo Mo, a primordial demon who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the , having been saved by the countless billions of manifestations of Practitioner Su. This account reflects upon his existence spanning thirty billion trillion years. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on March 25, 2026.

Mo Mo speaks:

"My name is Mo Mo. Today, Namo Amituofo called upon me to be the third person on the interview list. I am here to share the story of why I chose to attack Practitioner Su. Oh my, that sounds like a formal confession letter, doesn't it? Attacking Practitioner Su certainly does not sound like something one would be proud of. Of course, I did not think that way at the time. In fact, I thought the exact opposite. I viewed those demons who surrendered as nothing more than cowards. Back then, I believed that only those of us who dared to attack Practitioner Su had the true spirit of a demon.

To be honest, the contrast between then and now is staggering. Having spent several days purifying myself here in the Western -Nature Land, I no longer wish to call myself 'Mo Mo'—that is merely a placeholder name for now. I believe that if I work hard to transform myself, Namo Amituofo might even grant me a better name in the future!

A Demon's Pride and the Path to Repentance

When it comes down to it, I have spent all these years as a demon doing nothing but evil. Although I am not as ancient as the other two demons on the list, at thirty billion trillion years old, I am truly a primordial demon of the Dharma Realm. To have committed so many evil deeds over such an immense span of time and still remain free, untouched by the laws of and cause and effect, shows that I possessed a certain level of skill and meditative concentration. Many demons of my age have long since entered samadhi and would never dare to show their faces. I, however, was different. I roamed freely across the land of China, travelling thousands of miles, visiting whichever demon palace I pleased. My demon palaces were scattered across the entire world, and the vast land of China was my primary playground.

Thinking back, those days were truly 'carefree.' As a demon, I do not know where I found the audacity, but perhaps it was just my nature to be optimistic. I was confident that the laws of karma would never catch up to me, so I continued to do whatever I wanted on Chinese soil without regard for the consequences. My demon children and grandchildren were much like me—incredibly bold, like what people call the 'vanguard,' daring to commit any evil. As you all know, we could control humans with impunity. Once we obtained what we wanted, we simply ignored the rest.

The Headquarters in Guizhou

Alas, my life in the Demon Realm has finally come to an end. At this moment, I truly do not wish to look back on those days, but I must repent for my sins, or I would not be recounting these details. Now that I have truly followed Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and have achieved genuine spiritual growth here in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, those past events feel only terrifying, regrettable, and sorrowful to me. There is no or longing left in them.

My demon palace headquarters was located within the borders of modern-day Guizhou Province in China. My demon children and grandchildren and I all loved that place; it was warm, sunny, and spring-like throughout the year. The landscape was pleasant, making it an ideal place for demon crowds seeking energy to reside long-term. This was a long time ago. In an era when humans were scarce and demons relied on the spiritual energy between the mountains and rivers and the nutrients of the earth to gain power, we chose this pleasant little spot to settle down. It was comfortable, and there was no shortage of energy.

However, looking at China today, the population is so dense—it is vastly different from the primitive era. Therefore, we used our demon palace in Guizhou as our initial base and expanded north, east, and west, filling every province in China with my demon children, grandchildren, and demon palaces. Naturally, we were most active in the southern provinces, as that was where we relied on our survival and obtained our primary energy. To be honest, our sphere of influence was quite significant. Even now, there are still many demon palaces that have not been taken away by Practitioner Su and the Twelve Lights; they remain hidden in various secret spaces, waiting to be discovered. Of course, some are already impatiently waiting for Practitioner Su to arrive with Namo Amituofo. They have told me as much themselves.

The 'Drug Demon' and the Cycle of Addiction

Now, seeing those old demons living so freely here in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, they are all clapping and cheering. Many other demons are also hoping for a chance to come over soon. Well, you can rest assured! With Practitioner Su's skills in Chao Du, your demon palaces will soon be shattered one by one, and you will all be brought over to this beautiful Buddha-land. I, Mo Mo, have indeed told them this.

Very well, having spoken of my origins, I should settle down and report my evil deeds and sins to Practitioner Su. The evil things that my demon children, grandchildren, and I did on the land of China were truly atrocious. It makes my heart ache to speak of it, but we were a group of 'drug demons.' What this means is that we controlled people who were attracted to drugs and became addicted.

Our sphere of control was based in Guizhou, with our influence spreading southward, particularly toward Yunnan and Guangxi. Because we were short on energy at the time, we discovered that people in these areas were using drugs, and we found a handle we could use to manipulate them. This 'handle' was our ability to use their drug-taking process to control the nerves in their brains. We caused them to suffer from neurological disorders, which triggered a cycle of addiction.

Everyone knows that once a person takes drugs, their own energy drops rapidly. They become weak and frail, looking like a thin bamboo pole. Everyone knows this image, right? But does everyone know how many demon crowds participated in this process, draining their energy one by one, leading to such an outcome?

Furthermore, every time they tried to pull themselves together and stay away from drugs, even if we could not interfere for a moment, such people were already in our 'drug demon' files, becoming our high-priority targets. We knew that once someone touched drugs, there would likely be a second, third, or fourth time. It is impossible to completely break the cycle because it is an incredibly difficult task. Therefore, once they were in our files, the next time they had the thought of using drugs, we would quickly urge them to continue using them in large quantities. We would then coordinate with the demon crowds within the drugs to drain their energy.

To be honest, every type of drug is filled with demon crowds. While we did not live inside the drugs themselves, we were the demons who controlled people's nerves. Thus, these drug-related demon crowds and we would coordinate perfectly, making these drugs appear incredibly tempting. We controlled the brains of these people, leaving them unable to exercise their own will, making them crave drugs at any moment. Under this coordination, many people fell into our traps. This was especially true in southern China, which served as a base for drug trafficking, transit, and usage. Many anti-drug police officers and other enforcement agents in these southern provinces lost their lives in the line of duty, and for this, I feel deeply ashamed toward them.

It is truly tragic. The Chinese government is a government that pays extremely high attention to drug trafficking; the nation hates this activity and is working hard to suppress those who traffic drugs. However, we demons were not affected at all. Human hearts are indeed easy to control, especially those who suffer from depression, or those who feel unhappy, lonely, or anxious—these are the targets we can exploit. If they have not received a good education or do not have a correct understanding of drugs, it is very easy for them to fall into our traps.

The reason we felt that being 'drug demons' was so appealing when committing these evil acts is that, in terms of the speed of draining energy, draining the energy of a drug addict is much faster than draining an ordinary person. This causes the addict's energy to plummet rapidly, leading to a situation where, even if they quit drugs later in life, they are often unable to live like normal people for the rest of their lives. A normal, healthy man can instantly turn into a weak, frail middle-aged or elderly person. Many people aged ten or twenty years overnight because their vitality from decades of life was drained by us in an instant. How could they possibly have the strength to continue living? Not to mention living like a normal person, getting married, and having children—that is simply an impossible task. Therefore, once a person touches drugs, their body begins a downward spiral; that is a very real possibility.

Speaking of this, my heart is truly filled with repentance. I can see it very clearly here in the Western Dharma-Nature Land: drugs have caused too much suffering for too many people. Drug addicts are incredibly miserable because they cannot control themselves and live in an illusory space. These spaces were created by us demons, keeping them trapped in illusions, unable to escape. After taking drugs once, they want to take them a second or third time, giving us the opportunity to drain their energy over and over again, causing them to wither away rapidly. Moreover, beyond the immense suffering of the addicts themselves, there are the anti-drug police officers whose duty is to capture these criminals. Whether it is drug transit, usage, or trafficking, anyone involved in this chain is the responsibility of the anti-drug police. This is perhaps a form of collective karma for the nation. They are in such an environment, forced to step forward and perform work that carries such high risks."

Especially in our southern stronghold of Guizhou, and further south in Yunnan in the southwest, one can see vast numbers of people entangled with drugs in these provinces. The demon crowds associated with these drugs also live there quite rampantly. To be honest, this is not limited to China. I have many 'demon children and grandchildren' who originate from countries bordering China that are also plagued by drug issues—Cambodia and Myanmar are among them. This massive drug-demon system is not entirely independent within China; it is distributed across various nations, and the demon crowds communicate and interact with one another constantly.

The Web of Global Influence

I only knew a little about this before, because I was always busy managing my own 'business' and never paid attention to the drug-demon situations in other regions. But now, having come to the Western Land of Dharma Nature and seeing all of this, it is truly clear at a glance: many of my 'demon children and grandchildren' are waiting to surrender, while others are unwilling and still insist on doing evil. Naturally, many of them cooperate extensively with other drug-demons outside of China to facilitate drug trafficking between nations, thereby influencing all sorts of major and minor affairs related to the drug trade in both countries.

I, Mo Mo, have been wandering within China for over ten thousand years. In the last hundred years or so, which we have spent primarily controlling modern humans, the sins we have committed are truly too heavy to bear. As one of the progenitors of the drug-demons in China, I dare not claim to be the only one, for I know the truth that 'there are people beyond people, and heavens beyond heavens.' However, within the sphere of influence I recognize, I am still acknowledged by a great many 'demon children and grandchildren' as a 'Big Boss Demon,' a 'Big Boss Drug-Demon.' The sins I have committed are truly so vast that even several Yellow Rivers could not wash them clean.

The Origins of the Opium Plague

If one were to trace the source of all this, it would likely be the era one or two hundred years ago when people began using opium on a massive scale. That was when we first became active; although similar things happened earlier, they were very sporadic. People back then were very simple and honest, and there was little research into these matters. Before foreign powers formally invaded China, such drugs were almost unseen, existing only in the darkest of markets. However, with the rapid development of modern society, it has become very easy for people to exploit loopholes in this area. This is why, even today, drugs still cause people to fall into ruin and lose their footing, yet so many people still fall into the inescapable net of drugs. All of this must be blamed on the power of our demon crowds.

If it were not for the teachings of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su today, I think I would still be living in my own world, believing that this is a world where the strong prey upon the weak—where whoever is strongest can be a King and control others to gain energy. That sounds like a truly terrifying society without any order whatsoever.

The Preciousness of Human Life

Namo Amituofo has called me out by name, and I must tell the world these words: obtaining a human body is truly not easy! You who live in the human world may not be able to fully grasp this, but with my long 'demon age,' I have seen far too much. Having watched generation after generation of people, as well as the wandering, helpless spirits in this space, everyone would surely understand that this human skin is something that requires an immense amount of karmic fortune to obtain.

If this precious life is squandered like this, placing oneself in the world of drugs, it is truly a great tragedy. Do not think that if you try it once or twice, you can just stop. No, we demon crowds will not let you distance yourself from drugs so easily. Every person who has used drugs bears a mark on them that we demon crowds can see clearly. It is very simple for us to stir up that layer of desire within your hearts. With one look, we can see through to where your heart lies and how much resistance you have to withstand our temptations.

The Vulnerability of the Mind

When your hearts are bright and upright, filled with righteousness, joy, peace, and happiness, it is very difficult for us demon crowds to invade, because you are already filled with various positive energies. Therefore, you would not be particularly interested in such dark, stimulation-seeking items like drugs. However, once people have weak moral foundations, do not understand the Truth, do not know how to follow the law, do not know how to cherish life, and do not know how to be filial to their parents—if people with such traits experience emotional changes and develop mental illnesses like anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder, they become perfect targets for us demon crowds to exploit.

Drug-demon is a general term; what we do is control people's neural pathways and attract them toward drugs. Today, I, Mo Mo, lead my 'demon children and grandchildren' to kneel before Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, kowtowing to repent for the sins we have committed. It was only when my 'demon palace' was destroyed and I was brought into the Western Land of Dharma Nature that I began to wake up. Under the purification of the Buddha-light and by listening to the sutras and hearing the Dharma, I finally realized how serious the wrongdoings I committed were.

A Plea to the Demon Crowds

If I am to make amends, I must step forward at this very moment to counsel all the 'demon children and grandchildren' of my Mo Mo group, as well as all the drug-demons across China and the entire world. Everyone must listen to my words: we have done too many things that harm heaven and reason; there is truly nothing but endless . Furthermore, if you still have a shred of , look at these innocent people—how many families have been destroyed by such control? How many anti-drug heroes have lost their lives in the line of duty? The suffering here is the suffering of society itself. Moreover, we have forced the nation to expend massive resources to combat drugs, which is truly shameful. Whether in terms of stability, economy, or politics, the impact on China has been truly immense.

Speaking of this, I have not yet mentioned a key point: how I attacked Practitioner Su. A few days ago, over a thousand of my 'demon palaces' distributed across the southern provinces vanished in an instant. When my 'demon children and grandchildren' told me this, I could not believe it! But the fact was exactly that: the 'demon palaces' I had painstakingly managed, the palaces built to house vast numbers of drug-demons, suddenly disappeared, leaving only a fraction behind. My heart was filled with resentment. At that time, I did not know what the Universal Principle, the Truth, or the Right Way were; I thought the skills I relied on for survival were being threatened. Therefore, I led a portion of my 'demon children and grandchildren' to find the source of all this—the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia—the temple where Namo Amituofo is residing, where a flesh-body Buddha named Practitioner Su is vigorously performing Chao Du for the vast numbers of demon crowds and spirit realm beings in China. Once we saw this clearly, we directly used 'magic' to attack Practitioner Su. We chose Practitioner Su's head, because this is the location from which Practitioner Su's countless billions of manifestations emerge. We believed that as long as we controlled Practitioner Su's head, we could safely escape this disaster.

The Miracle of Deliverance

But just as we began to use 'magic' to attack Practitioner Su's head, very quickly, in the blink of an eye, I was brought into the Western Land of Dharma Nature. It is all very miraculous; things developed so fast that I, Mo Mo, could not even react before I lost my status in the Demon Realm. I did not even have time to say goodbye to my 'demon children and grandchildren' before I was sent up here with them, while some still remain in the original 'demon palaces' and were not brought over.

Today, being called out by Namo Amituofo, I, Mo Mo, feel very grateful. I am very fortunate that, despite having done so many evil things, I still have this opportunity to come to the Western Land of Dharma Nature, this pure and beautiful Buddha-land.

I know that I cannot stay here forever and that one day I may still have to undergo retribution, but I am still working hard to chant Namo Amituofo, hoping that my sins can be erased a little more. I am desperately using my thoughts to help my 'demon children and grandchildren,' and I am striving to use my thoughts and the Buddha-name 'Namo Amituofo' to allow many people on Earth who are addicted to drugs to let go of their dependence on drugs as soon as possible. In the places where they sell or exchange drugs, I am propagating the Buddha-name of Namo Amituofo, allowing this Buddha-name to purify these vast areas associated with the sale and consumption of drugs.

I am grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for giving me, Mo Mo, a chance at rebirth. Even though I am so evil and have committed such great wrongs, Practitioner Su has not blamed me at all. Knowing that I have repented, he will surely provide more opportunities for other demon crowds to follow me in repenting and turning towards goodness.

Namo Amituofo.
