This interview features Moge-ya, a primordial demon who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Nature. This account reflects upon his existence spanning over 740 billion years and his profound influence on human history. It was recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on March 22, 2026.

Moge-ya speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Respectful greetings to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. I, Moge-ya, am here to report on my past actions. The two great beings who spoke before me, Mololi and Motobi, shared such brilliant insights and recounted such extensive experiences. I, Moge-ya, have always been a relatively low-profile demon. I have been based on Earth for a very long time, and I have spent a significant portion of that time in China. The exact number of years is long past counting.

The Ancient Origins of an Earth Demon

I am known as the 'Earth Demon.' Of course, I did not begin my existence on Earth. My age is 740.2 billion years, while the Earth is only about four billion years old. It is clear that I did not originally reside on Earth; I was here long before the planet was even formed. Other celestial bodies existed here before, going through many cycles of formation, dwelling, decay, and emptiness before the Earth we know today was finally nurtured.

I was not a demon at the beginning; I was an ordinary, spiritual being. My spiritual nature was quite high, and I lived freely on the planet of that time. However, the planet was later attacked by demon crowds and was nearly destroyed. The beings on the planet could not escape in time, and I, being quite young then, suddenly fell into the Demon Realm. That is a long story, so I will not dwell on it. I have lived on Earth for hundreds of millions of years. I have witnessed many major events in human and prehistoric history. From the dawn of primitive humanity to today's high prosperity, I, Moge-ya, have seen the full spectrum of human life and the impermanence of worldly affairs.

The Lure of the Middle Kingdom

China is a wonderful place. Long ago, while wandering the globe, I set my sights on this land. There were vast stretches of land, though it could not be called 'China' back then; I only knew it as a large territory in the central plains of Asia, near the East. At the time, I did not have a strong affinity for China, but after spending time exploring many places, I found this land to be the most suitable for my survival, so I settled here.

In those early days, I lived on the same surface as primitive humans, but I rarely controlled them. Primitive people were actually very simple, with very few thoughts. It was difficult to find opportunities to control them to harvest energy. Furthermore, they only knew how to gather wild fruits, eat wild vegetables, and sometimes consume raw meat. The energy they possessed was much lower than that of people today, so it was hard to extract any high-quality energy from them. We lived in relative peace; my demon nature was not very strong. Although I was a demon and occasionally exerted minor control, most of the time I relied on the spiritual energy of the earth as my primary source.

The of Potential Through Greed

Therefore, in my early days, I spent my time in the Earth's Demon Realm quite peacefully; my potential was not yet triggered. My potential was truly awakened only when I discovered the rapid growth of human desire and greed. At that time, I was drawn to this evil force and began to control greedy people on a large scale. This behavior became increasingly severe, and I became unable to stop.

In the past, people were not very greedy. But in later China, especially over the last three to five thousand years as we approached the modern era, the greed in people's hearts grew continuously. Those in positions of power and influence, once they grasped authority, hungered for even more power and wealth. They became deeply mired in the : wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep. These phenomena completely provoked my nature as a demon. Watching such behavior, my own latent evil thoughts and greed were triggered. Consequently, I intensified my control over these people, forcing them to chase after more energy. The greater the satisfaction they derived from wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep, the easier it was for me to manipulate them and obtain the energy and stimulation I desired.

The Puppet Masters of History

Especially with monarchs, ministers, generals, and those in power throughout the ages, I could instantly perceive the unfathomable, endless greed deep within their hearts. I easily nurtured these negative habits, leading to many actions that brought disaster to the nation and suffering to the people.

At this point, I was no longer low-profile. I completely flipped, becoming a very ugly demon in the eyes of others. My appearance at that time was truly hideous. Honestly, these actions were not carried out by me alone; I participated alongside my demon children and grandchildren and countless other forces from the Demon Realm. We cooperated, each taking what we needed, extracting what we wanted from human beings.

Because our numbers were so vast, when people generated greed that attracted us, we had to compete for the energy from these important figures. In fact, we did not need to worry about the source of energy, because if a monarch was greedy, most of the ministers and people below him would develop the same habits, making it easy for us to obtain energy.

The Palace of the Yellow River

Our methods and influence were deep and far-reaching. For those throughout the dynasties who became entangled with the word 'greed,' it was truly an unfortunate affair. Their small greed quickly turned into great greed, and great greed turned into massive, insatiable greed. So, it is not an exaggeration for everyone to call me a 'Greed Demon.' I am happy to accept such a title; after all, it is the truth.

Let me talk about where I and my massive team of demon children and grandchildren built our demon palace and settled. To be honest, we were a group of 'migratory demons'; we did not have a fixed residence. Our demon palaces were scattered across many sections of the Yellow River basin—by the river, near streams or tributaries, wherever the Yellow River flowed, we had once stayed. This was because early Chinese civilization began in the Yellow River region, with the Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties. We followed the path of civilization, always staying in the Yellow River area. Our demon palace was very magnificent. Think about it: we were such immensely greedy and evil demons, so we must have plundered a great deal of energy and precious items.

The Illusion Shattered by Practitioner Su

We kept these treasures in the giant warehouses of our demon palace, thinking that these gold, silver, and jewels could be left for our future demon children and grandchildren as trophies to show off to later generations. But all of this changed in an instant when Practitioner Su brought 'Namo Amituofo' to the Divine Land of China to perform a great Chao Du. Practitioner Su flattened the demon palace in one stroke, and the gold, silver, and jewels all vanished in an instant. Only then did we realize that all of this was merely an illusion.

Haha, to be honest, Practitioner Su did not gain any benefit from flattening our demon palace. The only thing Practitioner Su wanted to do was to save us all and send us to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. Unfortunately, our group of demons was not very smart, and it took us a long time to adapt to this change. Only later did we truly understand that Practitioner Su came to save us, not to harm us. We are very fortunate for this. Now that we know the truth, we dare not have any complaints, and it is impossible for us to take any retaliatory actions against Practitioner Su. Of course, at this moment, we are held on the lotuses in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and we cannot travel far or do anything. After being purified by the Buddha-light, we have completely shed our demon bodies. We can even say that we are now of one heart and one mind with the Buddha, looking at the affairs of the Demon Realm from the Buddha's side.

A Warning Against the Seeds of Greed

We were once so greedy and insatiable; thinking about it now is truly terrifying. The direction we led society was so improper, causing greed to grow in the hearts of the people. This is a major factor that leads a nation to decline and a country to corruption. I, Moge-ya, am truly guilty of heinous crimes! Looking at China's five-thousand-year history, I am shocked to see that my demon children and grandchildren and I were involved in so many events, both large and small. Whether it was those with monarchical status or the common people, their greed—whether great or small—involved demons like us, especially my vast number of demon children and grandchildren. Many of these actions I was not even aware of, but our group's motto was 'Greed is Supreme.' As long as my demon children and grandchildren met this condition, we were all in the same boat. I did not care what they were greedy for or what they controlled people to be greedy for; I did not ask for details. As long as everyone aligned with the goal of Moge-ya, they could be my demon children and grandchildren. It is truly terrifying to think about.

Currently, as I look back on all the evil deeds from the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I can see that our demonic influence was obvious, far-reaching, and continues to this day. In China, many crimes related to the word 'greed' are deeply connected to us demons. This is truly a great evil that harms the country and the people. When we controlled illegal conglomerates or groups, we prompted them to actively exploit legal loopholes, making that greed increasingly uncontrollable. For example, whether in food production or construction projects, corners were cut. Under the control of such evil thoughts, people were forced to live in unsafe environments, with no regard for the lives and safety of the people. This influence has penetrated into the civilian population. Every grain of rice people eat and every product they use may have the traces of the 'greed' we planted in advance. We could make every single thing, even the smallest 'greed,' slowly double into great greed, massive greed, and monstrous greed.

Therefore, one must never have the thought of 'greed,' because it can be infinitely amplified by us demons. Without people even realizing it, a small mistake gradually evolves into a major one, and by then, it is not an easy thing to fix! Having gone from a great greed-demon to where I am now, I urge everyone not to have even the smallest bit of greed. I especially admonish the demon crowds: do not go and control or induce greed in people anymore. If it only affected a very small country, it might be one thing, but with a country as large as China, how many people's lives can your one thought of greed affect? How deep are the sins created? How heavy is the ? This is a debt we cannot repay!

A Final Blessing

Moge-ya, along with my demon children and grandchildren, sincerely repents before Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su in the Western Land of Dharma Nature for the sins we committed on the Divine Land. Watching Practitioner Su's deliverance, our hearts have calmed down a lot. I hope that many demon crowds like us can surrender to the Buddha early and stop controlling the Chinese people. Otherwise, if people's hearts are allowed to expand infinitely, the scope and number of people affected will be immense.

Today, our has been awakened. The past is truly too painful to look back on; how could I have done such things? Practitioner Su said, 'Do not think too much about it; let go of the past.' Moving forward means following the Buddha; one can still be a good person in the future. I, Moge-ya, sincerely wish that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, under the leadership of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, can successfully create a bright future and bring true Buddhist education to the world and the people of China. Gratitude to the great compassion of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su!

Namo Amituofo.

Moge-ya"
